Do you think we could trade for the Bennett TE from Chicago? Aparently he is on the trade block, and maybe we are interested. The only reason why we might not trade for him is because his cap hit is too big and he is apparently a locker room cancer .
Cap is like $4 mil a year I believe
Cap is an issue. Would love to add his talent though. As for locker room cancer, I am not worried about that at all when it comes to Raven Nation.
He wants an even bigger contract. No thanks.
I am kind of warming up to the idea of taking Maxx Williams in r1 or maybe trading out of our first for an early 2nd and a 4th or something. He is by far the best TE in the class and he could be a really really good weapon.
Similar to Landon Collins, someone could take him in the early 2nd or late 2nd. It's just that the shortage of TE's will make some panic and reach for Williams and Collins.
exactly. and if williams played for bama he would be considered a mid first instead of a 2nd, if collins played for minny he would be considered a 2nd, as a bama fan i can say he isnt worth the hype of a top 15 pick
Williams is pretty much a lock for a late first round pick or one of the first of the second round.
I had faith in Oz when we chose CJ round 1 and i even warmed up to him, but this draft has been absolute crap. You finally choose a TE and he could be had later. Oz you took that comp and fell flat on your face with it. I'm sorrry Oz. Maybe your turn it around but I seriously think you are scared of offensive skill players. All you do is replace our holes with old people with a few years left in the tank at best and draft late round people. Do you ever stop to wonder why our offence was g...
I'll trust Ozzie's track record over a 15 year old's rant anyday.
fair enough...i get that i kinda overreacted but still i'm kidna upset
Darby, just have a little faith in Oz and give Kubiak's offense a chance. The reality is, we won't know how well we did in the draft until about midway through the season and it goes without saying, by that time, it's too late to go back and change it. While I personally have not been overwhelmed with the picks, I wouldn't say that I'm disappointed in them either.
I hope we don't sign Bowe. You have to be a completely different level of bad if you can't find the endzone once and you started every game
Pierre garcon is a free agent?! Why haven't we signed the man!?
I have no idea lol but I'll be SOOOO upset if we don't -__-
Garcon is NOT a FA.
i would be okay with Vic Beasley in the first and Tre McBride later(too bad Vic blew up his combine)
lol thanks for the laugh! that livened up my night (I don't know why though)
Yea, didn't anticipate him destroying his combine the way he did
@calvinsmoke which pass rusher do you think falls to us in round 1?
jeez I kinda overreacted in this draft. I still think we got way too many D line people and the Urban pick was a bit of a reach because he is a little too slow. Other than that, we filled needs at safety, at WR, and to be honest we don't need an all pro RT we just need a decent one. This isn't my favorite draft by far but it is okay
You want to know what sucks? In this upcoming FA period we won't have ANY money to get anyone. I REALLY wanted Kendal Wright so we didn't have to worry about receiver until like r3
Wright not a free agent next year and his salary would be 7 million.
I don't see us winning more than 2 games for the remainder of the season - we're a bad team at the moment.
4-12/5-11 tops, the wizard was right.
Flacco will restructure to free up money, they will either release Pitta and push that hit back or he will do some sort of incentive laden restructure. And honestly, we still have Perriman (could be all we hoped for, just dont' know yet), I think our TE trio is going to be Beast next season. We're a couple of moves here and there and one new DC away from being one of the best in the AFC IMO>
