Actually that isn't quite true. Walter football says Dolphins want to move up badly for Elliot at 3 maybe????
2 nfl.com mocks from today have Jack going to Cleveland....
For me I will be happy with anyone we get and will be very supportive, but my own opinion is Tunsil, VH3, Shaq Lawson, or Jack. Everyone else I'm unsure about. VH3 and Lawson can probably be had in a trade back.
Just rewatched combine stuff. Really forgot how good VH3 looked and how poor braxton miller was. I'd be happy with Hargreaves at 6.
I would just like to point out that I was very high on Treadwell awhile ago because I watch a lot of Ole' Miss games and I liked the way he played. You could tell he wasn't the fastest, but he looked like he could've been an Boldin type guy which I though could help our team. But Charles Tapper a DEFENSIVE LINEMAN ran the 40 in 4.59s and Treadwell ran it 4.63. Tapper's vertical was 34in and Treadwell's was 32.5. They're both 6'3'' , but Tapper weighs 51 pounds more than Treadwell. He looks like he's got the skills to ball in the NFL, but I just really am starting to doubt he is athletic enough to gain consistent separation. People say Dez wasn't blazing fast, but he still ran 0.11s faster than Treadwell and is much more aggressive. Idk I just am really all in with Shepard as the best receiver in this class.
Charone Peake is really starting to interest me, I think and it is only a guess, but I think he lasts until our first fourth round pick and I truly believe he could be BPA there.
Trade back for Lawson Rd 1
Sua Cravens Rd 2 but for inside linebacker next to mosley.
Shilique Calhoun Rd 2.
Kendall Fuller Rd 3
Rashard Higgins Rd 4
Willie Beavers Rd 4
Keith Marshall Rd 4
My ideal and final mock

Assuming we have a solid year and end up in the 20s, a guy who is really strong on my radar is Jonathan allen, senior 5tech from Alabama. He can challenge and tackles and guards, strong eneough for the interior and very light on the feet with rapid shuffles and shows a basic understanding of hand usage making him a quality 5tech. I like him to play 5tech for us better than anybody in 2016, yes that includes buckner. Has good vision and plays very disruptive. Isn't too reliant on strength or athleticism and shows quality technique even though it could use some refining, appears very coachable. High floor and ceiling. If you haven't already, check out his film.
Also, is travin dural returning for his senior year? I was real big on him and I'm tryna figure out where the hype went, haven't seen his name in months.
As soon as I saw this thread I said oh my gosh Travin Dural! Lol he'll be just like OBJ imo. But yes he did return to LSU.
I don't think Jones is there in the 6th, but that would really make the defense youthful.
Saw two mocks yesterday that didn't have Lawson or Dodd in the first round. Seems awfully unlikely in my opinion.
Bad news in my opinion, Cincy is now moving on from Corey Coleman or Josh Doctson as their first round selection, and are now zeroing in on my favorite Sterling Shepard. I told you all he was first round talent and would be a steal in the second. He'll wreak havoc from the slot if Aj Green is on the outside.
Ravens owner said we are not going to trade up, but could see us trade down...
I guess we have to decide which is better, pick 6 and 36 or like 14 and 18.
15 minutes ago, Somerset Ravens said:Trading back from #6 to #14 for Oakland's 2nd and 3rd picks would be great value. I don't think Oakland would give that much, we would be lucky to get their 2nd and 4th picks. Dodd seems like a reach at 14. IMO Lawson is a better option at 14.
I would agree with you, but I think it's a stretch that Lawson is still there at 14. Heck Dodd might not be there at 14 either, but regardless I'd take either one. If they are both available, I'd tend to Lawson as a practical matter.
I think Alexander may fall after hearing that Carolina and I think Pittsburgh didn't have a first round grade on him. Oakland is at 14 so it is only an 8 spot trade up. A second and third might not be enough, but I think that any team that wants Zeke will have to trade with us because if the cowboys don't take him, I've seen the consensus is Philly at 8. San Fran will take a quarterback so I think that also adds to our trade value.
So the more that I think about it, we are going to get a bunch of guys back healthy and have made a few really good moves this offseason. I think that takes us with some injury luck from a 5 win team to possibly a 10 win team in my opinion. With so many injuries over the last few years, we have had to sign a lot of men to fill our holes left by injuries and so, I think we have some really quality depth which is encouraging. Unfortunately, I think we lack elite talent in too many positions to say we're going to be an AFC championship-Superbowl quality team next year. I think we need:
1. A good tackle prospect who can spend the year at guard and take over for Monroe if injured and next year if we cut him.
2. One more wide receiver. I don't think it has to be a Treadwell or Doctson or even a Boyd or Fuller, but a prospect with upside like Shepard or Peake.
3. A middle linebacker who is a 3 down player next to Mosley. Jack easily solves this issue, but I think it will more likely come from free agency before or after June cuts.
4. A defensive end. Guy did really well last year, but Canty is gone and adding someone like Buckner and allowing Guy to rotate in is a scary though with TJ and BW.
5. OLB. Suggs and Doom will be back and Zadarius flashed at the end of last year, but right now Upshaw isn't on this team and we didn't get enough pressure last year.
6. CB. I have faith in Wright and Smith on the outside with Davis in the slot, but if one goes down, Arrington didn't look good last year and there's no one else currently.
These are in no particular order, but they are my areas of upgrade. I know we say we don't draft for need, but free agency is over and we have some holes. If we don't focus the draft defensively, I think we are going to look weak and rely on Joe more than we'd like. So, I think trading back an acquiring at least an additional second rounder would really help add the speed and upside and hunger and youth to our defense we desperately need.
All that said, I know it takes two to trade, but I think we're in a good spot to trade at 6 in front of San Francisco. So here goes my second mock!
RD1. Trade back with the Raiders who are apparently aggressively looking at Ezekiel Elliot and we take Kevin Dodd and there second and third round picks.
RD2. Mackensie Alexander- We get the best of both worlds with these 2 picks because I believe Alexander is coming in with a high floor and pretty high ceiling and Dodd is coming in a little raw, but has a huge ceiling.
RD2. Sterling Shepard - Probably going to be our 5th wide receiver this year which is scary good. Gets mentored by SSS this year, takes starting slot receiver next year and adds as KR and PR.
RD3. Willie Beavers - I think he has the quickness to play guard this year and move to LT next year!
RD3. Kentrell Brothers - Adds the coverage ability we need to ILB position next to Mosley.
Rd4. Eric Striker - Adds nice pass rush ability, really strong guy 23 reps on bench press. Quality tape at Oklahoma.
Please comment and tell me what you think!
I worry a bit about middle linebacker to be honest. I can't say realistically anyone would be available in the draft, but I would certainly like Myles Jack if he is there. Ultimately though, I am uncomfortable knowing that our middle linebacker corps are Mosley, Brown, Orr and Mcclellan. Now Mosley is the man and Orr looked good on 3rd down last season, but he is no Daryl Smith that's for sure. If we walk away with Jack, I think Ozzie would be a genius for adding so much speed a versatility to the defense and saving money on Smith, but if not, I'm not sure someone else like Brothers in the draft or Arthur Brown are ready to be the man this year.
WJ3 always has his hands in the right place.

