Elite Edge Rush and Receivers. Add a Julio/Odell to our team or a Von Miller/Khalil Mack and we probably win 2-3 more games. Healthy OL would have helped a ton as well. As we sit this offense, we are basically a talented WR and healthy OL away from a fearsome pass offense. Wallace and Perriman would make an outstanding #2 and #3 combo, but they just aren't #1 caliber guys.

You could literally say this for every team in the NFL

  2. Free Agency Moves

    Signed:

Eric Weddle S-Finally we get an undoubtedly great safety in the backfield for us.

Mike Wallace WR-Another deep threat to put on the field just in case Breshad is tired or hurt. Personally, I'm lukewarm on the signing.

Brandon Boykin CB- Arguably the most underrated player in FA. This guy is an absolute superstar in the slot, but was not utilized for whatever reason in Philly and in Pittsburgh. Well, their stupidity is our gain as I could see him coming here for a relatively cheap deal considering how talented he is. Who knows, maybe he is good on the outside despite being undersized.

    Cuts/ Losses:

    Kelechi Osemele

    Daryl Smith

    Will HIll-SMH

    Canty

    Draft:

    Round 1: Pick 6

    Myles Jack LB-UCLA

Probably the second best player in this draft behind Leremy Tunsil. He is hands down the best athlete in this draft, and his coverage rivals a lot of the safeties in the draft. We plug him in the middle of our defense and offenses can forget about throwing it over the middle. He does just about everything well, and while I do feel like he can get off blocks just a little bit better I think he can be taught how to do that with our coaches. I know some people may not like this pick but its BPA, and prefer a "luxury pick" over a reach any day.

The Ravens trade in their 36th pick for the Rams 43rd pick and their 76th pick.

    Round 2 Pick 43

    Image result for noah spence

    Noah Spence RUSH-EKU

This might be a huge stretch that we pick him here. It's not that I don't think he makes it here, I think we might not pick him up because of his baggage off the field and the fact that his interviews weren't as good as they could have been. This pick is now especially unlikely after Will Hill's latest slip up, but lets just all say that he is picked here in spite of what has transpired. He is a talented football player, and he has the potential to be a ridiculous pass rusher. He has good speed, good agility, and violent hands. Sit him behind Doom and Suggs to help him develop his moves, and he will be a monster.

The Ravens trade their 70th pick and their 104th to the Panthers for the 62nd pick

    Round 2 Pick 62

    Artie Burns CB- Miami University

The first thing that stands out with Artie is his size. He is a perfect example of what the prototypical corner is now in the NFL. He's tall, fast, and he has great ball skills. He should have stayed in school one more year to hone his skills because he is very raw, but due to the death of his mother he has to declare now to provide for his family. Even though he is raw, I think we should take him here because he flashes on film and we won't need him to start yet since we have Shareece who has proven he is more than serviceable as a #2 corner.

    Round 3 Pick 76

    Jerald Hawkins OT-LSU

I think he falls here because he is way too inconsistent. There are games where this guy wipes out the competition and then there are games where he is absolutely destroyed. Some of it is technique and some of it is just that he flat out needs to improve his strengt h. We pick him up here to sit behind Monroe for a few games and then start by week 8 once Eugene goes down with an injury.

    Round 4 Pick 130

    Image result for kenny lawler

    Kenny Lawler WR-Cal

I would love to take Leonte Carroo, but for obvious reasons, we will not be touching him. Braxton Miller is intriguing but I think he goes in the late 3rd or early 4th because of his potential alone.Well, that's okay because we can get a solid WR later. Kenny Lawler may not be the fastest, strongest, or well built wide receiver in the draft but he can play football. He is the master of gorgeous catches. Just put on his tape and you will see him do some ridiculous things when the ball is in the air. He also has quick feet which means there is something to work with when it comes to running routes. He could get a little stronger, learn the nuances of the game a little better, and work on his concentration drops; give him 2 good years to develop and he could definitely carve out a role as a playmaker for us.

    Round 4 Pick 132

    Eric Murray CB-Minnesota

A very underrated corner. He possesses really good technique and plays with a chip on his shoulder which is something I like. He managed 24 pass breakups over the course of his carreer which shows that he has pretty good ball skills. He is honestly just a depth pick with the potential to be a really good slot corner in a year or two.

    Round 4 Pick 134

    Image result for shawn oakman

    Shawn Oakman DL- Baylor

This is a purely potential based pick, and I feel like late in the 4th round is good value for him. I pesonally think he is going to be a huge disappointment if he goes any higher than the middle of the 4th round. Raw would be an understatement for this guy, but the tools are there. He is strong, he has long arms, and he has pretty good flexibility for a man his size. WIth that said, he stands up way too much at the point of attack; he has to learn how to get low and use a variety of moves to beat his man. Stil I could see him taking KLM's spot simply because he offers more upside, and I really can see him being dominate with our DL coaches.

So, what do you guys think? The only thing I wish I could have gotten in my mock draft was a homerun threat gadget guy that could play a little RB/WR/PR/KR, but there really aren't that many people like that in this draft. I hope you guys liked my draft!

    Ogbah or Floyd ?

