  1. Just playing devil's advocate And while I believe our TE group has depth, it lacks reliability or 1 true complete TE that can stay on the field. I'm on the Barnett or Davis, or trade down boat
  2. I hear ya. I know what you're saying. And I agree more with you about not talking Howard, than doing so, but I wouldn't be mad if we did. Calling Pitta a top 10 TE means nothing. Him not being able to block is a serious giveaway on plays, and a handicap. Whether he blocks, or doesn't block on the play. It's not like he's enough of a receiving threat to dismiss the fact he does take up a TE spot, and can't block at all. Williams is useless. And I'm not saying I'd cut him If we drafted Howard, Gilmore would still be the # 2 te. Then we would actually have 2 real te's, that can block and catch. Boyle would be an awesome 4 and good back up and special teamer. Once again. I totally hear what you're saying, and agree with a lot of it. But we don't have 1 true TE on the roster that we can rely on. Especially one that is a big time difference maker. I don't think that's even debatable
  3. Great post. Couldn't have said it any better. Howard is a monster but it just doesn't make sense I just responded to this. With a different thought than I just responded with, if Howard slips to 18.......that could mean a very nice package deal to trade down, if a playoff team freaks out and trades up for him
  4. Great post. Couldn't have said it any better. Howard is a monster but it just doesn't make sense -Watson is how old? and coming off an Achilles. And just had one stand out year when Brees was throwing to him - My sister blocks better than Pitta. He led all te's in catches because a 3 yard pass to Pitta was all Joe could see on 3rd and 7. Not having PItta would be great for Joe, yet many think the opposite. Not durable, can't block at all, and overrated as a receiver -I like Gilmore but he is of no use to the Ravens if he can't stay on the field - Maxx has done absolutely nothing since being a 2nd round pick. And don't tell me he broke records, look at his stats. Probably another recent high pick bust - Boyle is solid but nothing special, and was suspended - and Waller is absolutely nothing to rely on OJ Howard is the best TE I've ever seen come out along with Vernon Davis. He would help the pass game, the run game, and be a much needed red zone threat. Most people have him as a top 10 talent in this insane draft, and some have mocked him as high as 4 overall. I understand the pass rushing, wr, and oline needs, but as you said, Howard is a monster. And if we drafted him he would most likely be the BPA. I totally understand what you're saying, but if he ended up being our Gronk, I wouldn't be mad at all. He has all the attributes, and he is even quite a bit faster than Gronk. If we passed on Barnett for Howard, I would not be happy. Aside from that, if he makes it to 16, he has a great chance of being the BPA
  5. Just noticed Carl Lawson isn't even on Mayock's top 100 list. He was being mocked late 1rst for a while. Now I guess his stock has been dropping. His NFL draft profile has a 3rd round projection. Yet, I think I saw PFF has him as the 12th best player overall. Interesting. Looks like he's going anywhere from late 1 to the third. Crazy Draft. It's almost time!
  6. Mike Mayock listing Teez in the 80's on his top 100 list....... ITS OFFICIAL, the entire draft community has gone insane when it comes to Tabor. The guy is a top 15 talent and a first round pick in any draft. Top 4 corner in this draft easily. Whoever gets him is going to get THE steal of the draft. It just proves how bonkers people go in this pre-draft process. Just watch the tape! When the first mocks came out before the ridiculous pre draft process, I saw multiple people mocking Teez to the Titans....at #5 OVERALL. The guy is a playmaker, and has been his entire football career. I really hope we draft Teez Tabor. Pairing Tabor with Tavon, Jimmy, TJ, and Weddle for multiple years sounds amazing. Grabbing King as Weddle's successor would be amazing as well. These are 5 names I hope are Baltimore Ravens after Friday is done. Carl Lawson Ju Ju Smith Teez Tabor Desmond King Pat Elfein Perine in the 4th would be SWEET as well. If we added those 6 names, and another lineman, I have no doubt we would have THE best roster in the NFL. Our coaching is a different story...............which is slightly important.
  7. SO true. You nailed it! LOL
  8. Ideal draft without any trades- 1. Barnett 2. Ju Ju 3. Teez Tabor 3. Pat Elfein 4. Olineman- Johnson from FSU 5. Samaje Perine 6. ILB If we pulled that off.............................
