  1. Amen to a running game! Thank you! Howard is a freak of nature and will be a start in this league. I'm probably Higher on him than you are. I see him as a top 10 talent. Yes a TE in the top 10. I just don't see the FO letting go of pitta after redoing his contract. Neither can I see them giving up on Williams or Gilmore just yet. If he somehow falls to us then Ozzies phone wil be ringing with trade offers
  2. I absolutely agree there's still a lot of offseason left and so far Ozzie has been killing it! I disagree tho on the Trestman part. We all knew exactly what he was or wasn't coming from Chicago! We knew how stubborn he was and still kept him for 20 games when he showed no intentions of playing to the teams strength. He single handedly ruined a formula that was working and contaminated so many in the building as he left. Thus, the door knocked him all the way to Canada on his way out.
  3. I think it's valid to be concerned when you lose your best WR and two starting linemen but I'm still optimistic that we'll have a better season. 1- Flacco had a horrible season! Blame the scheme, play calling, Oline, his knee, or any combination that caused efficiency to drop. But that really was as bad as it gets. I'm not expecting him to be a top 5 QB but i have a hard time believing he can't play better than 15 or 20 QBs at worst. That's all we need and everything else is a bonus. 2- Oline was a mess last year. Injuries played a part but that wasn't it. No one was on the same page! Worst case scenario, we add a 3rd rounder and 5th rounder and force them to start between Yanda Lewis and Stanley. Add a FA on the cheap later on to push the rooks for playing time. That's worst case scenario and I still belive that line shouldn't be anything less than top 10. 3- We did lose SSS but I'm confident that perriman will build on his strong finish to last season and Wallace really had a good year just got less targets as there weren't enough balls to go around when SSS came back. Gilmore and Williams also mean Pitta can play more as a slot rather than attempt to block someon. I would like to add another diverse pass catcher (any redzone threat) but I'm not as concerned as many are. I believe on offense we just need to be a bit more efficient. on D, this team already is a better than the one that finished the year. Keep in mind it was too 5 before Jimmy went down. Sucks loosing Orr but I suppose it's not that hard to play besides Mosley, behind Bwill, with Weddle and Jefferson protecting ur back. If my math is correct, we still have 12-15 mil to spend in FA and I hope Ozzie won't be shy to spend it. Then a Draft to look forward to.
  4. I'm sorry but that's hillarious! We moved up 12 spots in the 6th round. Really?... Just let the guy walk allowing him to chose his destination if that's all we get in return. Am I missing something?
  5. If that was your point then touché. It is sadly hillarious to expect much from someone who the bucs didn't even see that much value in. I guess we were that desperate after Gino almost got Joe killed
  6. Wow! I can't believe all the hate being directed towards Zuttah.... sure i also desired a little more out of the C position last year but to call zuttah a bust or horrible is so uncalled for. The guy was the 14th highest paid C in football and played through various injuries and various OLine combinations. tell me 15 better centers and il concede that Zuttah was as horrible as advertised. Hoping for an upgrade is one thing but hating on a guy that was a huge upgrade from Gradkowski is unfair in my eyes. When was the last time Flacco fumbled?.... We literally didn't hear of Zuttah for 2 years at one time because he was pritty damn good. do I believe Zuttah declined a bit. Yes, but please don't call him a failure when he just came back from a pro bowl. He was payed average money and played above average for his total duration. Now it's time to move on and hope for better. Just don't go out on a limb and start character ads assasining Zuttah to prove a point. well know more details later but I think something is being kept from us...
  7. Your already been missed Orr. You certainly earned every penny
  8. You better not be messing with me đŸ˜¡đŸ˜¡
  9. I'm a huge fan of McCaffery myself but did you just say he's hands down better than Edlman? no rookie is hands down better than a proven thousand yard receiver before they play an NFL snap
  10. Tampa didn't release him. We traded for him lol
  11. This move doesn't really free up a lot of cap so I'm a bit surprised that it happened this year instead of next year. I hoped we'd sign someone like Mangold and make zuttah the first guy off the bench in case of serious injuries. The way I look at it is that we have 3 good starters in Lewis, Stanley, and Yanda. We have 2 descent backups in Urschel and Jensen. We need 2 more starters and 1 backup (preferably better than Jensen an Urschel) because we all know what happened the last two years when both started together. chop chop Ozzie. You promised an improved line!
  12. Indeed that would be a nasty D!
  13. Great post. That really got me thinking.... zach brown is still out there?! What wrong with the bills lol. id actually like that approach very much. When the NFL disrespects MLBs Ozzie finds value. Not sure about Barnett after he ran a 4.88 40 but still wouldn't mind taking the best CB.
  14. That was a huge blow indeed. Just when I though we were set at ILB for years, poor Orr goes down. Il throw you a curve ball.... Theres this kid from Alabama called Ruben Foster that was considered the best linebacker in the nation pre combine. none of the mocks had him falling past 15. Then this kid got into an argument at a hospital and sent home before the combine. Soooo..... Ozzie has enough connections at Alabama to know if this was a one time thing or if this guy is a nut. Well he's certainly a headless chicken on the field and would solve or ILB search for years if we land him. If Ozzie thinks he's worth keeping on our board then I would not be surprised at all if Ozzie takes him. Just his play on the field makes him a top 5 talent. Remember how Mosley just came in and balled. I'd argue this guy may be even better than Mosley was coming out of college.