Floyd added 15 lbs at the combine and was blazing fast. But Ogbah is bigger and could filled Sizzle spot a bit more. Floyd is more Dooms spot. I'm starting to belieev 1 of the 2 might be available at the top of the 2nd round along with Spence

    Floyd no question

Trade down couple slots draft Spence then trade up for nkemdiche. For my dollars nkemdiche will be a top10 Defensive player in the nfl. In round3 I like Demarcus Robinson or Deion Jones. Has some drama but in my opinion the best receiver in the draft!! If ravens got Spence and Nkemdiche the defense and rush would be  ferocious!! Then add Demarcus Robinson and it could be the best harvest ravens ever produced since Ogden Lewis!! If ravens could land Spence Nkemdiche Deion Jones and Demarcus Robinson that could one if best harvests ever in football. But in a somewhat weak draft Deion Jones will go before round3. But Spence Nkemdiche and Demarcus Robinson is a very good day at the office. It is what you really call getting in early on exploding  stocks.

No way we can trade back and then get Spence

  5. You lost me with the "solid depth" argument. SSS is a great player, but he's old, if he's getting #1 reps again, he'll get hurt again, BP is a workout warrior, who doesn't look that convincing on tape and Kamar matured into a solid WR, but that's it. We don't have much behind those players outside of maybe Camp, who constantly gets hurt.

I think that Matthews, Camp, Butler, Brown, and Waller are all pretty good depth. They can come in on a few plays here and there. They don't have to be game changers they just have to be decent. SSS's load will definitely be lightened this year. I think he starts off the year as the number 2 WR and then slowly gets regulated to slot as the season moves forward as Breshad steps up (of course I could be just a little optimistic with the BP coming into his own, but I think he is special).

  6. Resignings:

    Justin Tucker

    Morgan Cox

    Shareece Wright

    Kamar Aiken

    Zach Orr

    Ryan Jensen

    Jeremey Butler

    Terrance West

    Kaelin Clay

    Daniel Brown

    Chris Matthews

It should also be noted that I think we cut Pitta and Monroe. Also, Flacco will definitely restructure, but anyway on to the draft.

Round 1- Mackensie Alexander CB Clemson

Now before I get negged or something for this being a humongous reach, I think that Alexander is the best cover corner in this draft. Nobody throws to him because he blankets his receiver so well. Good range, good agility, good football IQ sign me up.  In my opinion, Vernon Hargreaves is vastly overrated. He finished his last two games pretty badly and even before that I soured on him. Vernon is good but he isn't great. Ramsey should not be taken here because he isn't really that good of a corner and he isn't so good at safety that I can justify him being selected this high.

Round 2- Jason Spriggs OT Indiana

He is an excellent pass blocker and he is a pretty good run blocker. He has a really good agility off the snap, good feet, and good balance. The only real thing he needs to work on is his strength but even then he can come in and be a great LT for us.

Round 3- Noah Spense OLB Eastern Kentucky

This dude should have been a late first or at the worst an early second round, but due to personal demons his draft stock plummeted. For those who don't know, Noah Spence was one of the top pass rushers in last years class but he was found to have an eccstacy addiction and was kicked off the Ohio State football team. He transfered to Eastern Kentucky to better himself and his pass rushing skills and his descision has paid off in spades. I think he falls here because of his past.

Round 4- Chris Jones DE/DT Mississippi State

A very raw athlete that we can rotate in and out of the line up. I like his versatility and I think he could even be a starter on this DL in a year or two. I think he could become a pretty good 5-tech with Urban as a rotational piece.

Round 4- Karl Joseph S West Virginia

He is still my favorite safety in this draft. He is fast, tough, hard hitter, can cover, and has swagger to boot. An injury knocks him down in the draft but his loss is our gain.

Round 5- Braxton Miller WR/ATH Ohio State

Okay, so there is a reason why I waited so long to pick a WR and his name is Kamar Aiken. Now I'm not going to lie, I hated him just as much as everyone else did when the season started, but he has really come into his own. And whether we like it or not, Aiken is a really good WR; he has matured with every game that he has played. With Breshad waiting in the wings, SSR coming back, and solid depth, WR doesn't seem as bad of a need as it once was. Anyway on the the prospect, maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't get why people are projecting him to go somewhere in like the third round. Maybe I need to go watch more tape or something but I'm just not seeing it; he had a mere 26 catches for 341 yards and 3 touchdowns The potential is there but he still needs to be coached up

Well that is my mock. I was also aiming for something a little different than what is normally put out on these boards. I personally would be very pleased with this draft. What do you guys think?

  8. I'm not among the masses that are calling for harbs to be fired. I think to be consistently successful you can't be rotating at head coach every 3-5 years. With that said harbs has really driven me crazy this season. The whole Perriman situation, the constant defending of pees. Not giving certain players any chance. Him being totally inconsistent with players. He needs to take a look at himself because he has made a lot of boneheaded decisions this year and some questionable calls.

I love Harbs, but like you mentioned, that is my biggest gripe with him. He gives pretty much all his players (outside of the first round) no snaps. It is so frustrating to have players on the bench that we don't really get to assess because of him!

  9. So I found this article from baltimorebeatdown that showed the exact snap count for players. One thing I found really interesting was that Brooks had 1 snap on defense. Its ridiculous that Harbaugh refuses to play the young safety we just drafted! Here is the link so you can check it out yourselves: http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2015/12/21/10633060/baltimore-ravens-vs-kansas-city-chiefs-final-score-player-snap-counts?_ga=1.167887777.140968338.1450748471