  9. Trade down 10 spots unless Davis or Barnett are there at 16. After trading down, make sure we grab Lawson and Ju Ju with our first 2 picks
  10. Bro we have TE's but none of them have proved to be consistent nor game changing. Very True. Along with Vernon Davis, Howard is the best TE I've ever seen coming out of college too. I wouldn't be surprised or mad if we took him at 16. He'll probably be off the board though. I would hate it if we took the Miami TE at 16 though
  11. agreed. I'd just replace Foster with Davis. Dream 1 and 2 for me is Barnett then Ju Ju
  12. Wallace and Perriman will look incompetent if we don't add a Q/Keenan/Landry type, if we do add a legitimate possession/3rd down/red zone wr early, then Wallace and Perriman will flourish and look amazing as deep threats and perfect complimentary pieces I really think it will be night and day with our wr core, depending on whether we add that right guy or not ( Ju Ju!!!!!!!!!!) -Ju Ju, Wallace, and Perriman, with Camp and Moore as the 4 and 5 is as complete and as dangerous as a wr core will get imo - If we rely on Wallace and Breshad to clearly be on top of the depth chart, our wr core will be in big trouble. Everything has to work together. Breshad and Mike are very good pieces, but they're the quick and slippery Jelly, they need that solid and tough Peanut Butter that holds everything together!
  13. That would be a reasonabl draft - but I'm afraid Schuster at #74 and Pocic in the fourth round may be too optimistic. I don't think Pocic in the 4th is that big of a strech A lot of people are calling for Schuster early (and I think you are probably right) but most of the pundits are calling for him in the 3rd and even 4th round???? Wonder if there is something about him that we are not aware of???? No Way. I have a hard time seeing him making it to our second pick. The guy is a first round talent any year
  14. I know Ravens fans don't want to see us draft another TE, but OJ Howard is the best tight end I've ever seen coming out of college, him and Vernon Davis. He'll probably be a top 10 pick, and rightfully so. I wouldn't be mad if we took him. I'm watching him and Ju Ju on game changers right now. Ju Ju said he models his game after Q and Dez. That's what I see on tape. It's a good episode. We need to draft Ju Ju
  15. Agree 100%. Cook has a lot of red flags on and off the field though. Trading down, and getting Ju Ju in the second, plus another pick in this insane draft definitely seems like better value though to me now. I'm starting to think I like Ju Ju as the best wr regardless of draft spot. Davis is intriguing no doubt, just harder to judge cuz of the competition and transition he'll make. Obviously there's a lot of different routes we can go in terms of what position to choose in what order, but here's a quick DREAM scenario for me for Thursday and Friday. Nobody knows exactly where people are going to be picked, but if we pulled anything close to this, I would probably sprint straight to Baltimore from here( CA) cuz I'd be so pumped!!! This does involve 2 trades- trading down from 16, and trading 2 or 3 2018 picks (maybe a 2nd, 4th, and 6th), for an extra 2017 2nd rounder. The Baltimore Ravens 2017 first 6 picks - Forrest Lamp - Carl Lawson - Ju Ju Smith - Pat Elfein - Teez Tabor - Desmond King BOOM! -DOMINANT top 5 Oline- for years and years - As complete of a wr core as any in the league -Lawson to put opposite Sizzle and learn from him - Our FS of the future to learn from Weddle - Teez is a top 3 corner in this draft IMO, pairing him with Tavon and Jimmy would be nuts. Not to mention he can slowly catch on for a year while Carr is here - The secondary would be set and elite for the next 3-5 years at least I know the likeliness of Ozzie trading into the 2nd, for our 6th pick in the first 3 rounds is very very low, but it's so worth it for this draft. Pretty sure we still have some money to save as well to sign these picks if need be by releasing Arrington and Watson. K.C. and P.O. are gonna battle for the other ILB spot too. And we could still even use a 4th or 5th on one with this plan. It's not a position that needs a big investment on, especially with C.J. there, and considering how absurd the rest of our D is. If we executed this plan combined with our current foundation, I believe we would be the dominant team for the next 5 years plus. At the very least, we would be right there with the Pats every year. Brady isn't gonna keep chuggin forever. I'm sure some fans will pick my plan apart, but I love it, and really hope we do something like this. Then add in Mr. Samaje Perine as our 4th rounder. Behind: Stanley-Lewis-Elfein-Yanda-Lamp Perine and Dixon could split the load and each put up 800-1000 yards a year. Which would certainly take the pressure off Flacco. And someone on ESPN made a simple, but great point the other day. The Ravens, but more specifically Flacco, is at his best off play action. We have the deep threats. Now just fill that line in. That line + those 2 backs would be such a bummer for opposing defenses! lol especially during the cold months and playoff time! * side note, it kinda looks like Lewis has the body of a Tackle, not a Guard. Maybe Lewis can play RT. Also, I would not be mad at all if we straight up picked Lamp at 16. He's underrated. People think he can play all 5 line positions. I say if he comes in and plays LG, he challenges K.O., Yanda, and Zach Martin right away, year 1, as the best Guard in the league.

