  1. Thank you for writing this article. The ravens will not be the ravens without BWILL and people will run all over us without him. Plus what other 340 lb NT have quick feet and get QB pressure as well as being a top 3 run stuffer in the game. We CANNOT lose BWILL
  2. awful answer and timing. that DE spot becomes a mystery now. Carl Davis.....where you at?? more like time to use more 4-3 than 3-4. Stack Carl and BWILL in the middle I say....jeez. I'm pretty sure it won't happen. But wish we would trade more MO Wilkerson
  3. If we stay healthy and the Oline holds up, I think 10-6 is the very worst case scenario with a lot of bad bounces included. If we are completely healthy, and that would include Sizzle and SSS at 90%-anything more is a massive bonus, I think we're a 12-4 team easy. I think health, and the left side of the line are the only questions marks at all. Right now, I'm confident about Stanely, esp considering how confident our front office is with him considering everything. I also think Guard and ILB are the 2 easiest positions to fill with inexperienced or players that might not be looked at as huge talents. Not to say that they're not important positions, every one is obviously. I think Urshel or Lewis can man that left guard spot with competence. I also think Lewis might be an awesome long term solution for LG with Urshel hanging around being a great and versatile back up O lineman. ILB is really the biggest ? to me as to who will start and play most of the snaps. I had high hopes for Arthur Brown when we drafted him. I really hope he can step up but I have severely tempered those expectations at this point. I think KC will be on the field almost all the time. Whether he's playing in the middle next to Mosely, screaming off the edge on his way to de-cleating Ben and Andy, or straight up setting the edge with an attitude. I think Brown and Orr will occasionally get mixed into the ILB every so often to see what they have to offer as well. Looks like KC has all the tools though, as well as between his ears. I think Z steps up and completely takes over that Upshaw/JJ role, yet he has WAY more pass rushing ability than both those 2. That will allow KC to focus on rushing the passer, and learning the traditional ILB role and pass coverage. He is a quick, fast, and explosive LB which really makes me believe he can learn and take on that role in a huge way. He also seems very dedicated. If we have KC and Mosely manning the middle for years to come, that will suck for opposing teams. Also with that versatility to send KC at anytime..lookout. Also who knows, maybe KC will just help at ILB this year then take over Doom's role. I could see that. Also I have so many thoughts on the team, and they seem to be written down without a bunch of organization, sorry bout that. Can't help it, just have a lot of passion for this team and endless thoughts on it. Esp this year with all the talent and depth
  4. Flacco has already been surrounded by a "plethora of quality playmakers" prior to this year. I'll argue that the supporting cast Flacco had in 2012 was more impressive than what he has now. This year's group has far more injury issues and less collective experience than what the 2012 offense had. The football gods really, really need to be smiling on the offense in order for this to be Joe's best year so far. Given the horrible luck the Ravens had with injuries last year, I think they deserve better fortune than 2015. I respectfully disagree. Flacco's weapons were very good in 2012 but not great. He's also never had a legitimate number 1 WR. His entire career and stats and perception would be completely different if he would been working with someone like A. Brown or AJ Green or even Josh Gordon throughout his career. Torrey made big plays for us but the number of times he would slip on a "route" or not fight for a contested catch backfired on us just as much as his big plays helped us. Less collective experience? SSS, Watson, Pitta, Mike Wallace, Forsett, that's about as much experience as a team could have from the skills players. If Stanley plays well and our health holds up- i know i know, I think Joe has his most efficient year by far. Probably best stats too. Stats aren't everything though. I'll take a W with Joe having the worst stats ever. As long he gets the W. I do agree about deserving better fortune
  5. seriously though. So stacked it's ridiculous. If our roster is healthy, it's easily the nastiest in the league. I can't wait for this year. Time for SSS and Sizzle to finish off their career with a ring ( number 2 for Suggs).
