Beating the Steelers aside, ya know one other reason I really want us to win? So we can end the talks of "This team can't do anything without Ray and Ed"
As much as I'm not happy about the possibility of us not making the playoffs, I can still see the positives of having winning seasons despite us being in rebuilding modes with 2013 and 2014. But after reading these boards, I'm truly convinced that a lot of Ravens fans cannot cope with mediocrity. From "let's bench Flacco" to "We need to fire Ozzie and Harbs", for the well being of Ravens fans, I don't think this team can afford to not be champions of something...
I don't think he let that get to him. He stayed on as DC until he was offered a HC job.
We are rebuilding s much as people don't see that. Our time will come, just as it did in 2012. Patience is key. successful seasons as we have had throughout the years has become an expectation. We should appreciate it so much more than we do.
As you know I am Not a neg, doom & gloom fan.Its the positive that Ray Lewis embeded in us.
Seattle doesn't have great WR, and yet they win in a tough division. Hell, their top 2 WRs (Baldwin and Kearse) are undrafted
Not going to lie either, you'll never get a defense that good with Pees here.
As much as I've defended Pees this season, I will definitely agree with you on that
The Seahawks have also allowed fewer PPG in the last 2 seasons than the Ravens have managed in any season since 2011
All week long...Over and over again.. I kept saying "Stop underestimating the Jags" "We don't have the luxury of resting players". Some of you obviously havent seen the Jags play. They play tough on DEF. TOUGH. This won't be a shoe-in win.
From the domestic assaults issues, to topsy turvy performances from all NFL teams, devastating loses (Victor Cruz, Pitta), unexpected off the field injuries (Cam Newton and Eric Berry), and a hell of a lot more....This has to be one of the most emotional seasons in NFL history
I wanna see more Crockett Gilmore!
It was a shame to see that long reception called back last game. He could again be a surprise X factor in the upcoming games.
He looks content blocking and stunned when they throw to him
Give him a chance for some recieving work in sunny Miami
Blame Pees huh? You think Rex would do better? Pagano? Wade? We don't have the personnel to even press a sandwich together. The coach can only do so much. Ozzie is the only one who can fix that secondary.
Exactly! And we had Cam! Exact same situation.
@redrum52 we've spent plenty of picks on the secondary. From 09-14 we've had 18 draft picks first 3 rounds not including the comp for Gilmore. We've spent 2 first rounders and 2 3rd rounders on secondary players or 22 percent of all picks. If we include pass rushers, that's another 3 picks, total of over 40 percent of early draft picks on pass defense. As far as offense, from 2008 until now we ranked 11th, 9th, 16th, 12th, 10th, 25th, and are currently 6th in offense this...
This defense will not improve until we see a change in the coaching philosophy. When one scheme isn't working, change it up, disguise it, do something. Not every defense is perfect, but some are just great at masking those weaknesses. That's not Pees' strength.
It just wouldn't make any sense if Forsett isn't awarded "Comeback Player of the Year"
Look at the Broncos and/or Colts forum and you'll find that the fans are saying that their teams are gonna be "one and done" in the postseason. This just goes to show...no matter how good your team is, fans are always ready to write their team off after a loss
@Dom... in their defense, Manning was brought to win a Sb, not have a high season win total. I'd be a little mad as well, considering they're basically going all in, in the short term.
Many teams do not have a forum. In my opinion, of the few I have seen, we have the best membership
Every cloud has a silver lining... we're not alone.
If 2012 was the year of the Rookie QB, 2014 is the year of the Back Up QB
Which brings the question : Which would you rather have, a Good QB that gets hurt a lot or a Bad QB that never gets injured?
Personally I want the Good/Solid QB that I can count on game in game out, year in year out. As opposed to a QB like RG3 who shows Elite skill levels and amazing plays, but will always be injury prone.
I prefer a good back up QB
It's week 10 and the Browns are in first place in the AFC North LOL
Who Dey they scream...who Dey.... "Who Dey gonna fire" is all they're gonna be screaming now LOL
Even after our losses I still love the Ravens! (But seriously guys, stop losing)
-SIGH- This is gonna be a long week till Sunday. At least watching the Redskins lose tonight will make me feel a little better
Nah... even the Skins losing won't make me completely happy. It will only give me a smirk and a chuckle.
Well Washington didn't lose but we got to see Dallas melt down on prime time television so that isn't too bad
Your prediction is a cause for us to excell as they were under dogs playing in Cowboy world.
If we just, run the ball more... sincerely keep to the running game, then we would have won today and in Indy. Joe is awesome, but Joe and the receiving core can't be our primary motif. Let our running game do the big work. Tone down on Deep throws
We definitely didn't abandon the run. However, I feel like we relied more on the passing game when we should just try to commit more to the run game. Look at our past games. When we have a healthy balance between running the ball and passing, we win. We lose when we break that balance.
We threw it 34 times and ran it 26 times. The balance wasn't the issue.
What people are asking for isn't really balance... they are asking for run-heavy.
Calling it now, Jimmy is gonna get an INT against Dalton!
he seems to have daltons number. lets hope he shadows AJ and we dont end up seeing chykie trying to run down the sideline with him
I predict one for him and one for Hill
These next two games are gonna be HUGE!
