BWill is a fool, love it.

  2. I wish him the best of luck, but... I'm glad we don't have to play him. He'd want to issue his own blood and guts on us
  3. Defense provides offense 4 turnovers, holds top scoring offense to 20 points, and yet people complain about Pees? Are you serious?!

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

@AZRaven I'd agree on some of the playcalling. Definitely questionable at times.

    2. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

DVOA has the Ravens with the 13th best pass defense. Takes into account down and distance, score, and opponent strength. Just putting that out there.

    3. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

Also, Ravens have the best passer rating allowed in the red zone at 33.3. Next closest? Giants at 73.4

  4. If we get a convincing win against the Colts, LOOK OUT AFC!

      DomMcRaven

You already know the deal! We gotta get this win!

      JO_75

That number one seed is wide open considering how the Patriots and Broncos have been playing. We NEED this win.

  5. So.... it seems we have a new trend where a blowout occurs in each TNF game

      DomMcRaven

Well the Giants were the away team...

It was only a stat from a sports network. That is all. Soon to be forgotten. Baseball has the most insignificant stats.

That low-key got me more excited for this game.

  7. AFC North is looking GOOD!

    1. callahan09

      callahan09

Yeah, I think this division is back to being the best in football. If not for 2 really, really close division losses for the Browns, even they look like a good team this year.

  8. When the draft comes, we need to focus heavily on Def...AGAIN!

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

For the record, I never praised him.

    2. BSHU_Miami

      BSHU_Miami

Neither did I, lets keep drafting defense and not see an improvement....hmmm

    3. Ravenslifer

      Ravenslifer

Why? We've been hitting defense very hard for years - the top 3 picks in each of our last 2 drafts, and the top pick in each of our last 5, have been defensive players. Last time we took offensive player round 1 was Oher, last WR round 1 Clayton (10 years ago next draft). At a certain point, the guys we drafted need to play up to expectations, and we need to think about the long-term future of our offense as well.

  9. LOL @ all of those who keep complaining that we didn't keep Rainey

    1. juanman7

      juanman7

Because of the fumbles? How can he concentrate when his team is getting obliterated. If we had kept him we would have the future running back especially now that Rice is gone. They really did blow it with him.

    2. rmcjacket23

      rmcjacket23

Rainey isn't very good. Vastly inconsistent play, and even on the Bucs, he requires multiple injuries to even get a start.

And no juan, there is no excuse for fumbling twice. Concentration, regardless of the score, shouldn't be an issue for a PROFESSIONAL football player.

  10. Such a much needed win...for the players...the FO...and all of Ravensnation!

  11. LOL even the president of the United States felt "compelled" to make a statement against Ray. That's how you know this thing has gotten way out of hand.

    1. budman

      budman

True. Did he feel compelled to comment about Big Ben and what he did to those women? TWICE. No punishment from the Steelers on that either. Just sayin.

    2. MissRay27

      MissRay27

Tell him there are more important matters like taxes, ISIS, Ebola, jobs and a worthless Congress he should concern himself with.

  12. So according to unnamed online article "The Baltimore Ravens are the most despicable sports franchise in America". Looks like we're back to being the 'thugs' of the NFL. Nothing we can do about that I suppose...

    1. SeaHawk

      SeaHawk

We were actually better when we were known as thugs. So this doesn't really hurt my feelings at all. Keep calling us thugs.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

I have no issue in us being perceived by everyone that way. I just wish our D had that swagger to go with it.

    3. Nightman

      Nightman

All I gotta to them is what a famous Baltimore QB once said "Talk is cheap, let's go play!"

  13. To all the people saying nothing has changed, obviously they haven't been looking at the run game.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

well the early run game looked a lot like last year.

  14. You mean to tell me... that after waiting 7 months, I get to finally see the Ravens play their first season game in a little less than 30 minutes? You mean to tell me that this god-awful wait has finally ended?

  15. Why wouldn't he?
  16. I just saw a Bills hype video for this season. I've seen one for the Broncos, Giants, and Eagles.....where's our Ravens Hype video!? I iz sad : (

  17. Based on the Playoff predictions from other online fans, the Ravens truly are gonna be under the radar

    1. ravensnick

      ravensnick

I seen a fairly large amount of the writers say we probably will be in the playoffs

  18. Don't know why you got so many negatives for such an insightful comment. I'd rather see more post such as yours that explain the technical aspects of football more than reading the countless whining and needless doubt posts I read from others.
  19. Y'know what's the worst part of this draft? It's the fact that we're gonna have to deal with all of the disgruntled comments about the draft all the way until the season starts. We get it. You don't like the results of the draft, but how long do you have to keep telling us that? Show us mercy please.

    1. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

That's because the Ravens didn't envision having Pitta go down or an anemic run game. The offense had carried them through the previous season while the defense was historically bad. The offense only lost Boldin and Birk, so there wasn't a reason to believe that there would be a drop off of epic proportions, but injuries will do that to a unit

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Yes injuries will do that when you have zero depth. Sure, there will be a drop off with injuries anyway usually. But not that big if you have any depth at all. Now we get to my point - we still have zero depth.

    3. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

They didn't have great depth on defense, but they dedicated free agency to the offense and the draft to the offense. They didn't just neglect the offense

  20. Time will soon tell. One thing that sucks is that it's really hard to find good footage on a lot of these guys, Makes it harder for us fans to see what these guys are about prior to training camp
  21. Stats are here: http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/480543/jerry-rice-jr
  22. When you copy and paste from Twitter, it does all that automatically.
  23. I can't find any footage of him on YT,
  24. How did fans do a better job? The season hasn't even started, so how do you know which players will bring more production to their teams?
  25. Maybe it's good that many of you are in a frantic state. Best to go into the season with low expectations and get your mind blown away if we're awesome!

    1. Alaska Alaska!

      Alaska Alaska!

A lot of the highly acclaimed 1st round players also have an injury bug. Even Calvin Johnson gets injured. Secondly, Brown doesn't need to be a #1 receiver. The Ravens don't need to be a top 10 offense. They just need to have a fluid offense. Rather have a dominate defense and a scoring/game managing offense than vice versa.

    2. xxDarby

      xxDarby

so basically you would be ok with 2 number 2 WRs in the future because that's what it looks like

    3. Alaska Alaska!

      Alaska Alaska!

Maybe we just can't develop #1 receivers, which is why we end up bringing in vet WR (who end up being the #1). But you know what? That formula has worked for us in the past. If anything, I'm more concerned about RB than a receiver.
