  1. I hope you enjoy every penny of that $870
  2. I'm getting jitters already! In a year or two the Ravens could have the best Interior in the NFL if healthy. Let's hope Suggs and Doom age like wine
  3. That's 16 guys on the bubble and 7 roster spots to share. And that's excluding 4 injured guys that may come back sometime this season. Ozzie please get some value for the some of these guys before the roster is final. These guys won't last on the Practise Squad and will be snatched in an hour.
  4. #9 Ozzie meets with Chip Kelly to ask if he wants to get rid of any more playmakers for close to nothing.......
  5. You do have a point there. It must be tough going online and finding your name on the "cut list" or a guys mom or sister being crushed my reading such. The good news for the next 10 guys that don't make the 53 man roster is that they won't stay on the practice squad for too long.
  6. This is the the time of the year I hate most! So many players that the Ravens have invested time, money, and picks are on the bubble. Some of them will be gone for little to no compensation. Ozzie has really stacked up on picks for a few years now. Unfortunately, these few weeks are when we say goodbye and other teams vulture on ravens picks. Here's to hoping Ozzie gets some value instead of just releasing studs. I'm sure he already has a Plan B C and D and can't wait to see what's in store. Ravens all the way!
  7. 1- Jernigan back and practicing at full speed! 2- Perriman MRI negative! 3- Brooks Participated in practice. Could get some playing time sooner than later. 3 sighs of relief in one day. I'm happy
  8. I agree. I feel like I'm a 90 year old holding my phone so close to my face.
  9. No it doesn't sound crazy at all.... Brown looked prity good with the limited snaps he got in the 4th quarter. His tackling was good and also showed good instincts diagnosing plays. Hes super fast and can run with any TE or RB on passing plays. I don't know why he's fallen so far down the depth chart. I hope this is a blessing in disguyse where the Ravens can sign him for cheap on a long term contract. But as things stand he's never gonna stay in Baltimore coz he's never gonna get a chance. I literally watched the forth quarter 3 times. One was just to see Brown. I was impressed and by the end of it I was asking myself..... What am I missing here?
  10. Perfectly said. He can pull productive TEs from an empty black hat all day every day. "Jacket to prove it" lol
  11. If Ozzie wins one more Super Bowl it's a rap! He can look down at every single one of them HOFers and know he should have the hall named after him. If this was world football (soccer) Ozzie would be called Sir Ozzie Newsome by his peers and the media. Just sayin
  12. I really hope you are right. Because teams don't usually let go of starting caliber CBs. The modern NFL dictates that you have 1- solid cb to mark the opponents best WR. CHECK (J.Smith) 2- quality CB to line up on the other side. (Webb if he comes anywhere near his old self) 3- good nickle CB because teams lineup with 3 WR sets on 60% of plays. IDK if Arrington is up for that task. We still haven't considered the possibility of injuries as both Webb and J.Smith have missed 50% of their NFL games. Asking Arrington to lineup against opposing ones or twos is a reach. And who's gonna step in for 60 percent of the plays when teams line up with 3wrs? I believe the best option is to go out on a limb and just get a guy who we like. Give up a late draft pick or a player or 2 that probably wouldn't get much playing time anyways. I believe the rebuild is complete and it's time to think Deep playoff run or perhaps Super Bowl.
  13. 1- juice looked a little more bulked and threw some really nice blocks during the short time he was in. I'm pleasantly surprised by him. 2- LT also impressed me. A lot actually! He dropped some weight and didn't lose much power but did look s bit quicker. He made a few nice catches. What impressed me the the most was his patience. He's not there yet but really is showing great signs. He's still running to high at times but for the most part he kept his pads low. He only gained 3 yards per carry but was significant in short yard situations and his stats would be better had he ran behind our starting Oline. Looking forward to next week...
  14. I really hoped we'd pick up boykins from the Eagles via trade block. I got negged by many here which didn't surprise me at all. Then the steelers robbed the Eagles giving up only a 5th rounder in return for his services. PFF rated him 19th best corner last season and his contract is peanuts for this upcoming year. I really hope we got it right with Arrington as i still don't understand why we wouldn't bring them both in and fight with webb for 2,3,and 4 spots as cornerbacks. We would have also been prepared for he worst injury crisis. You can never have enough pass rushers and cornerbacks! I hope Ozzie doesn't let another opportunity like that fly by us. Steelers picking Boykin up made it even more bitter. We have 7.5 mil in cap space and can easily free up more if needed. Tomlin was running up and down the sidelines in their first preseason game yelling I got it right every time he made a play.
  15. For a few hours yesterday when I was on, all the articles had black backgrounds. It seems that the problem has been fixed. Looking forward to a great season and all the surprises you guys have in store for us. Thank you and all the people working behind the scenes for keeping this website running and community alive.
  16. All 3 TE impressed me. Solid foundation to build on and mature as a unit. I was a bit concerned for Maxx as he got up a little gimpy after that play. He needs to understand that he's a big tough guy and smaller defenders will regularly go for his legs. Don't jump over someone with another person standing right behind him in the NFL. That was awesome but no more in preseason please. Save those risky plays for the playoffs.
  17. Dear mods and admins.... I appreciate the effort put into adding some spice to baltimoreravens.com with this new theme. It's cool that we are using Ravens colors but in my humble opinion, it's really tough to read grey text from a black background and even harder to read purple from a black background. I appreciate all the effort put in this website and don't mean to sound negative but I'm literally having to zoom in so much and place my phone inches away from my face. Thank you, Halshayeji
  18. Flacco had one incompletion and that the as a throw away!
  19. I wouldn't say Carl Davis "destroyed" but he surely showed promise. Flashes of brilliance and flashes of ummmm let's say rookieness lol. Zadarius on the other hand disappointed me only because I had very very high expectations for him. I thought he could be McPhee tomorrow. But now I'm back to earth. He can manhandle anyone but he's still a rookie. He needs to diagnose plays pre snap and attack instead of react. It took McPhee 3 years to get there so I'm not pressuring Smith to do that in his first pre season.
  20. My first reaction was what the heck are you doing its pre season! Then after the play i was like yeeeeah!!!!! Had flacco done that on that second down we wouldav probably been in the super bowl
  21. I don't understand why all the negs. Though I don't agree with all your points I think your assessment was fair. I personally wasn't expecting our second unit to run over other teams but I did take away some positives. And I liked that the guys showed some flashes. I am also concerned about our secondary and hope we make one more trade or big pickup as the season nears. I actualy slept well after the game but sure as hell expect more next game
  22. NFL game pass or game rewind are the best investment I ever made lol. No one ever plays the Ravens games unless it's on prime time. Hope Toronto treats you well.
  23. He's playing a little too upright for my liking. Not expecting much more from him at this point but was hoping for more polish.
  24. I hate saying this but z.smith is really struggling out there.
