  1. 1- Wallace getting cut was never a realistic option. If the Ravens ever wanted to part ways then trading him made a lot more sense than streight up cutting your only 1000 yard receiver. 2- Congrats Stanley, you got 4 more chances to set the record with Harrison. I hope you eat him alive before he retires. 3- zach Orr:- no the honor and pleasure was ours to watch you blossom into a pro bowl callibar player. thank you for being such a classy guy and good luck 4- Oher Concussion sucks! Wish him nothing but the best. Maybe it's time to seriously think about your future as you've already made a nice amount and succeeded at the highest level
  2. I want him to say "we are not going to ask Joe to do too much" instead lets ask him to do just enough to Win games! lets not gameplan to throw our way out of trouble and instead do so when the game dictates it. i read somewhere that Joe Flacco is like garlic. 1 spoon makes any dish better but 5 spoons and you just ruined your dish. Flacco should never be in a situation where he throws the ball more than Breez Rodgers Brady and Ryan in any season! o want harbs to say something like I promise the run game will improve and this Flacco will look like a top 10 QB. Iv been a Harbough supporter since day 1 and will always be but for gods sake stop feeding us is this nonsense Harbs! Just a lil bit of what I'd like to hear lol
  3. It's a shame Levine never got enough chances at ILB. simply put. Levine is a great guy that I'd love to have back but if keeping him means we can't get someone else that can potentially start then bring someone who will
  4. Come on BWILl! Stop playing hard to get and just sign the damn contract!
  5. I also agree. Wouldn't mind rolling the dice with Lewis at RT if Wagner turns the Ravens offer down. But I hope they take that same offer and offer it to the next best lineman in FA. Maybe Mangold and slide zuttah to G. This team needs more quality linemen.
  6. I agree, he does indeed have the potential to be a multiple time pro bowler. But Gurley, Gordon, and Zeek werent just potentially great. The expectation was Franchise changing (similar to Jamal Lewis). Like if this guy falls to you then you change your plans. I'm not sure if Cook is of that mold where we just change our plans and be thankful he fell to us. Also keep in mind this years class of FA running backs. I don't remember a FA class littered with former or potential pro bowlers. A.Peterson, J.Charles, L.Blount, L.Murray, E.Lacy and a few other really good guys worth looking at.
  7. I made the same argument last year with zeek and the year before with gurley and Gordon as those players are worth a team changing its offseason direction because they instantly demand a stacked box. I agree that Founette is of that mold if he drops but I'm not sure if Cook is in the same class as the other 4 mentioned.
  8. Another extreemly underrated guy on this team. Guy only beat out two 3rd rounders a 4th rounder and a 5th rounder for playing time. And he playing great. I also hope he stays but won't have any hard feelings if he followed the money in FA. Thank your for a few great under the radar years.
  9. Thank you! Zuttah had his share of bad plays but we really struggled when our backups were in. Jensen started 3 games Ducass started 8 and urschel started 3 and all finished some other games when lonemen got hurt. There's an obvious dropoff in talent and that's where we need to upgrade. If we lose zuttah and Wagner we need 2 starters and someone to back the starters up when they are hurt. Jensen and Urschel are not pulling it. Ducass is good to be the 7th best option at best.
  10. I absolutely agree that our system is screwed up to say the least. But still, rules are rules. And when you decide to break them then do so at your own risk. And if you ever do decide to break the rules then at least be descreet about it. What elam did is the equivalent of someone that drives to an underground brothel and picks up 4 girls. Then decides to withdraw 4 thousand dollars to pay them. When he's stopped by police, he has money, 4 girls that he doesn't know the name of etc... your analogy is like saying "but prostitution is legal in some other countries and cities. And heck the girl wasn't forced so its not like rape or something"
  11. It was 126 grams the article said more than 20 but didn't disclose the actual amount. Yes that would roll. Idk 300-400 joints and thus the whole party can smoke! I agree 100 percent that getting high is not like rape or murder. I'm pissed off at Elam because he couldn't just have an occasional joint or fail a drug test like everyone else. He had to drive around with that much Marjuana and he should go to prison just for being that stupid! In court that's called intent to sell. And then he had other drugs to add to insult. I just hope he didn't have cash with him coz that would just put him in a pickle!
  12. I may be on the outside but I absolutely do. If your at home and have an occasional lapse of judgement that's one thing. To go driving around with enough Marjuana to supply the whole club is another thing. And that's me giving him the benignity of doubt. its like two 16 year olds having unprotected sex vs a20yo and a 22 yo vs a 30 yo having an affair with a 16 year old. Yeah they all fall under the same law but one is forgivable and the other is a much deeper problem. I regularly say this at work with people when they screw up. I can deal with a smart person that makes an honest mistake because heck we all do. I refuse to deal with an ideot because the minute we deal with one problem he finds himself in another stupid problem then another and he/she then ultimately call themselves "unlucky people" or bad luck magnets. No your just dumb to regularly put yourself in bad situations. in other words, I can find some sympathy for someone who gets caught driving drunk the first time. Il try to convince myself that it was a lapse of judgement and thank god no one got hurt as long as he makes an effort to not do it again. but I can never forgive someone who drives city to city with a 12 pack of beer in the car. It's like "so you planned to drive intoxicated at high speeds for prolonged periods of time"!! That person should go to jail head first because he's so much more likely to screw up more in the near future.
