  1. I'd like to see less throws on first down because incompletions there mean that we almost have to throw on second and third when opponents are waiting for it. If we do throw, there has to be a high percentage pass every time. We can't continue to put ourselves in these situations. we can't abandon the run because it got a play or two busted. That's normal. Every running game has busted plays and you have to stick with it until it opens up. Dixon is a gem. Let's use him more. lastly, id like to see Flacco make better adjustments on the line and take what the D gives you. Give your WRs a chance to catch short passes and run when opponents blitze. Stop chasing big plays, just execute and big plays will come. And easy on the damn penalties. Some penalties are just part of the game but others are just inexcusable
  2. Well he's kinda right and ur kinda right. Brady and Ben both have much lower cap hits than Flacco thusgiving their teams more flexibility to manuver. on the other hand, your absolutely right. Any descent quarterback makes around 20 mil. So basically it's upto a GM to decide weather he's willing to secure a QB and bargain hunt somewhere else or continue to play moving chairs with a QB every couple of years. I'm glad we chose to stick with a QB because those 10 years without a QB were heartbreaking! The problem I see is that Joe hasn't even played like an average QB this season for various reasons and that's what's killing us. is Flacco overpaid? Yes, but not by much. Maybe 5 or 6 mil. I think that's worth not taking the risk of playing musical chairs. We have a LT that makes 5 mil a year and his market value is 10-12. That's your 6 mil right there so there's no excuses. Now a good GM needs to sit with his coach and find a way to make his 20 mil QB play like it before the playoffs come because it would be a shame wasting this talented squad because our QB can't play at the level he normally plays at.
  3. He's on pace for 450 and 3 TDs while being joes 3rd or 4th option on most plays. I think he's doing well enough. The Odell's of the world are the exceptions to the rule not the norm. Missing the whole offseason and playing for an offense struggling to find consistancy doesn't help but il say it now and wait until it happens. Perriman goes for a thousand yards next season if he stays healthy and continues to develop at this pace.
  4. Not yet bro! He still needs seasoning and that's coming from the guy who's been defending perriman from the minute we drafted him. i would be extreemly dissapointed tho if Flacco doesn't take a few weeks this offseason to work with him, Wallace, and Waller. Gilmore and Pitta are more than welcome to join but they already have a chemistry with Joe.
  5. Way to look at glass half full. I agree with every point you made and also would like to add that I hope pees keeps his foot on the gas like he did against the bengals when they were close and it payed off!
  6. Huff made my day! Heck he made my week. Bravo....
  7. Joe needs to take what the opposing defense gives him plane and simple. Stop forcing the big play. Just execute and the big plays will come. And for gods sake, feed Dixon 20-25 times a game.
  8. That's not too bad. When does it become official and where can I book?
  9. The delay of games penalties I also put on the coach because he can call a timeout to avoid it. That's unacceptable, but Flacco has to also wake up a bit. 5 delay of games and at least 5 timeouts we've already burned to avoid some. Holding penalties are killing us and we need to hold back in the passing game a bit because that's when players usually hold! Just last game, we had two holds on second and 5 or 6. Run the damn ball! You still have third to throw if the run fails and its still a makable third! Prioritize the run and the passing game will eventually get its opportunities! Not the other way around when your Oline is struggling to protect.
  10. I hope you don't get this the wrong way because I really love your passion and preservative on things. But this time It seems like your just debating to debate. Or you really don't see colors when it comes to Flacco. We abandoned the run after our first TD. We continued to throw when the D knew we were gonna throw causing us to ultimately fall behind and have to pass pass pass. I'd pay money to watch the game again with you lol
  11. I absolutely agree with your premise here as we could have risked it and kept some time on the clock instead of killing ourselves slowly. But I absolutely disagree with the latter part of your statement. If I'm not mistaken, our offense has had the third most possessions this year and scored the third least points per drive. We simply lead the league in 3 and outs.
  12. On a scale of 1-10 how sarcastic were you when you wrote this?
  13. Please don't get me started. "Home field advantage" huh. Bunch of shmucks reffing the damn game. What about the tacky PI on the very next drive and then calling Zuttahs hit late when 3 guys were still tackling SSS. I'm not saying the NFL is a joke but what else can I say they are a joke and we knew this would happen! Oh and the ghost holding and the low hit on flaccos legs. But no one saw that. dodnt I ask you not to get me started. Oh man what a heartbreak of a game. But seriously we could have and should have played a lot better than that.
  14. I don't respect wining against a team without their top playmakers but I sure as hell hope Green sits the next game out coz we really need it. Dez destroyed us not just in the stats department. His first 6 catches were 4 third down conversions and 2 TDs on 1vs1.
  15. And patch up receivers and running backs lol.
  16. Flacco taking a pay cut. I highly doubt it... webb and wright are probably gone next year unless they cut like half of their salaries.
  17. Refs surely picked sides on numerous occasions. It sucks. But I can't blame the loss on them as much as ourselves. wright and powers are not even cheap options. They cost like 7-8 million combined! Sure it wouldn't get you a top 10 CB but that should land you a solid solid guy. Jimmy obviously can't stay on the field also we need a solid #2 that can step up vs top WRs when called upon. ugh don't even get me started with the offense! I swear I can write a damn book. Just answer this... Why would a team ignore a running game that got you a lead while your averaging more than 5 yards a carry?
  18. I don't think he had all day to pass as much as he just beat us with his smarts. He regularly changed plays on the line and consistantly took what the D gave him. Always giving his pass catchers a chance. Dak had a tough first half and got lucky with the first TD then made adjustments and attacked our weakness in the second. on the other hand, we had a lead and run game that was working and we just abandoned it to force pass after pass into a secondary that was waiting for it.
  19. I actually think Ray is prity darn good at what he's doing. And remember that it was Ray who called this team Flaccos team and urged the team to rally around him. Someone has to light a fire under Joe and the coaches can't do it at this point in Flaccos career for various reasons. Teammates can try but that could split the locker room. Suggs even tried early in the season but backed off. So why not have Ray light a small fire and let SSS and others rally the team and back their QB. This is exactly what we needed!
  20. Nooo that's not fair to young! dez is a top 5 WR when healthy while young is still a rookie. This could crush his development. I really hope Jimmy plays but if he doesn't then I'd rather have powers, Davis, or wright on dez (with safety help)
  21. Don't feel insulted. It just makes winning taste sweeter!