  6. If Jimmy is Healthy, and Suggs is even 90%, we have a top 5 D this year. Easy. So many beautiful pieces on D. What an addition Weddle was. If ravens fans aren't familiar with his play and ability, they will be after week 1. Interested to see what Webby does at FS
  7. Easily the most important player on D. Followed by Sizzle and BWILL
  8. I wish we could release the "fans" that are saying release Perriman.......jeez
  9. I want to see attitude. The old D shoved the O guys around. If we get to 10-6, as NFL channel predicts, then D is the KEY. SSS is the attitude maker on O If the line is event decent, I think our Offense can be better than it's been in years. We need SSS though. Pitta and Perriman would be huge bonuses if healthy. But I agree, D is the Key. I think that hinges on the health of one player- Jimmy. If Jimmy gets back to form, I think we will be a top 5 D easy. I don't know if he can, but I sure hope he does. We need Jimmy
  10. I think you mean KC and not KO. I do indeed. Jeez, I've been writing KO for KC on every post...just used to it I guess. Hopefully he can bring some of that nasty that KO provided for us
  11. Cut Perriman?!??? LMAO. Are these steeler fans or just awful band wagon fans writing this....unreal. This article isn't even on him lol. I love this draft including KO. I think Kufasi is the wild card. We need another effective d lineman. Can his back hold up and will he translate to the NFL? Hope so. If he does, I say we look back in a few years and realize this class more than made up for whiffing on some of the last few
  12. hes a udfa with nothing to lose - unless he's actually being reckless rather than just playing hard with a chip on his shoulder then he stands to lose nothing from these skirmishes etc. he was a nobody and now an entire fanbase is talking about him and pollard was a similar kind of player who ravens fans still salivate over - let him have a go - if he does go overboard i trust harbs and the coaching staff to stop him (or cut him) yeah we're talking about him cuz he's treating training camp like the regular season and actually hurting our players! Putting people on their back that are holding tackling dummies. That's just pure stupidity. Wasn't it this type of exact stuff that dislocated/fractured Pitta's hip....well before the season. He's on his way to knocking out one of our players for the year. Sit that guy down and talk to him please, coaching staff, or get hi the **** outta there. not cool
  13. I'm 27, from Santa Cruz, and have been a die hard Ravens fan for 10+ years. Don't know what the chances are of my 2 favorite athletes ever joining the Ravens after I jumped on board- Q and SSS. Now Weddle??? he's not my 3rd favorite athlete, but he's always been one of my very favorite NFL players. This guy is a FOOTBALL player. I don't think the casual Weddle fan has any idea about how much positive impact this guy is bringing to the Ravens. I remember checking rotoworld for about a week straight just looking for the post saying we signed him. I was sitting in the bathroom when I finally saw it and let out the biggest roar and shout of joy! My roomate thought I won the Lotto at the time and was super confused....lol
  14. Obviously nobody wants to see injuries or fights. Especially pre-season. Hope Dennis is all good. Nice to see K.O. not backing down though. Really think this is a special draft class. It better be considering how we drafted the past few years
  15. I'll never forget that contested and tough grab you made over the middle vs Denver a few years back. I think it was on a 3rd and 25 or something of the sort and such a crucial point of the game. Its plays like that we miss. Hopefully your healthy and stay healthy beyond your football life
  16. Ravens football isn't Ravens football without T-Sizzle. One more true Terrell Suggs type of year please! Don't even have to have 15 sacks. Just impact the game and organization like we're used to. We need you if we're going all the way. And yeah yeah, I know all of you negative or "realistic" "fans" that'll get on the last statement. But if we're 100% healthy, or close, which is a big IF. I think we have as good of a chance as anymore, and probably better really, to raise the Lombardi Trophy again this season than anyone else.