  13. Really?! Driving around with 126 grams of Marjuana? That's just dumb man! Why the hell are you driving around with that mutch anyways?!!! if your stupid enough and rich enough to buy 126 grams of Marjuana then you sure as heck can afford to get it delivered to your destination! you deserve to spend time just for acting so damn dumb. I'm done defending anything Elam ever does. And whatever it is, I hope he does it away from the Ravens organization.
  14. I feel like the NFL had right intentions in trying to protect players but took it a bit too far. no one can hit the QB under the knee. Perfect. No one can ever helmet to helmet a QB. Perfect! If the QB holds on to the ball till the last second you can't even touch him, pathetic! They're just taking it a bit too far. Qbs are supposed to throw a second too early and their supposed to get shoved at least when they hold on till the last second. the defenseless receiver is also a great rule in theory but it's been taken way too far. WRs duck into DBs all the time and helmet to helmet is called. Or a QB just throws his receiver into trouble and almost automatically called as a defenseless receiver. im all about players safety and agree with 95 percent of those rules but we have to go back and fix some of the wrongs. and can someone spend a couple of million and research then develop a damn helmet that really prevents concussions instead of encouraging collision?
  15. Wow! 1- I'm glad we finally get something in return for losing KO and hope we use that pick wisely. 2- I can't believe the NFL gave out 11! 3rd round comp picks. Usually the NFL Capps it at 4 or 5. 3- this ultimately means our FO can get two third round comp picks next year if we lose Williams and Wagner which could change everything
  16. Idk but I think he means that he'd be dissapointed if the draft forced us to take someone other than those 2 positions. I'm also hoping beyond hope that a top ten CB or Pass rusher falls to us because those are the 2 positions that we can't really upgrade in FA without breaking the bank. like when CJ fell to us. Obvious top ten talent. I hope it's a CB that falls. But if it's another CJ then we have to take him! and dear lord. I really hope we don't take a TE with our first pick no matter how good he is lol
  17. I absolutely feel you as you make a lot of valid points. Except I feel like a lot of what you said is a bit exaggerated. 1- yes we are loaded at TE but Pitta is still the best pass catcher on this squad and everyone else is a downgrade or close to the same production at the moment. Otherwise they would have started last season. 2- if your getting rid of pitta then you might as well just let go of both and use The additions 3mil in savings. 3- I have often argued that pitta doesn't get YAC because the passes thrown his way are usually in traffic or he often has to dive to get them. 5- Well that's a whole other problem. If Flacco keeps staring down his goto guy then he'll stare down the next security blanket. That problem is not solved by releasing his goto guy. He'll just find another one. 9- yes, pitta is worth some value so trading him should be the route we take rather than just flat out cutting him. I also don't see how you made all these arguments against him then slapped a 4th on him lol. I think realistically his value is no more than Thomas who was traded for a 6th if I'm not mistaken.
  18. One also must be fair to Torrey. If R.Moss player for SF the past 2 years he wouldn't look so good either lol. His skill set is the complete opposite to the Qbs they have there. When Torrey was in Baltimore, he separated from Dbs better than anyone. Flacco literally threw it up his way whenever the pocket collapsed. 1- less sacks 2- some were complete 3- others were PI calls that were as good as completions. heck even interceptions thrown deep to Torrey usually didn't hurt us as it would net just as much yards as a punt would. i find it unfortunate that some Ravens fans around here blame Torrey for "one play" that's not even all his fault and forget about the 25-30 first downs he got us every year that we had no business making either via great catch or PI witch he lead twice in his 4 years here. Last but not least, Torrey got paid at a time when the Ravens were really cap strapped. If that scenario happened this year, the Ravens would have gladly payed him that 6 mil per year. It was just wrong time wrong place.
  19. Well said. I agree 100 percent Wallace and pitta must stay and probably redo their contracts to free up idk 3-4 mil in 2017. I have Doom, Webb, and zuttah in the same boat. If we land a marque FA in their position then theyr gone. If we draft someone to take over then they stay untill that someone beats them out. Worst case scenario is they stay, free up another 3-4 mil, and we revisit this scenario again next year. Watson, wright, Arrington, and Lewis are gone freeing up 10mil in cap. thats 25mil plus whatever we save 6-8 by redoing some contracts. let the games begin!
  20. Thank you
  21. Most years a 11 mil NT and a 8mil RT would land you at least a 3rd and a 4th round comp. Probably not this year tho because of the number of drafted players in that 2012 draft potentially jumping ship. Comp picks formula depends on a number of things and for starters, I see a few other players that could surpass Williams and Wagners contracts thus droping us to a 4th and 5th round comp picks. (Collins, Cyprien, Jeffry, and a few others)
  22. Cyprien is a guy I really liked coming out of college. The knock on him back then was if he was fast enough transitioning to the NFL level. Well he proved that to be wrong as he's much faster in game speed than his 40 time. He would be a great compliment to weddle but i don't know if his price is doable. I would be hesitant to just let go of Webb but if Cyprien is the reason then it's good enough for me
  23. I was hoping the Ravens give SSS a call around the bye week and try to convince him to have one last run. Learning he's tuning down workouts is killing my dream lol If you ever see this SSS get off your butt and be ready coz teams will come calling late in the season! Ditch them and come back to Bmore
  24. No! I refuse to even think that Flacco would have another season like last season. Flacco may never be a top 5 QB but he was regularly top 10-15 and caught fire in the playoffs. theres no way Flacco has another down year like last. He'll show up and his value will seem just fine.
  25. That 9 was too much but mostly it was because of the restructure a year prior, il gladly take him if he takes a paycut and add a year. 5.5 mil seems fair.
