  1. Yeah, both would be good addiions - sadly, bot the WR- and CB-markets are very slim this year, so both will be very hot commodities - almost surely both out of our price range. i agree this WR market is thin but the CB market is as deep as it's ever been. bringing back wright was something I really didn't expect but I'm glad we made it happen and for a very team friendly price.
  2. I was under the assumption fitszpatrick doesn't count in that formula. But this is even worse than I thought it was. A Dlineman just made 15 mil a year lol
  3. If KO leaves i hope he gets overpaid! Only 3 3rd round comp picks are given each year so KO needs to be one of the top paid FA at any position and not get hurt. It would be a shame if KO only yields us a 4th round comp pick. The players I feel are most likely to beat out KO for a 3rd round comp pick are:- 1-Brock Oswiler (hope he stays with Denver so hes out of the equasion) 2-Janoris Jenkins CB 3- Sean Smith CB 4- Bruce Irvin OLB we need at least 2 of these guys to stay put or KO to make a lot more than them in terms of avg salary.
  4. He's still under contract. I think him and Walker are great depth behind J.Smith and wright. i think it's official now. Ravens go BPA in the draft.
  5. If KO walks, I hope he gets a monster deal to ensure we get a 3rd rnd comp. In the meantime let's celebrate keeping wright coz the D is almost set. I respect how agressive our FO was with a solid plan B before FA starts.
  6. Long as hell but Great post! I enjoyed reading every word lol you seem a bit worried about the WR situation. Sss was on pace for 1600 yards last year. If he's even 75 percent of that then we are good. Perriman doesn't need to have a monster year to help this offense. All he needs to do is stretch the field and Joe needs to go to him 4-6 times a game to keep defenses honest. That would leave K.Aiken 1vs1 all game every game and I really believe he will push for minutes.
  7. Releasing arrington would save 1.5 mil against the cap this year and 2.7 next year. tho arrington played at a respectable level, that money could be spent elsewhere. And in this case it probably just goes to Wright. J.Smith, S.Wright, are starters day 1. tray walker is a 4th round developmental guy and will davis is also a 3rd rounder in the making. im also assuming we draft someone in the first 3 rounds and he starts at nickle for now. And we bring in a low risk vet through FA as insurance. thats as crowded as it gets when it comes to the CB position. That's why I think Arrington becomes dispinsable.
  8. I hate to agree with you here but I absolutely do. Every day that passes is a day closer to KO signing with someone else. It's unfortunate because we had all year to sign him but waited till last second to do so. Now his agent smells the Benjamin's and he's probably gonna price himself out of Baltimore. it sucks but life goes on. KO was a top teir guard but we could still find an above average guard for a very descent price if KO leaves. I'm just worried that we move Urschel to starter and have no depth when someone goes down. incognito would be a great replacement but I doubt our FO even touches him because of his troubled past. I do see a lot of good enough linemen out there that would help instantly.
  9. If perriman was in this year's draft. He may have gone top 15. I have all the faith in the world that hell be great!
  10. I don't understand what the hold up is. KO is more valuable to the Ravens than any other team out there. His chances of sucess here is higher than any other place making the chances of us honoring his contract higher than anywhere else. Making him the highest paid Guard in football would not be a bad investment especially when we consider his age and that like Yanda he can slide to Tacke if we need him and the drop off is little to none.
  11. Totally agree. I also thought that for the past 3 years and even defended him at times. He continuously let me down. And now if he plays well he's probably gonna test FA next year and we lose him for nothing. im just wondering, does this mean we are in play for Myles Jack with the 6th overall?
  12. I also think it's unfortunate the writer made it seem like Daryl fell off the cliff. He played really bad for the first 8 games where the whole d struggled. Second half of the season, Daryl was top 3 against both the run and pass according to PFF
  13. Oh man this is a tough pill to swallow. Thank you Daryl for 3 great years!! One of the most under rated guys in the NFL. I only hoped that if we were gonna make this move we'd sign his replacement first. I also think he had some value if we shopped him around for a trade. But again, that might seem like a classless move from our FO
  14. You scared me for a min lol. I hope your right and he stays however it happens. Aiken really grew on my last year.
  15. No he wasn't. They both missed 11 fgs in those 3 years and both were perfect in the playoffs. If I'm not mistaken Tucker has a bigger leg and made a few more tackles on special teams. How was gostkowski better? And those were gostkowskis best years of his career. Tucker being 5 or 6 years younger is just a bonus. You can say Tucker had a bad year or even go as far as say he lost it. But you can't deny that he was great.
