  1. why does everyone leave out Aikens? I agree...Karmar was one of the few bright spots of last year. He can definitely play in the thick of things. I think we are so stacked with talent this year it may take him a while to register again on the radar...but that being said...I always think of him too. Def a playmaker. Sorry but he's not a playmaker. The only reason he had decent stats last year is because he was the only one left to throw to. He's a # 3 wr at best on any team
  2. At least Elam isn't out there then we'd really have a problem with that!! Still can't believe we kept him
  3. Agreed!
  4. You're right. The running game is atrocious right now. I think there are 3 things that will improve the running game more and more as the season goes on. The Oline needs time to gel, especially the left side. MadMan Dixon will be back. He's way better than Forsett and West imo. He reminds me of one of my favorite players ever. Fred Taylor. Also, I think the passing game is just going to get better and better with SSS getting healthier, Perriman working his way in and becoming a major deep threat, and Moore working his way in as well. So with the passing game becoming very dangerous as time goes on, it should only help and open up the run game. As far as hearing anything about Dixon. I haven't, but I anticipate it being at least another 2-3 weeks before he's out on the field. Not only did he hurt his knee. but he also has to work his way back into football shape. I'm a little worried about our cbs, mostly the # 2 corner. BUT starting arounf mid season or so, I think we should be hanging 30+ on our opponents. Don't care who we're playing. I would prefer we were the underdogs in every single game we played no matter what, but I think after weeks 14-17... the media will not have any choice but to show mad respect for the Baltimore Ravens
  5. why does everyone leave out Aikens? Because he's not that good. He's a great number 4 or 5 wr. Even a number 3 sometimes. But SSS, Perriman, Wallace, Moore and Pitta all have more to offer as a pass catcher. That doesn't mean he's not an important part of the team though
  6. Where are all the negative Nancies on Hester now. LOL. Just wait til he scores, then they'll all be on the wagon. The team is loaded this year. Still don't understand why we didn't sign Freeman to play ILB but that's all good. Orr looks decent so far. My biggest concern is the CB play. The run game looks terrible right now but I'm assuming that will improve with Oline gelling time, as well as MadMan Dixon coming back. But I'm worried about Wright in coverage. Everyone was quick to praise him as an amazing player after he made some great tackles against a team that can't throw the ball....but how's his coverage? Suspect imo. I think Will Davis is going to have to take over for him sooner rather than later. Jimmy hasn't been great either, hopefully he can re-gain his form from a couple years ago. That has to have a huge influence on how far we go this year. The Weddle addition is MASSIVE though. Props to Ozzie on his SSS Weddle and Q acquisitions. Those 3 are Ravens, and were all 3 of my top fav. athletes before they became Ravens. I have faith in every level of our team. I'll just be keeping my eye on the Cbs, as well as how Webby holds it down back there
  7. I agree. our running game is terrible and I can't tell if it's the Oline as well but Forsett does not look good at all! Get healthy Dixon!!!!!
  8. Good post. 2-0 is what counts. Not every win is going to be pretty. who cares. Yeah looks like our O line needs more time to gel and we need Dixon back. Til then, sling it around Joe. He has weapons. He's still underthrowing Perriman though. Breshad has to go to him and fix that. If you watch that replay of when he beats Gilmore down the sideline....you can see that he was running right by him but had to slow down for the ball. Joe and Perriman could be very special by mid season
  9. Browns Qb performed better than Joe.......Not Quite LOL
  10. You're right. He's actually stated publicly in the past that he prefers to hit wrs in the feet so they have to fall down to catch it....kinda weird right? LOL smh
  11. What happened to al those saying Wright is a straight baller?? LOL! I thought this would happen unfortunately. He made some tackles against a team last week that can't throw the football at all. However, now he struggles against the Browns wrs?? He's got a lot tougher wrs coming his way, right away too. The o line looks like it needs a little time to gel which is expected. But our corners do not look good. Time for Will Davis to no longer be a healthy scratch. Joe, stop underthrowing Perriman, and corners play better, and we'll be just fine. Esp. with Doom and Dixon coming back
  12. It's a good thing too. Our past drafts have been killing us. Whiffing left and right at high picks. I still don't think anybody has an idea about what we're going to get out of our 2nd and 3rd round pick, which is a big deal. But the 1rst, 4th, and 5th round look like home runs. We just simply can't afford to make anymore Elam and Arthur Brown picks. I mean, just releasing 1rst and 2nd round picks that can't even make the team?!? COSTLY. And when I say 1rst round, we should've released Elam already. Nothing against him personally, but considering his draft spot and play on the field, Elam might be my least favorite Raven ever. I legitamitely think he cost us a chance at a superbowl with his missed tackle on Edleman in the playoffs. He is a missed tackle machine and he can't cover. Accept it and cut ties already front office
  13. I don't see Buck as more than a special teamer. Especially when Dixon returns. He is NOT a good rb. I don't think even average. He is a decent pass catching back. We don't need him. We have 3 backs that are much better than him. If we could trade him for a 5th or 6th I would be stoked
  14. No team is ever lucky to win. It's a grind every game and every game is different. And thanks for the genius input on 13 points a game not being great for a whole season. Glad we all get to read great and insightful post such as these
  15. Maybe cuz we have a lot of new pieces and people coming back from injury. We also played a very good defense with 2 great corners. Also wasn't Joe's fault for all the oline penalties and Zuttah giving a possesion away. And are you kidding? It's ridiculous how people put stock into preseason. They're all back up players and nobody play's their actual schemes or real games plans. And you're right, Joe sure looked like a 3rd qb when he checked out of a run and delivered a dime for a 66 yard TD pass....? There has been 1 game played this year. And we are 1-0.
