  1. I hate to sound mean or nasty but this is just horrible! Not everything can be measured by numbers, statistics, and analytics! We are probably the most loyal Ravens fans in the world. You can't measure loyalty! The world is changing but yet we are still here so as a reward, the decision makers are saying "heck there's not enough of you left so let's kill this" i personally read every word on the news and Ravens talk boards! Every one! And I didn't even do that studying for finals in University. Heck, I buy a jersey just about every year so why don't you make one with 00 and name it Flock! Il buy it and so will so many others. Use that money to keep this running. I'd rather wear that on my back than a player that's probably gone in a few years to all the moderators and admins. Seriously, thank you for putting up with us for years. I love and appreciate you guys. I'm just pissed off at the one decision maker that made this decision without any input from us stakeholders. That's so Un-Raven
  2. I'm so sorry bro I thought that was a given. Judon is our current McPhee. He'll play OLB and DE here and there. He'll be a great player for another 3 years then probably land us a comp. I really like this kid
  3. Don't hold this against me if I'm wrong because Iv never encountered such a weird situation and contract. Sorry it's gonna be a long one.... 1- I have never seen a superstar fall off a cliff so fast in my life. Like he didn't decline, he just nose dived! Part of that is his desire to play for the sorry jets, part of it is his injury ( revis was arguably the best bump CB in history and you can't do that with a busted wrist) And finally Father Time took its toll on him in those 2 years so no one really knows how much he has left in the tank. Are we ever going to see revis island again, probably not. Is he worse than 64 starting NFL CBs, I doubt it. 2- his contract is so weird. The Jets are on the hook for the first 6 or 8 million of his contract. So basically if a team signs him for the minimum, the Jets pay the rest. If a team signs him for 10 mil, the jets pay 6 of that. Here's the catch. If revis stays at home or retires that money is gone. Thus, I find it hard to believe that he's just gonna throw away 6 million dollars. 3- Then there is his arrest. If that isn't resolved then no one is touching him with a wooden stick. If he does resolve that then you will see teams showing interest. The risk is literally zero to sign him and the jets are forced to pay the difference. Last but not least, I want to see how much pride Revis still has. Last year, he wasn't just bad. He was literally getting picked on by young cats. The NFL literally had to intervene to prevent him from getting insulted publicly. If revis feels that he can't recover from that then he should just retire. Don't even think of that 6 mil because all the money in the world can't buy your reputation back. On the other hand, if revis can be 70 or 80 percent of what he was. I can see him helping a team. Let's say he goes to the patriots for the minimum. The jets pay him 5 mil and Gilmore plays agains the best WR every week. That leaves Revis against #2 WRs on a week to week basis. I think he can pull that off and retire on a good note. O certainly hope he doesn't if that's how he does it lol
  4. Well it depends on what you consider "long term". The NFL is a win now league. So basically no one really thinks 6 or 7 years down the road unless your talking QB. Here's how I look at it. If you draft someone then there's absolutely no guarantee that the player stays on your team after the rookie deal(4 years). Even if you do keep the player, your paying market value and that's like signing the best FA in that position. So I'd say a 3 or 4 year starter is long term. In Connor Barwin case, he's 30 and in Pass Rusher years he still has gas in the tank. now Barwin or not the Ravens should take a pass rusher with one of the first 2 picks regardless. With that being said, there's no guarantee that pass rusher is a 3 down NFL ready pass rusher day one. (Those guys will probably be gone in the top 10) so ideally we'd have Barwin and Suggs starting 2017 and a rookie playing in situations where he excels untill he is 100% NFL ready. Next year, Suggs (35) can play in specific situations and Barwin would start with that rookie. i really think Barwin is a perfect fit! He's the perfect guy as we transition to the next generation of pass rushers without real downtime
  5. I still cringe every time I see this headline. It's so unfortunate but understandable. I wish nothing but the nest for Webb. And heck if he can't find value in FA then I'd gladly welcome him back
  6. I'd actually like that very much. If we take a flyer on a first round talent in the third round then it's so worth it. Heck let him sit a year. Besides, we have another 3rd round pick this year. Hope your right on this one
  7. If he falls to the second and we do land him then it would be great news but that's a big if and a lot of luck is involved so don't coins on it lol. until that happens, any player projected to go in the top 20 getting hurt or off field trouble is bad news.it simply decreases the possibility of a top 10 talent falling to the Ravens at 16
  8. As you mentioned, Bwill and Juice were not drafted with any expectation to start. They both had some development to do but after that they did great. it sure sucks that Elam and Brown just busted like they did but it's not fair to call that class a complete bust because of it. Look at it this way. If Bwill Wagner and Juice were drafted 1,2,3 then would we still be debating this? 3 pro bowlers in 1 class is considered a sucess. basically what I'm trying to say is.... Our FO should be blamed for missing on the first two but also should be given credit for the later rounds as they killed it! So calling the draft a bust is a reach in my opinion
  9. It's simple, they find a way to keep Jernigan too. Williams doesn't play on most third downs.... Yeah his presence forces 3rd and longs and more 3 and outs than anyone! People please, BWill is one of best NTs in football. He's definitely worth at least 10 mil a year. If your ever gonna overpay by a mil or 2, it's to keep a player like that. Mosley, Stanley, and maybe even jernigan are players you find a way to keep in their prime.