  17. Did you watch the Offense last year? And we lost Smitty. We'll use a high pick on a pass rusher no doubt. ILB is not a position you need to spend a first or second round pick on- Orr is a great example of that. We'll use a high pick on a pass rusher and our defense is Loaded and almost completely set. We need a couple Olineman and a wr though. A rb wouldn't be a bad idea either. I love Dixon but he needs to get and stay on the field
  18. We don't need a big name WR. We need someone that can run routes, someone that can be relied upon for big third down pick ups, someone that can make contested catches, and someone that can be a red zone presence. Breshad and Mike are great speed guys, now we need that "Q" type, that worked so well pairing with Torrey. Ju Ju Schuster Smith is exactly what we need. He's rated as the 5th or 6th best wr in this class ( which is absurd, he might be my favorite), so grabbing him in the 2nd would be SO perfect
  19. I was thinking one of them may be available to us with the first of the 3rd round picks... I think JuJu is going in the second and I think he's exactly what we need. Short term and long term. I hope we make it happen
  20. By later rounds do you mean the second round? Cuz I think both of those guys are going the second for sure, maybe Kupp slips to the third.
  21. Agree 100%! I almost think the value of Getting Ju Ju in the second, and drafting an edge rusher in the first, would be better than vise versa.....but it would be hard to pass on Davis. I'm a huge JuJu fan though. His 2015 tape is top notch. I think he can be everything Davis can be, plus JuJu has great character and drive. He just might be a tiny bit less explosive than Davis. But Smith has better hands imo and might be better overall when it's all said and done. Imagine how much better JuJu would look going against the competition Davis faced. I'm really hoping Barnett is there at 16. I like Lamp too. Trading down 5-10 spots and getting an extra awesome pick for this draft, while also picking Takk, or Taco, or Harris in the first would be sweet. Something like this would be sweet. Trade down in the first, draft Lamp. Take Lawson with the extra pick. JuJu in the second. Then we still have 2 3rd rounders. Time to do work on Thursday and Friday FO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CANT WAIT
  22. This isn't the 90s anymore lol teams have ample tape on those late round gems now, which boosts their stock into the early rounds. For an elite line you must have at least 3/5 blue chip lineman with two average to above average complimentary lineman--e.g., the Cowboys, who had the elite guys like Smith, Martin and Frederick, but also had good complimentary guys like Leary and Free. And for the record, the Cowboys team that invested ZERO first round picks in it's OL like could crap on this team that spent three picks on the same thing. Smith Martin and Frederick are first rounders...............?
  23. I saw that on that big group mock today. I wouldn't pick Cook at 16, but it would be interesting. We do need playmakers
  24. JuJu is an animal indeed! It may be a blessing that he had a horrible QB that hurt his numbers. I'm not sure if he's available unless we move up in the second and snatch him. Kopp on film looks just as nasty but one must factor the competition. I think it's a solid plan B Agreed. Kupp would be a good back up plan. This is one draft I don't see us trading up in. Too many AWESOME players between 20-100 to give up any picks. In most drafts, I think Ju Ju is a first rounder for sure. Hopefully he slips to our second pick. He just mite. He's been going later than that in a lot of mocks. I really really hope we draft Ju Ju, but bottom line is we need a tough possession wr. I don't think anyone can argue that's not the case
  25. That's awesome. Ozzie needs to replace the holes left by the departures of Tommy Streeter and Aaron Mellette. Antonio Brown & Brandon Marshall agree with you, the Ravens should definitely trade up in the 1st Round for the highest rated WR and stud play-maker. Just imagine how they would look if they did that to take WR Kevin White, DGB, LaQuan Treadwell & Justin Hunter - the size and speed - WOW. That would be like 18 Super Bowls in a row! With that WR core, Flacco would throw at least 80 TDs and 10,000 yards in a season...... 85% OF ALL PLAYERS DRAFTED ARE BUSTS! Once again, I ask you what you're burnin. I want some. lol trade up in the first.............DGB and Hunter were picked in the second round.........
