  1. It's a shame that the average Joe can never really know the details of those phone calls. What kind of "bonanza" were we looking for? I think, given the value of this years draft that I would have been satisfied with a swap of 1st rounders and a third and fifth rounder to move back from 17 to 28 or 30. Especially considering that you used the #17 pick on a player that will have no immediate impact for the Ravens. He maight not even start this year. I suppose it depends on wether he can beat out a player that is a year or two older but otherwise exactly like him in Arthur Brown. You guys dropped the ball big time here. Shame.

People always want to act as if they know something. Unless you're a GM or have had experience as a GM, what gives you the confidence to question the practice of a successful FO?

  2. Ozzie make it up tomorrow something good maybe a Wr or OT make me feel confident again the Safteies disappoint me Cj Mosley great pick though.

The only thing that can truly make one feel confident are games won in the regular season.  At the end of the day, results produced are all that matter and not the "what I think will happen" attitudes that fans have.

  3. I was driving in the car while listening to ESPN radio.  When they announced that JJ had been resigned, I shouted to the top of my lungs and did a Joe Flacco fist pump!  I was really disappointed when I came to the forums later on that day to see mixed reactions by this signing.  What has JJ done or not done, to warrant such negativity?  In that Denver game, he looked really, really good! Even after coming back from his injury, his return game didn't diminish.

JJ isn't a bruiser or a go-to guy. BUT, JJ is that dynamic guy!  He's the X factor that will create a miracle for you, when a miracle is all you have left to win/stay in the game.  Honestly, he's been Baltimore's secret weapon!

  4. Smith is a hot head, and to describe him as a team leader is somewhat of a joke, team leaders to blow up, and throw teammates, and management under the bus....Boldin lead by example, without being a locker room distraction...If he can behave fine, but when he doesn't get his way, then we will see how it pans out....

Well... according to the press conferences, it appears that one of the things that Harbs emphasized to Smith was for him to "be himself". I'd imagine that the FO is aware of Smith's "boisterous" character.  Harbs is probably the last person who would willingly in someone who will wreck havoc in the locker room and dismantle team organization.  If the FO can accept Smith's character, then I have no worries either.