  10. I honestly don't know why people are giving you flack for your previous post. I thought your concerns were valid and the way you said it was hillarious. Cheers bro. And have faith. This team is pritty damn good but they need to play better together.
  11. Looool I had to read that 3 times and I'm still not sure I understand it all. Il attempt to reply so here goes... We're in win now mode because Jefferson is the only FA we got the past few years that's actually younger than 29. We're in win now mode because wev dipped into upcoming years cap to spend now. We're in win now mode because we're changing staff members but not the philosophy. It it was rebuild mode we would change our style of blocking or passing or defense. Instead we are trying to tweak vs blowing it all up. wheather or not I believe this team has what it takes to go all the way is a different discussion. Whats becoming increasingly obvious is that our FO believes that this team can. This they are trying to win with this team. The day they believe this team can't go all the way then they will blow it up. Trade a few guys for picks and swallow a whole lot of dead cap for a year then have about 50mil to work with the next year.
  12. Our FO proved that we are in win now mode last off season and this off season theyr leaving no doubt
  13. Webb is one of the easiest guys to love as a fan! I'm so heartbroken but I absolutely understand the move. if he comes back then I'd be the first to celebrate. If not then il thank him for 8 awesome years. Effort was never Webbs downfall and he was never a negative distraction. Thank you thank you thank you Webby!!
  14. One of my fav Ravens once upon a time. Thank you for great years at Baltimore and good luck. Keep the FA signings going OZ!
  15. Not a huge fan of mallet but 1 year 2 mil is a sweet deal for the Ravens. Looking around at how much backup Qbs are being paid, I think mallet is taking a paycut to stay in Baltimore and I am tgankful for that. if Flacco (knock on wood) tears an ACL then the season is just about over regardless of who the backup is. But if he gets banged up for a few games, mallet can hold the fort till Flacco is back.
  16. I'm also very excited to see this revamped D next year. I also really like Zack brown but don't think it's the best fit. We need a ILB that is better than Mosley at coverage so Mosley can stay close to the line where he's at his best and his partner can drop more. That's what made Orr a perfect fit.
  17. Connor Barwin is still out there! He's a perfect fit!
  18. I agree 100 percent. Guy has done nothing but outplay every contract we handed him. It would be a shame if he gets overlooked and lands with the pats on a team friendly deal
  19. I agree, clayborn would be a great signing. Would open up all our options in the draft. I hope this goes through ASAP
  20. You def got that right! Wev invested two 3rd round picks and a 4th on running backs while our past 3 starters are guys we picked up in FA i looked over the list of starting RBs taken in the 3rd round and beyond over that span and here's some of them. Ajayi, Freeman(ATL), David Johnson, Jordan Howard, Dwayne Washington, Lankford, duke Johnson, Mckinon it kills me that we can't get this right and have to revisit this every offseason instead of investing our limited cap space elsewhere
  21. I for one wasn't lol. Iv been saying all year that Williams is the kind of player that you make sacrifices for. I have to admit tho. I didn't expect anything over 10 mil per year. Man other great signing for the Ravens! No one can run against us. Now we need 1 pass rusher and a #2 CB in case Jimmy gets hurt. Tavon sliding to Nickle is just icing on the cake.
  22. That film is impressive to say the least. I went back and watched 4 cardinals games against good QBs last year. This guy literally plays like an undersized LB close to the line and his cover skills are not bad at all! He can man up with most TEs if needed. i wouldn't be surprised if he plays ILB on third and long. He can literally line up anywhere pre snap and mark just about anyone other than #1 WRs. organized chaos....?
  23. Don't get me wrong, I love the move and love the player! I just feel like 9 mil is a bit too much in comparison to weddle who's averaging 6.5 per year and Jefferson was expected to get around 7 mil per year in FA
  24. The only thing I hate more than a cheater is a dumb one that gets caught! I don't support or respect juicing for various reasons but I do understand why NFL players do it. If your gonna juice, can you go to a damn clinic and have a Dr controll it for you. If your gonna put stuff in your body then put the stuff that evens out to pass a damn blood test!
