If Butler does not make the 53 man roster... one would have to ask what does it take? And secondly who called the shot?

Butler is on the team. No Worries. Smith, Aiken, Wallace, Butler, Perriman are locks. IMO the decision is Moore vs. Campanaro. I would 1000% take Moore for his upside and shorter medical history. IDK how we could keep 7 WR's. Maybe a trade will happen, but I like our guys.

If Campanaro is healthy, we're keeping him. period. And Moore is on the the team for sure. Butler is not a lock yet, I don't know why people over react to PREseason

What I am feeling real optimistic about is seeing Perriman line it up. He is a mismatch nightmare and will draw a lot of attention. Try and single cover this dude and Flacco should air it out. There are no corners in the NFL that can run with him. That should open it up for Smith Wallace and Aiken, not to mention Gilmore and Pitta.
This is the most talented group of receivers Joe has ever had and probably the best in Raven history. With what looks to be a dominating offensive line and at least 2 (3 with Dixon) very fast scat backs that can catch the ball it seems that Joe just needs to read the defense correctly for good results.
If these guys don't put up 30 a game then we need to fire Trestman at once.

While I'm with you on just about all of that, pump the brakes on the Oline. Dominating?!?! Whoa man. Yanda is the only one we can really rely on. Not to mention 2 rookies on the right side...There's potential, but a lot of question marks with the Oline. If the Oline plays even good this year, I think we should definitely average 30 a game

2 rookies on the left* side- even worse

  4. Butler showing up feels like a coming out party is about to happen this year. Levine is playing energized football and seeing the field well. Gotta love seeing Judon doing what he does best against ones. Hopefull for Dixon breturning by week 1.

Thank you for not going overboard on Levine. Judon is definitely the Man- not saying he'll have the same career, but I see him as Sizzle's future replacement. Hopefully Butler can show up in the regular season cuz we need a big bodied Wr that can make contested catches. And looks like Dixon will be back around week 4 or 5- could've been much worse. Between round 4 and 5, I think we could have about 4 starters by mid season, and 6 impact players this year. Just from round 4 and 5. We'll see. Its about time we hit on a draft. To say we've been whiffing lately is an understatement

  5. I wonder if they will let him play safety next to Weddle or corner next to Smith? It's gonna be hard to keep him on the bench while either Webb or Davis plays. It would be nice if some of the other guys like Elam, Webb, Wright or Powers stepped up their games the way Levine has. We need some quality depth in the secondary and all I see are liabilities after the starting 4. Maybe Brooks or Young will be the answer.

its a couple games of preseason MAN

  6. Maybe Jeremy Butler can be the big bodied WR we need that Joe can toss it up to to make contested catches, especially in the red zone. I don't think preseason proves that though. I know we have a numbers game going at a few positions but I would love it if we traded for Jalen Strong! It makes too much sense. He'll never be higher on their depth chart with 2 first round picks and now a 2nd rounder, Braxton Miller taking over the slot. He would be the perfect compliment for the future with Moore. The guy can ball if he's motivated and is in shape. I thought he might go in the first round. Moore, Perriman, and Strong for Joe for the fuure would be sooo sweet

There are a couple of guys that I think deserve to be included.
Alex Lewis. A fourth round draft pick that makes the loss of KO inconsequential.

With the loss of Watson, I think Waller's stock rises. As a bonus, he is solid on special teams.

Just when I have been very critical of OZ recents drafts, he finds a 5th round diamond in Judon and 4th round steals like Moore, Lewis, and Dixon.

Yep. I really like this draft class and Ozzie find lots of talent in the later rounds but the only draft pick that is still question with is the Correa pick where we could've draft Myles Jack and would've been set a LB along with CJ Mosley but it's too early for that. I'm gonna give Correa a chance because he might become a good football player.

Personally, I was really hoping they had drafted Sterling Shepard in the second, he was available, even after they traded back the first time. Correa seems more menacing in the practices vs games so far. Hopefully he can translate more production into the games.

Sterling is ridiculous. I was calling it before the draft and I stand by it 100 % even now before 1 regular season game has been played. He is the best WR from this draft class. He looks like a SSS replica, except I doubt he has quite the attitude. I was really hoping we picked him in the 2nd too. CBs are gonna have a lot fun covering Beckam and Shepard.....jeez

  8. I'll start by saying Levine has looked really good this PREseason and I'm stoked to watch him lead st as well as play on defense this year. But pump the brakes people! I don't understand how everyone is freaking out at annointing him as one of our best players on D essentially and saying he needs to be out there with the defensive 11 every play. PREseason people

  9. i thought they could've kept him in a bubble until wk 6 , so we can see other WRs, like mathews and butler and camp.

If here's ready to go we can use him for sure. Even if he's not ready til week 3 or 4. I highly doubt Matthews makes the team. Camp will return punts and we need to use him sparingly on O to keep him fresh and healthy. If we split Perriman and Wallace out wide, the middle of the field and/or the run game WILL be open. We have guys coming back from injuries and 2 new starters on the Line, but this looks like just about the most talented Ravens Offense I've seen

  10. I have a couple predictions

I think we keep 7 wr's with SSS, PERRIMAN, AIKEN, WALLACE, CAMPANARO, BUTLER, and MOORE.

I think Tavon Young becomes a starter early in the season. With wright and Powers struggling.

I think Terrence Brooks starts in place of Lewis at some point in the season

And I think ppl need to stop panicking over the bills defense wk1. They underperformed last year and honestly don't worry me.

not to mention theyre missing Dareus, Mario Williams, Ragland and Shaq Lawson. They really only have 2 good corners in that case and we're loaded with skills players. I think we put 30 up week 1, esp if Perriman is back

week 1 will speak volumes as to where this teams areas of concerns are. hard to judge in the preseason with both coordinators showing vanilla schemes.

No kidding, Rex and defense is going to show the Ravens what the Ravens use to look like. Ravens offense will do good this year but just not in this game.

With no Mario Williams, Dareus, Shaq Lawson, or Ragland......I'm not too worried about the offense in game 1. They do have 2 very good corners but not too much else. If our O line even plays average, we have way too many mismatches to not make defenses pay on a consistent basis. We might not put up 30 against the elite defenses, but Buffalo is not 1 of them, esp week 1. If Perriman is ready, we'll see what happens when Rex brings his blitz with Mike Wallace and Perriman streaking the outside, and SSS and our awesome group of TEs running across the field. Tyrod, Shady and Watkins posses and interesting challenge for any defense, but I will be very surprised and dissapointed if we don't take game 1 in our house

  12. Unitas threw a pass one time and jammed his pointer finger into a pass rusher's helmet. Knocked the finger out of the socket. He goes to the sideline and the trainer pops it back in. He's good to go for the next play. 20 years later he couldn't sign autographs because the finger was so arthritic.
Pitta has a little crack in his finger. There are four others on that hand, so why not just use them.

really? good idea... Yeah Dennis go block against the best and catch bullets from Joe Flacco with a broken bone in your finger..Not to mention the part about it completely busting if it takes a shot right now...Thanks for your comment though. And if you're joking my bad. I just can't stand the lame/negative comments on this site. Esp about Perriman

  13. I swear seems people are just trying to run Suggs and Elvis out of this town. These two will NOT be the issue for 2016.

That's crazy. These 2 will be a serious strength for us no doubt in my mind. Sizzle is one of a kind and Doom had 17 sacks 2 years ago when he played his role and people were healthy. They will both play another season or two.....no way they don't go out guns blazing to end their careers. Not to mention we more talent around them this year. Sizzle will impact the game in every way this year, and I think they will easily finish with 26+ sacks. Almost time for Ravens football