  17. I second that. We could've really used Q to top off our wr core this year....but I highly doubt he would ever consider coming back here after the way he was traded away while on vacation w/o notice. Maybe that wasn't as bad as it was made out to be though. Who knows. Q is my 2nd favorite athlete of all time, right behind SSS. That was the case before both put on purple as well. Luckiest thing for me. I agree 100% that he'll put up 70+ catches and 900+ yards this year. 9 TDS too. I would spike those numbers another 20% too if Marvin Jones doesn't stay healthy which he usually doesn't. Plus he's completely overated. Good Luck Q. Not sure if your numbers will get you in the HOF, but if I made a list of the best 50 FOOTBALL players ever, you'd be on there
  18. I would like to see Trestman dial-up some trick plays with Reynolds. He was a quarterback and I could see him on an end around with the option to run or pass. If a safety to bites on the run one of the speedy WR's could be open for a quick score. agreed. time to use him like Antwan Randell Ell and others. Time to get more creative on both sides of the ball. Hue Jackson was so good at that on O in Cincy, Glad he's not there anymore
  19. Weddle doesn't line up 1 on 1 vs a WR. Thats not what safeties do. But they do help all the cbs and make the entire unit better if they are that good. And Weddle is that good. Same faces?? Powers is a very good and experience slot and outside corner. Will Davis is healthy and looked good last year for the short time he was. Wright played well after coming over. I LOVE the looks of this Tavon Young! I'd be surprised if he didn't have at least 3 picks and a TD this year. Webby moves out of corner which should help a bunch. Even if he doesn't play well at safety, Lewis or Brooks can fill in and at least be average. Who knows about Canady. But Jimmy wasn't healthy last year. If he can return to form that not only changes the secondary or defense, but that would change the entire team. We will be playing in January if Jimmy is healthy. Plus our front Seven should be completely revamped which helps the secondary as well. If Jimmy is back, Suggs is even 85-90%, and Pees doesn't screw stuff up, I fully expect to be a top 5 D
  20. I hope we're able to keep Reynolds and Camp. They can both contribute as wrs and more as well. I don't see how Clay would ever make the team just as special teams contributer, especially with the talented and deep roster we have. Lets use Camp and Keenan 50/50 on returns, to help keep each fresh. Both are electric. Buck can be the emergency returner and a db could really fill in if needed. I think that works esp. since Dixon and Forsett should be getting most of the running back time. Buck is a perfect true back up and it really seems as if he can contribute on both sides of special teams
  21. Same goes for Perriman...and Suggs...and Smith Sr., and Flacco...and Jimmy Smith...and Webb...and so on and so on and so on....... Unfortunately, that has become a painful tag line for nearly half the players on the Ravens roster over the last two years'- "If he can stay healthy" So true. And so painful for the fans, and I'm sure the whole organization. Huge ??? about whether everyone will be healthy this year and back to form. When we are 100% healthy, or even 95, I still sincerely believe we have the most talented roster in the league
  22. Wish Aiken well but really hope we don't resign him
  23. Only Wagner and Williams. BWILL is a monster, in an awesome way
  24. I think part of the reason we are moving Webby to safety is his age, inability to stay healthy at corner, and his straight corner skills diminishing with age and injury factoring in. Having said that, I think he could be a top tier free safety if he stays healthy.HUGE IF at this point. He has range, ball skills, and won't have to try and stick on somebody's hip the whole play. The staff has also talked about the versatility of playing W&W at both safety spots. Although this will happen occasionally, I DONT LIKE IT. Let Webb perfect his back end free safety defense, and keep him out of the box in hopes of keeping him healthy. The occasional Blitz is ok though considering he's not bad in that department. Weddle has always been one of my favorite NFL players. HUGE pick up there. W&W will be awesome if Webby picks up on the position at all. Weeks 3-6 should be an early test for that theory as we'll play gunslinger Carr, then Bortles with A&A, then Cousins with all his receiving targets, then Eli and Beckam after that. Of course Brady will be the ultimate test for Webby, which conveniently enough is towards the end of the season and close to the playoffs. As well as being at the gold standard of where to win on the road right now. I'll be pretty upset if Elam wastes a roster spot. Time to accept it and MOVE ON. Could be time with Arthur Brown as well, but I hope not. Painful, Painful draft that year. Lewis is a very solid back up, but needs to make more plays. I think this year is the year we really find out what T. Brooks will have to offer now, and in the future. Definitely not getting my hopes up with him, but there is a lot of potential there. Unfortunately he hasn't shown us much yet. Lewis, Webb, and Weddle are the top 3 safeties. With Brooks and Levine battling for 1 or 2 spots. Bottom line, looks like our best safety group since the hall of famer left.