Also, not sure if you are aware. You can edit your posts, so you don't have to make separate posts with them.
I really want WJ3 in the 2nd!
Thank you for making me aware!
Ok so I have waited thus far to do a mock, but please tell me what you guys think! I am only going to do the top 3 rounds.
This is contingent on what I believe will happen in that Colin Kaepernick will be a Brown, Mike Wallace and Courtney Upshaw will be Ravens.
Trade back with Rams for their 2nd and 3rd round picks this year.
Rd1. Reggie Ragland - Fills the hole next to Mosley and has pass rush capabilities.
Rd2. William Jackson III - Absolutely great depth he'll be this year and future dominant starter.
Rd2. Sterling Shepard - Adds to the depth this year with Waller moving to TE and absolutely has the means to take over SSS's role next year.
Rd3. Charles Tapper - Ravens are high on him, very athletic guy will battle with Guy and Carl Davis for the starting spot next to BW and TJ.
Rd3. LeRaven Clark - Quality depth as an insurance policy for Eugene Monroe, I believe Jensen will be a high quality LG next year.
I think Weddle means Webb is back in the slot to be honest which I am happier about frankly. I expect Wallace to sign here tomorrow. If that happens I think we need a OT, OLB, and MLB. With emphasis on MLB in my opinion. I think Monroe will be serviceable if healthy, we just need an insurance policy. With suggs coming back, that helps a lot and Zadarius smith looked pretty decent at the end of last year. But again, insurance necessary. Now Zach Orr has been a pleasant surprise, but I now think adding myles jack has the biggest impact on our team. Have real high hopes for this 2016 team. Go ravens!
I am just worried about VH3. The end of the year was a little unsettling, but I don't really hold that against him. What I don't like is when you watch tape of him tackle and the you watch tape of Matt Elam tackle, it's practically identical. So if he doesn't wrap his guy up consistently, and he likes to be aggressive and jump routes, that seems like you're going to see 4 interceptions, but 4 times he gets burned for a long touchdown. Now that might not be so bad as a rookie, but if additionally he misses tackles Matt Elam style, he's going to be a liability because it seems we cannot coach that bad habit out.
Is *not lethally
I know last time I said this a couple people shot me down within moments, but Sterling Shepard is the best receiver in this class. He runs extremely good routes. He is lethally fast, but has good speed and is quicker than hever is fast. His hands and arms are enormous for someone 5'10. I think if I remember correctly they are about the same as doctsons. Regardless he put up 20 reps on the bench press which was the most by any receiver and then posted a 41 inch vertical. Now who cares about all that stuff if he isn't a player and good stand up guy, but he is. He's a class act and plays with grit that I only see in himself and Tyler Boyd. He will be a number one receiver because when it comes down to it he wants to ball and doesn't drop anything. Ifor he were 6 foot 1, he'd be top 15, but thankfully we can take him at 37 or whatever it is at the beginning of round 2. Please let me know what you think!

Although I don't think it's likely, if you truly wanted Elliot you would have to jump Dallas, and San Diego wants to trade out, so who knows! Dallas might even then trade out!
