  1. After what Ozzie said himself about recent draft efforts, I would hope for and expect a real splash pick in the form of the best player available. I hope Bosa, Elliot and a QB all go in the picks before ours, ensuring Jack and or Buckner are available at this pick. Sounds as though there is little chance Ramsey makes it to 6.
  2. Who am I to question the great man!
  3. Sorry, that was dreadful. Lol
  4. Idiotic logic. Teams who win Playoff games will face the same lay off, with all but 2-3 weeks difference. On your logic, no team has any reason to enter next season with confidence due to time between games. Utter rubbish, players say all the time that it matters. Whether or not you miss the Playoffs, or lose in the Playoffs, there are always positives you can take away. And I dare say "more than half" those guys will be, what sort of wild overhaul are you expecting? It's not likely or even possible (or logical), in any sense.
  5. No attempt to a-pees the fans, clearly.
  6. Players don't forget good performances quickly. Especially in a season marred with disappointments.
  7. Lol, his comment just sounded ignorant.
  8. Interesting. I would really like to start adding continual depth to the position. One area Pittsburgh has really done well at is drafting wide receivers in recent years. Wallace goes, Sanders steps up. Brown steps up, they can afford to let Sanders go. Now they have Bryant, Wheaton and drafted Coates last year to start developing him. Side note, hopefully Perriman turns out like Martavis Bryant (minus the off field antics). That guy is a monster and is lightning fast.
  9. It gave hope for next year, though. The defense played well against a potent offense, which is what many of us needed and wanted to see. It will be a source of confidence moving into next season.
  10. That cap number just simply is not sustainable, or warranted. Wake up and get to work, Linta.
  11. What kind of number? Lol
  12. Interesting. Wonder who they would have in mind at #6 as a pass rusher. I was thinking WR or CB personally.
  13. I figured as much, I read through the thread. Given the varying interpretations, I had to ask!
  14. I missed the press conference (I live in Australia) - did a pass rusher, or WR seem more likely for that #6 overall pick?
  15. I'm uncertain, I would love to add to the offensive weapons we have available. Very few teams will beat us if we are consistently scoring 30-35 points per game, which I think we aren't too far away from being to do with Perriman/Smith/Aiken/Gillmore/Williams - imagine another elite WR on the outside opposite Perriman! That being said, I'm also in the corner of drafting Ramsey or Alexander. Our secondary will be very good then, with Smith, a returning Davis and Webb moved to the more suited free safety. Wright also impressed me once he familiarised with system.
  16. AJ Green accumulates like 500 yards of his season total in the two games against us. Well, not actually, but some of his games against us have been ridiculous.
  17. There is less and less excuse with increased calibre of receivers available. Perriman will be excellent down the field, his size and speed should negate some of those under throw interceptions. That being said, he does make some hair brain passes at times where we all scratch our heads. Hope he can cut down on those.
  18. Offense to average over 30 points per game Flacco to throw for over 4500 yards Defense to be top 5 in takeaways
  19. Ah, freshman. I misread the initial post. I am intrigued to see the match up, as Alexander has been a blanket all year thus far.
  20. I still can't believe that trade. Charity boost for our division rivals.
  21. I was watching the national broadcast via Game Pass, the commentators (I believe it was Fox) were discussing how the Bengals players won't wear their AFC North Champions shirts or hats because its "no big deal" - way to live up to that, Bungles. Enjoy another one and done!
  22. No one else has, why will Alabama? Hardly a passing attack to lose sleep over.
  23. His stock will surely rise as the draft gets closer. A lot of initial hype was for Hargreaves III and Ramsey, but Hargreaves III finished poorly against Michigan. I think Ramsey is pretty awesome, but Alexander has somewhat flown under the radar in the way Revis and Asomugha did - passes simply are not completed when the ball is thrown that way. Anywho, Alexander will be fascinating to watch in the National Championship Game.
