  1. we both know that theres like 1% of a chance of that happening. But heck if it does then il be the first to celebrate and give you all the credit in the world. When it comes to Wallace. It would really be dumb to just cut him. Hes coming off a 1K yard season and whatever team gets him only has to pay 5.75 mil of his salary. So if we do part ways with Wallace then trade him dont just cut him.
  2. Torrey is younger, a model citizen, and a guy that i really really loved as a Raven. But Wallace is coming off a 1000 yard season and releasing him to sign Torrey wouldn't free up much cap if any. If this was the jets or browns looking for a WR for the next few years then yes it would probably be Torrey but Wallace has a better chance of getting 1000 yards catching passes from Flacco in 2017
  3. And a bad knee and back. That's the definition of injury prone lol when he wasn't injured this d was top 3 but without him this d is just prity good. That's what really sucks about this situation.
  4. How sweet would it be to have 2 potential 1k yard WRs and a 1st rounder backing them up? I'd be dissapointed if marshal was on the block and Ozzie didn't make a move. No 6th or 7th rounder in the upcoming draft will have a better 2017 than B.Marshall.
  5. If the Ravens can get a top 10 WR in B.Marshall for 7.5mil then it would instantly improve this squad. Even if it's for one year id take a B.Marshall in a heartbeat. I'd even send a 7th to ensure getting him. This should be unanimous if the FO had a vote. the real question is wether or not the jets are willing to part with him.
  6. What a shame these 2 can't stay on the field. I really like both and especially Gilmore he has pro bowl potential but injuries just suck sometimes.
  7. Moving for B Marshall makes a lot of sense. 7.5 million for a top 10 WR is a sweet deal and the FO can work around it. Even if it's for one year. Il gladly give up a 7th or 6th if that's what it takes. Why wait for the jets to cut him and then compete with every other team to sign him? You like him? Go get him!
  8. thats just another reason why it's not fair to compare Tom Brady taking less money to any other QB in the NFL. It's also no secret that some NFL owners pay money to NFL players indirectly through their companies to relief their teams from the salary cap. its against the NFL rules but almost impossible to prove in court. Fortunately or unfortunately for us (depending on how you look at it) Mr Beschotti is one of the classiest owners and rarely if ever played under the belt.
  9. I'd like that approach. Just scares the livin heck out of me to roll the dice at C. Keep zuttah or upgrade would be my approach.
  10. And for the billionth time you can't just pick the one year Brady gets a signing bonus and say that's how much he played for. I know what you mean but you implied something completely different the way you said it.
  11. I'm not sure if hurst will ever be a good enough LT or even RT in the NFL. Hes not strong enough to maul anyone and not fast enough to stay in front of good pass rushers. That's a disaster waiting to happen... I wouldn't mind sliding him inside just to see what we have in him but even then, he'd be on such a short leash that it's not even funny. Jensen and Urschel are guys I like but still havnt proven they can keep Joe upright. we have a solid foundation in Yanda Lewis and Stanley to build around. I just hope we don't throw a bunch of no ones in between them and expect much sucess. We need 3 good linemen if zuttah and Wagner leave and 2 quality backups if they stay.
  12. Let's spice things up a bit more. last year he collected 10 mil in paychecks and 9 mil the year before. And next year he's only gonna get paid 1 million in salary. come on RMC, don't just throw it out there because many out here don't understand that those 28 mil are signing bonuses for the next 3 years. If that's how people compare contracts them Flacco made 48 million playing football for the Ravens this year lol. The most important thing that people need to understand is that Brady makes more endorcement money than any other QB in history and he's married to the highest paid model in history. Comparing Brady's contract to anyone is just insane and senseless. That we should all agree on.
  13. I hate that your probably right on this one. The actions of our FO prove that theyr not completely sold on any of our backs. I personally have fallen in love with Dixons play but if the FO were then he wouldn't be sharing snaps with west. west is a guy that I really tip my hat to. He came in and exceeded all expectations. But it seems like he's maxed out his potential. He may never be an every down back for a SB team. That's not a knock on him but it's just what it is. LT is another guy who keeps improving then gets hurt. buck Allen is.... Well I have no idea why they drafted him in the first place if theyr never gonna use him. what really kills me is that we have 2 3rd rounders and 2 4th rounders fighting for order on a depth chart. That's 4 roster spots right there. Use them or trade them for whatever you can and bring someone in who you will use. Let's stop playing musical chairs at RB for gods sake!
  14. Great points. Only time I see us risking it is with time running out and maybe a 60-65 yarder. Not 75!
  15. Great points. I absolutely agree, just because you have the leg to make it from 75 doent mean you can consistantly make them from that far in a real game. It's just simple math. The longer the field goal the less likely you are to make them and the more likely it is that your opponent scores of you don't. that said, I do feel good when Tucker is tacking 50 yarders because it's not like he's pushing his limits and his accuracy completely falls off. i also do see a few situations where Tucker could actually take a loooooong one. Let's say we just got scored on and we have 14 seconds left till half time. I'd like to see us return it and kick a FG after 1 first down instead of just kneeing every single time. sure Tucker won't get a lot of those opportunities nor will he make very many but I personally believe he is one of the best ever and don't care about his stats anymore. it is assuring to wake up every morning as a Ravens fan knowing that we have the best kicker in the game for at least a few more years lol.