  15. I get your concern but I think theyr a bit over blown. Bwill is on a 10.5 mil a year deal. That's fair when you compare it to Suh who makes 20 and that contract was signed 2 years ago. Jefferson is making 8.5 mil a year and turned down 1.5 mil more from other teams (top CB money is double that). Theyr good deals, especially when you consider that we can easily get out of them in 2-3 years the way theyr structured. Also, we have about 40 mil to spend next year before we make moves to free up more cap. Relax, the salary cap pickle is over.
  16. Wow! This discussion got heated up fast! I would welcome Boldin back if he accepts the same money that we offered to hurst, camp, and Jensen. That said, I would welcome him more because of my love for his game than anything else. At this point in his career, he won't offer much more than a redzone target (yes he's better than anyone we have in the redzone) and a mentor to Perriman. arguing that Boldin will win us another super bowl is 4 years too late but I still love Q and think he has something to offer if he does end up in Baltimore. I have to admit tho, I expected more than just a 3rd WR in FA. I was hoping for someone like a B.Marshall or Garçon but those ships have sailed. On another note, retracting the tenders on Huff and Roll makes a lot more sense than spending 3.4 million on backups of backups. If we land Clayborn and Webb then we start the season with arguably the best secondary in the NFL
  17. Congrats Bwill! Just don't eat the whole thing by yourself lol
  18. Great idea actually. If you start a thread and name it something like "How can we stop the Board from closing down" Give us the instructions and il personally send an email. Il post it on the reply section right after I'm done. If enough of us do so then you may be right. Your simple reply here won't reach enough people or call for enough action
  19. I respect your opinion and I really hope your right. Judon did show flashes of being great but kind of faded as the year went on. For that reason, I wouldn't hand him the reigns just yet but I'd gladly admit that I was wrong if he gets 10 sacks and earns a starting role.
  20. I think you completely missed my point here lol im commending him for already proving 31 teams wrong and now it's time he channels that hunger into winning a SB and maybe perhaps contaminating everyone around him. im not sure if I deserve you telling off like "shame on you" but heck I love the passion it came from and that passion is indeed contagious! keep bleeding purple brother! Liked...
  21. Please don't. Why would you still be haunted by that draft when you are currently the highest rated and paid SS free agent in the NFL. You already proved everyone wrong. Now it's time to get hungry for a championship
  22. Thanks for clearing that up Either way, I don't think any GM is stupid enough to offer him more than 6 mil at this point lol
  23. I hate to sound mean or nasty but this is just horrible! Not everything can be measured by numbers, statistics, and analytics! We are probably the most loyal Ravens fans in the world. You can't measure loyalty! The world is changing but yet we are still here so as a reward, the decision makers are saying "heck there's not enough of you left so let's kill this" i personally read every word on the news and Ravens talk boards! Every one! And I didn't even do that studying for finals in University. Heck, I buy a jersey just about every year so why don't you make one with 00 and name it Flock! Il buy it and so will so many others. Use that money to keep this running. I'd rather wear that on my back than a player that's probably gone in a few years to all the moderators and admins. Seriously, thank you for putting up with us for years. I love and appreciate you guys. I'm just pissed off at the one decision maker that made this decision without any input from us stakeholders. That's so Un-Raven
  24. I'm so sorry bro I thought that was a given. Judon is our current McPhee. He'll play OLB and DE here and there. He'll be a great player for another 3 years then probably land us a comp. I really like this kid
  25. Don't hold this against me if I'm wrong because Iv never encountered such a weird situation and contract. Sorry it's gonna be a long one.... 1- I have never seen a superstar fall off a cliff so fast in my life. Like he didn't decline, he just nose dived! Part of that is his desire to play for the sorry jets, part of it is his injury ( revis was arguably the best bump CB in history and you can't do that with a busted wrist) And finally Father Time took its toll on him in those 2 years so no one really knows how much he has left in the tank. Are we ever going to see revis island again, probably not. Is he worse than 64 starting NFL CBs, I doubt it. 2- his contract is so weird. The Jets are on the hook for the first 6 or 8 million of his contract. So basically if a team signs him for the minimum, the Jets pay the rest. If a team signs him for 10 mil, the jets pay 6 of that. Here's the catch. If revis stays at home or retires that money is gone. Thus, I find it hard to believe that he's just gonna throw away 6 million dollars. 3- Then there is his arrest. If that isn't resolved then no one is touching him with a wooden stick. If he does resolve that then you will see teams showing interest. The risk is literally zero to sign him and the jets are forced to pay the difference. Last but not least, I want to see how much pride Revis still has. Last year, he wasn't just bad. He was literally getting picked on by young cats. The NFL literally had to intervene to prevent him from getting insulted publicly. If revis feels that he can't recover from that then he should just retire. Don't even think of that 6 mil because all the money in the world can't buy your reputation back. On the other hand, if revis can be 70 or 80 percent of what he was. I can see him helping a team. Let's say he goes to the patriots for the minimum. The jets pay him 5 mil and Gilmore plays agains the best WR every week. That leaves Revis against #2 WRs on a week to week basis. I think he can pull that off and retire on a good note. O certainly hope he doesn't if that's how he does it lol
