  1. With Webb moving to safety, why do we need Kendrick Lewis? He was terrible last year. I remember him dropping a pick-six thrown right to him.

Lewis has been very underwhelming no doubt. Definitely not a playmaker at all. But to respond to your question. Webb has never played safety before. And he's been injury prone lately. So if we let him go, Webb would be our only "true FS"??

  2. I think we'll really know the team we have after the first few games. We must win the first 2 games without question. If we drop one of those, it won't bode well for the rest of the season. I think the first half of the season we need to drop no more than 1 game at worst to remain in contention...

I think going 7-1 through the first 8 is VERY doable. I love the fact that we have a bye week, basically in the middle of the year, and it's right before we play the steelers at home. I like our schedule this year. Weeks 14, 16, and 17 looks like our toughest stretch for sure. If we win 2 of those 3, I think we'll finish 12-4, maybe even 13-3.

Why would they even consider putting guys like Webb and Smith on PR duty when we have Campanaro and Reynolds fighting for the position? The injury risk is way too high.

We already routinely use Webb, but only when we know the punt is going to go near or inside the 20 yard line and Webb is almost guaranteed to call for a fair catch. The team clearly trusts his ability to cleanly field the ball and that's the last place you need a muff. SSS, coming off that injury is going to be highly unlikely to be involved.

Camp - should he be able to stay healthy - is probably going to be the preferred choice. I think he has a much better chance of getting on the field on the offense than Reynolds and it is nice to have guys that can do more than just STs. I still worry a bit about Reynolds being sure handed enough. Turnovers on ST kill, so you really just can't have that happen.

Agreed. No ST turnovers. I prefer Camp for sure. I also think Tavon could be an option. Webb for fair catches. No SSS. Random but I'd like to see what someone like Brooks could do- fast, tough, quick, strong. Just don't use SSS. We need him on Offense

  4. I'd really like to see Waller play bigger in-game. I have yet to see it thus far, since he seems to opt for body-catches when possible, but maybe he just hasn't received the perfect throws in preseason to display his ability to make a tough catch like that.

Yeah, I'm interested to see what he would do on the field with the starters in the regular season. Hope he doesn't get lost in the shuffle. The suspension isn't helpful but he should come in fresh

Be cautiously optimistic for that scenario. Moore will see the field at some point but probably not as a starter. Once Perriman is back he offers the next level speed that Joe will take advantage of.

Who is Perriman? Is he new? LOL

I know you're joking but all these Perriman skeptics/haters/trash talkers act like he's missed 2 or 3 years already. I don't get it. People get hurt. CMON MAN

I hope Ozzie can sign a veteran corner like Antonio Cromartie before the season starts as well as trading for a LB. l would love to get somebody like Paul Posluszny from the Jaguars or something because we got somebody like Eugene Monroe unexpected so you never know. Might not happen, but you never know unless you give them a call. ?

I cant believe we didn't sign Freeman when he was available. I think we missed out big time there. I was thinking about Cromartie and I don't like the thought of him being a full time corner. However I LOVE the idea of bringing him in to be a redzone corner. Once teams get inside about the 40, having him and Jimmy on the outside would be excellent. I think they're both about 6'2. That would also really reduce the chances of him getting burned deep like last year. His speed might be fading, but I think he would be a great situational CB for us. As far as MLB, I don't think anybody at all knows what's gonna happen there....Orr, KC, Arthur Brown, Weddle at times, hopefully not McCleallan, a trade. MLB is a mystery right now

MLB really isn't a mystery, it seems like Orr wrapped up the starting job next to Mosley.

My problem could be that I haven't seen Orr play much- I live in California and didn't get to see every game last year. I still just have a hard time believing Orr is going to be the clear starter and keep the job all year. Unless he is stellar against the pass that is. I'm curious to see how he holds up against lineman coming down hill at him while he's listed at 6 feet 225lbs. Hopefully he can play the position at a smaller size like some guys do. LaVonte David would be one but he's still 10 lbs heavier. With all the talent we have on the edges, I think KC is going to end up getting a lot of time at MLB. And will Arthur Brown finally step up. To be honest I haven't seen Orr play much, so please, let me know if you think the guy's a monster. Just from my somewhat limited angle, I can't see him being the full time starter all year. I could certainly be wrong though.

  7. I don't care what people are predicting for the Ravens this season. This is a really deep and talented team. I don't think we have ever had such high quality back ups. A lot of players are going to get on the field without a drop off in performance. If we stay relatively healthy this team has a chance to have a great year.

Agreed. I don't mind the media doubting, in fact I enjoy it. We thrive off being underdogs. However, I can't stand our "fans" that are negative and pessimistic whiners. Just basing everything off last year as well as all the Perriman whining. Crazy. Can't Wait to watch some Ravens football with Men like Flacco, Sizzle, Weddle, and SSS leading us

  9. I don't expect him to be a double-digit sack machine anymore, but I do expect him to be able to replace Upshaw as an edge-setter while providing a substantial upgrade over Upshaw as a pass-rusher.

I'd would be extremely surprised if Sizzle didn't have at least 10 sacks this year. Playing less or not. I still see 12 sacks and 3-5 FF. It's almost a sure thing he'll have a couple multiple sacks games so 10-14 sacks seems likely imo. We'll see though. I think he's a prideful guy and is really going to work his butt off to finish his career on a high note with his usual productivity

This team needs Sizzle.....Bottom line! We are wayyyy better with him out there. His presence alone, is good for several wins. I only hope we can find out who will be the next cornerstone of this defense

Their already here. Corrrea, Z.Smith, Judon, Orr, J.Smith, T.Young

Sorry but how on earth is Orr a future cornerstone of our defense? He might not even be good enough to play/start this year when we have a hole at mlb. The other guys I'm good with in your statement but Orr?

  11. I don't really like risking him on st, but I think Moore could be a nasty rotational returner. I love his upside to become a huge and valuable part of our offense and team for years to come though. I'd be stoked on a nice rotation of Moore, Camp, and Tavon returning kicks this year. I know the Tavon thought is kinda random to some but I think he could be good at it. Or give Minnesota a 5th rounder for Patterson?

He's WAY too valuable imo. I think Dixon is our best all around rb.

not that i dont want this to be the case but how can you say that after about 8 snaps in one preseason game against 3rd stringers?

My statement and opinion has 0 % to do with the first preseason game. It's based off studying him before and after the draft. And comparing that assessment to the other backs on the team. Obviously these are opinions right now and not facts, for both sides. But I think Dixon will make his point in a hurry once the year begins

  13. I kind of like the idea of putting Dixon back there.....

He's WAY too valuable imo. I think Dixon is our best all around rb. I know I'll get bashed for saying that since he's a rook and hasn't played yet but I really think that. He's a more intense and versatile version of Frank the Tank Gore. A trio or Forsett West and Dixon will be awesome. Not too stoked on Buck.
As for Camp. Can't wait to watch him make plays on st and offense. If he can stay on the field for us...he will play that Jacoby Jones difference maker role from 2012. Returning kicks and making big plays short and long in the passing game. Esp going against everyone's 3rd and 4th db. Do everything you gotta do to stay healthy Camp. We're looking forward to watching you help us win