  16. Unfortunately, your absolutely right. To a GM, the colts situation is so desirable. You don't have to worry about finding a quality QB and they have a lot of cap space to make your mark as a GM. I really hope Decosta weighs all his options then decides that working for Bischotti is 100 times better than working for an unpredictable maniac like Irsay.
  17. They are projected to be 40 mil under the cap next year so they're not in a pickle just yet.
  18. Iv been saying this for a few years now that our problem up front isn't the starting five. Our problem is the huge dropoff in talent between starters to the backups. It takes 8 good linemen to finish an NFL season and your often as good as your weakest link. Linemen will eventually get hurt during an NFL season. It's not fair to blame the likes of Ducass, Hurst, and Ried, for their struggles because they are backups of backups for a reason.
  19. I absolutely agree that if we draft a running back early then it would probably force the coaches to run more. But I'm afraid the problem isn't the running back as much as it is scheme, tendency, and an underperforming line. i also agree that fournette is from the same mold that zeek gurley and Gordon were. (If they fall so far then teams have to consider changing their whole draft board) theyr just freaks of nature that any team would love to have for 5 years on a bargain price. i simply don't see cook in the same category unless he runs a 4.35 or something like that in the combine. Id also like to add that we have invested a 3rd and two 4th round picks on RB the past 3 years (I'm not even including pierce). I'd like to see a return in that investment. last but not least, wev also killed10 mil cap between Forsett and rice. in other words, FO have made moves to fix the run but all have failed drastically! Idk who is to blame but if it's not right by midseason then Mr Bischotti needs to intervene and chop some heads off!
  20. That would scare me going into the season. Orr played a vital role last year and we need someone to replicate that or at least come close. Mlb is not a position I'd like to roll the dice with.
  21. It's such a cliche to say people dont appreciate what they have untill it's gone. i feel like I didn't really get the chance to appreciate what what we had in Orr now that he's not playing anymore. He outplayed his contract for sure and exceeded all expectations. That my friends is a winner! i really hope Steve biscotti finds him and a few of his loved ones some really nice jobs where they can contribute and get paid handsomely as a thank you for 3 great years. I know we'll see Orr around. Thank you and best of luck Orr.
  22. I'm not gonna go back and watch film just to break my heart lol. But I do remember KOs first year. He showed flashes of greatness and flashes of a lost rookie. Lewis didn't jump off my screen as often but also made less mistakes. Maybe it's because KO played a lot of LT as a rookie. but we can both agree on this. Lewis far exceeded expectations of a 4th rounder and it seems like the sky is his limit. I look forward to him making another leap in his development and hope he stays a Raven for a long time.
  23. I for one hate how the this season turned out and hate that Flacco had one of his worst years statistically but your absolutely right. There's always a time and place to appreciate the best quarterback in this Franchises history. There's always room to thank Flacco for a marvelous SB run and there's always room for hoping we get those performances again in the near future.
  24. True, it's a team game and it takes a team to win. But even Flacco himself would admit that he didn't help the cause as much as hed like. He had one of his worst years of not his worst. I'm not asking him to put up breese or Rodgers numbers because that's not Flacco. But he does need to come back next year hungrier than ever because he's done a lot more with a lot less. since you used Rodgers as an example.... 2015 was considered Rodgers worst year statisticslly when he had 31 TDs to 8 INTs and a 92 passer rating. He did that without a running game or anything that resembles a defense and his WRs were horrendous when Nelson got hurt. I'm not saying Flacco needs to match those numbers but he's supposed to make the best of what he has because he certainly has the talent to do so and is paid handsomely to do so. Flacco in comparison only beat that passer rating once in 9 years. Yes it's like comparing apples to oranges but one thing is for sure. Flacco is not the only one to blame for this offense stalling but he carries a big share of the responsibility.
  25. As much as I really like Williams and Wagner. I just don't see is offering them much more. I wouldn't mind it if they both get better offers and land us 2 nice comp picks the year after. When it comes to Oline help. I think we need 2 quality vets that are ready to start when called upon regardless. My issue isn't loosing Williams and Wagner. I'd have a bigger problem if we handled the situation the way we handled KO. We offered him 10 mil and then when he signed with someone else we just settled for a mid round pick to replace a pro bowler. Sure Lewis is awesome for what we paid for but he's definitely a step back from KO. if we lose Williams because some other desperate team offers him 12 mil then please spend that 8 mil we saved on someone else in FA. Same goes with Wagner. If he doesn't accept the 6 mil we offer then offer it to someone who will instead of settling for more rookies starting on the OLine.