  16. Well, he's not the best... that much is clear. But he also doesn't have to be the best to get paid the best. Payscale is largely just a reflection of opportunity and timing. It's not clear! It's certainly debatable and your argument is a good one especially after the year Tucker had. What if I told you Tucker was injured all year but didnt wanna attract attention or make excuses. Would that change your mind? If we debated this 6 months ago would you have an case against Tucker especially when you consider his age. Tucker had 3 seasons where he played at an all time great level. It was only this year that he missed quite a few here and there. Thus, making his all time numbers not so great because he's only been a pro for 4 years. His celing is certainly as good as if not higher than gostkowski. I personally don't see him falling outside of the best 5 kickers in the NFL at any given year in the near future. Honestly, a little bit of me was happey that he missed a few because had he not, his agent would be asking for the richest kicker contract ever. Now we have a better chance of keeping Tuck for years to come and I'm beyond satisfied. I also don't remember the last time anyone returned a kickoff against us for a TD. That's mostly because of Tuck.
  17. A price I would gladly pay every year! damn squeezers with their stupid "no parking" colors that theyr so proud of
  18. It would be hillarious if the Browns pull of a "brown" and pass up on the best quarterback in the draft when their biggest need has been QB for 10 years lol. Seriously, how long have they craved for a franchise QB? Now that you have a chance you go and pass it up for a bunch of 50/50 guys that may or may not work. I would die laughing if they trade for a QB and he busts then next year they pull off a manziel or a brady Quinn in the draft.
  19. It would take a 4th to move to like 27-29 from our 36th pick. I think it would be a fantastic move! 1- we move up a few spots to ensure getting a guy we like. 2- all first rounders have a 5th year team option that is so underrated in today's NFL.
  20. Unfortunately you are probably right. This guy is one of the fastest linebackers in the NFL and is a good enough open field tackler. He probably doesn't wanna be here as he cant motivate himself in practice. Either that or he's just too dumb to get an NFL playbook. Im also starting to hear that fat lady sing. If brown plays well then he'll probably break our hearts and leave next year. If he continues to do what he's already done. He'll just hold a roster spot all year and we will be forced to lose someone that may actually help this team. We already have fifty plus players under contract. just trade this guy for a bag of peanuts for all I care! I'm done defending him and dreaming of him starting along with Mosley when D.Smith rides off to the sunset.
  21. I'm also curious, I don't know if bosa would start day 1. But he surely will get a lot of playing time lining up at numerous positions. I think bosa would take the McPhee role lining up all over the place on passing downs. Z.smith would fall behind him on the depth chart. If bosa is there and we get him he'd probably become our Swiss knife. He could line up as a DE on obvious passing downs along with Jernigan and C.davis roaming the interior. Suggs and Doom rushing outside. On obvious rushing downs, he'd set the edge similarly to upshaw and probably would do it better. We could use a rotation of B.Williams, Guy, and C.Davis inside and suggs with bosa outside. Im also a realist in knowing that a few starters will get probably gethurt and that's where bosa really adds value. Our front 7 would be very deep and would have the ability to desquise coverages much better than last year. The D would be fresh all game with a rotation like that
  22. I was never a big fan of bosa being the #1 overall pick and was never a fan of us trading up to get him. So many people around here were praying that he falls to 4th overall where we may even get a chance to trade up. I really don't understand how he fell off the radar so fast. People are calling him a bust already. Sure his combine numbers weren't grear but this is what had to happen for us to even have a chance of getting him. Now that we have a chance everyone is afraid to touch him lol im still not a huge fan of taking bosa 6th overall but the combine had nothin to do with it. It's the fact that he's a DE and fits perfectly in a 4-3 system. In a 3-4 system which the Ravens currently he's too big to play OLB and too small to play DE. But make no mistake. The guy was a great college player and will be a very good pro. I think If the Ravens do take him hell start at DE and bulk up a bit. He'd be a Swiss knife of this D but would be an instant impact player to a 4-3 team.
  23. Good for you Albert. Thank you for being a team first guy and I hope you always get rewarded for your effort. I also hope this is the start of more good news to come. It's time to lock up Flacco, Tucker, KO, and K.Aiken on long term deals.
  24. I gotta give you credit for being honest lol. I kinda agree but realistically speaking, a player that can drastically help both your passing game and running game is a sexy pick. Especially when we can have him for less than half market value for 5 years But I totally get ya. You want fireworks and I can't blame you for it.
  25. Oh man that really brought back some memories! Remember when 3rd and 3 or less was almost guaranteed? Remember when 1st and goal was a scrum on first, second, third, and fourth downs if needed. Oh and if you stop us at your own two yard line then good luck dealing with our D from your own 2.
