  1. hes definaty here to mentor Tim Willams along with a few more young guns. Great hire. Best of luck Jameel
  2. Imagine if hooker fell to 16. I'd bet everything I own that we would have moved back lol
  3. Loooooool ok il stop
  4. Reddick also makes sense. Yeah i think it's just speculation. Had a WR fallen past ten then this would be a real discussion lol
  5. First of all great insightful post, I'm not worried about Tim stopping the run. He won't need to play first downs and short yardage situations. I'd rather have him work on perfecting his craft than worry about the run and potentially losing some of his burst. This team is loaded with great run stoppers so we can afford to scheme around one pure pass rusher. Heck it's actually gonna be fun for Pees. What really worries me is what made him fall from a top15 talent to the third round. failing drug tests.... Rookies in the NFL are treated like players that have already failed a test. So basically he's subjected to a random test any given week. So he better stay off the damn weeeeeeeed 2018 if he passes his test then he can smoke all the weed he wants. Just not this year. Please Timmy please stay off the damn weed for a year!
  6. Omg. This again? TOP is not a great indicator of anything!!! It's such a misleading statistic if your trying to reach any conclusion with that stat alone. I don't remember what game last year that we led TOP and punted the ball 7 times. 7!!! there was another game where we led in TOP but averaged 2:30 per possession. That's horrendous! dont fall in love with the paper. What obvious is that our offense needs to work on sustaining drives. So many of our games last year should have been blowouts because our defense forced more punts than anyone. Our defense better finish games. Sure they're not gonna finish them all but il take half. Pees needs to stop with the vanilla last 5 min defense and there's no excuses this time. You have the quality and the depth.
  7. I dont see Williams playing any first downs and most second downs. He's a pass rush specialist. Il gladly have him fresh and play 40-60 percent of snaps. All he needs to think about is getting to the QB. That was Dooms primary role when he led the NFL in sacks. suggs obviously is still the best OLB on this squad but the depth we have allows us to rest him ensuring he's 100 percent in the 4th. I don't want Suggs playing more than 60 percent of snaps either. It's a marathon not a sprint. That leaves Bowser and Judon killing each other for the remaining snaps. all 4 will get a close to staring role but not quite. Then come playoffs 3 will get the majority of snaps. imagine all 4 on the field on let's say 3rd and 12. Suggs and Williams outside. Bowser playing ILB with Mosley and Judon playing DE. I promise you 1 or the 4 will get to the QB in 3 seconds or less lol bring back some organized chaos Pees!!! You certainly have the talent
  8. Great post. None of them were considered Julio but Davis and Williams had the potential of being an AJ Green. For one of hem to fall to 16 then we'd get great value but to reach that far is crazy. Especially when you have to give up so much for a guy that's not necesarrily guaranteed NFL sucess. had we passed on one at 16 then yes j also would have thrown a tantrum. But I seriously don't understand why people are even complaining. You take what the draft gives you and I think we did well with our first pick.
  9. No it wasn't. Our FO didn't even make calls to move up inside 10. Ozzie clearly said that they tried mooving up in the "teens" so it was probably for barnett
  10. He's not complete yet. He's a bit small to consistantly set the edge but all indications are that he would be great at it if he adds some weight. He's not a complete OLB yet but he would have gone too 10 lol i love this pick because when you look at him as a prospect, he checks all the hard un teachable stuff and lacks the easy things like setting the edge and and perhaps a spin move.
  11. His upside is just insane! His fluid hips are something you can't teach and just by looking at his body, he's a workout warrior. Yes he's not going to average 10 sacks a year but he certainly has the versatility to ultimately become one of the best SAM backers in the NFL. I'm hoping that Suggs adopts him and teaches him everything. He could be Suggs 2.0 with some work on technique and some weight.
  12. What do you think it would it take to get Lee? I'd be very intrigued, I liked this guy all the way back to his college days
  13. Good luck Justin. We will never forget
  14. You know spotrac and over the cap are not always accurate right? They both had us above 10 mil before the draft and they don't get it right untill the PA releases official numbers. back to the rule of 51, so if you release Areington and sign anyone alse for a million. Wouldn't you save a million in cap? Whoever it is that's 52 on that list goes back to 52 when you use that cap space lol so basically if you free up 2 mil then you actually have 2 mil more to spend and no it's not that uncommon to cut guys you just tendered. We just did that with a guy and would do it again if let's say mangold is signed 1.7 mil for proven backups is a steep price to pay. It's basically insurance i honestly think Ozzie is not done with making moves. This offseason hasn't been like the past few and if we keep this momentum rolling then we can seriously compete lasr but not least, I would hope Arrington clears wavers ASAP coz that would be such a waste. And Watson if I'm not mistaken is almost cleared
  15. Really, we're doing this again? I don't have a source, I called Ozzie myself lol and as far as I know, none of the rookies have been signed so your source is basically guessing if we're gonna play that game. Point is we have cap space to sign 2 or maybe even 3 players. Hurst and Jensen can be let go of for another 3.2 million. Watson frees up 3 and Arrington frees up 2 that's 8 mil more than what we already have if the right players come along.
