  1. Talent wise the Ravens are the worst team in the NFC North. When you combine subpar coaching, we don't have a chance. IMO it's deeper than that. Every year we try to trade down "looking for a late round draft steal." My question is why? We should be trying to trade up to get some talented players. We don't have a L. Bell, Antonio Brown, AJ Greeen, Tyrell Pryor or OBJ type player on our team. We do have a lot of often injured veterans though. We also have a head coach that doesn't know his team or opponent enough to know when to kick a field goal.
  2. I agree with the comments that came before mine. C.J. Made a great play. He is not responsible for producing points. The coaching, from the head coach to the OC has been terrible for 2 years now. The gambling with points has to stop. The OC has to find a way to slow down the other teams pass rush. Note to the OC: when the run game is working play action can slow down the rush, not lining up in the shot gun and throwing the ball every play. Let's also not forget the effect of trading down every draft to stock pile picks instead of taking the best available player. Regardless of how many picks we have, the team can only have 53 active players on game day. Maybe it's draft philosophy. For instance, WRs Coates, Crowder, Diggs and Lockett were taken in the 2015 draft after Perriman. IMO..It seems we have the least talented team in the AFC North (except Joe) and a lot of oft injured older players. Is it time to shake things up??
  3. I'm an arm chair GM. I don't understand why we alienate and release a potential pro bowl LT and welcome back an aging WR. As a fan I'm less concerned if a guy believes in a little puff, puff give than having a once dynamic player who will last half of the year. Don't get me wrong, i like the old guy (I'm from his generation) however he hasn't been willing to alter his playing style in order to stay on the field and be effective. Memo to old guys everywhere: We know you were tough when you were 20...now that your almost 40 play with your head first. We will forgive you if you run out of bounds sometime. I digress. We have to protect Joe better. Couldn't that veteran LT contribute to that when he was healthy and happy? No offense to the rookie LT but would you protect Bentley with a BB gun?
  4. Someone once said that the Ravens GM is a genius at finding late round draft gems and now he works to prove it true every year. I would like to point out that for most of those years the team was anchored by the leadership of 3 of the best players in the history of the NFL. (Ogden, Lewis and Reed) Some of the late round gems are good players but we do not have a player the caliber of Le'veon Bell, Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, Jeremy Hill or Giovani Bernard. We should have taken the best player available which includes Tunsil and traded some of the late round picks to get more selections in the 2nd and 3rd round. I don't understand the makeup of the team right now. A lot of aging veterans (who stop the young talent from playing and being developed) and some players we hope can play on this level. Well...at least we have Joe. Go Ravens!
  5. Only if he can play special teams as well.