  16. Steelers are a less concern than those Bengals and plus l respect them more. I'm only rooting for them in this match up. We can beat the Steelers. But some reason l hate the Bengals more because they keep beating us with AJ. Green in late touchdown passes. Gottcha. I thought you were saying you were rooting for the Steelers vs the Redskins......Didn't understand that. I think we have a tougher time vs the bengals too
  17. really though. If we're expecting to go deep into the playoffs, which I certainly am, we should really beat them by 2 scores+. Though I think our offense needs some time to gel and gain chemistry, I'll be pretty dissapointed/concerned if we don't put up at least 27 points Sunday. 34 sounds more appropriate though. After watching the 9ers on Monday night, I think the Browns are clearly the worst team in the league.
  18. I can't wait to see him as well! I guess that seniority thing is holding him back and I know he can respect that! The Ravens are "Deeper than empty pockets" Deep! I say there's no way seniority is what's holding him back. Harbs puts the best players on the field, period. Hopefully that pick wasn't a whiff. Waaay too early to tell. But something that was a sure whiff was passing on Sterling Shepard with that pick
  19. Front office blew it big time by not taking Sterling Shepard with that pick. We seem to have serious issues drafting, or not drafting wrs.
  20. "have to face the fact that Perriman can't stay healthy".......You haters act like he's missed his first 2 or 3 seasons....WTH LOL He missed 1 season. It's the NFL. People get hurt, non contact or not. He's playing now. Don't be so lame eh
  21. I love those replays too. It was interesting to see how they just had 4 LBs just standing there with nobody to cover after Joe made a genuis audible at the line-it was originally gonna be a run. YES Flacco. Also, this is off topic but I'll lose my mind if we don't resign BWILL this season or in the offseason. He helps us keep our identity. People would run all over us without BWILL. Not to mention he also gets pressure and a couple sacks on qbs @340+ pounds. The man is invaluable to this team. And ravens football. And the people that feel differently might say he's just a NT that doesn't get sacks. We can just draft another and spend the money elsewhere. I disagree. I honestly think he is THE best true NT in the game. And we wouldn't play RAVENS football without him. And he seems like an awesome, humble, and high character guy. The only way I could justify not resigning him would be, if he demanded 8-9+/year. And in that case we better spend that money on a top flight corner or center. Again, sorry bout the off topic, but I just think BWILL is one of the 5 most important players on our team. And I really hope we don't lose him. Yanda and BWILL were hands down the best 3rd round picks ever by this organization. I was starting to lose faith in our drafting after these past few years, until I saw and studied the the 6 picks in the 4th and 5th round this year. I truly believe all 6 of those players will be starters next year. Sorry for the rambling. I'm just so passionate about my ravens. And especially excited for our loaded team this year. TOUCHDOOOWWWWNN RRAAAAAAAAVVVEENNSS!
  22. I think we should go black pants all the time no matter what. Then black tops as our home jersey and purple for away
  23. hahahahahahaha!!!!!!! honestly though. Thanks for the comment. Might be the very first comment on here that made me crack up
  24. I'm actually rooting for the Steelers in that game. Im starting to hate the Bengals more than the Steelers and besides we got the Steelers number lately. Wait, What?!? Why would you EVER be rooting for the steelers? EVER???
  25. I agree so much. We've never had an offense like this. Dixon is going to turn heads as well. After everyone's starting to get used to eachother, and we marcha 4 wide out set with Smitty, Perriman, Wallace, and Moore, with Dixon in the backfield........ummm yeah. Good luck opposing D! I love the Judon addition and Weddle is one of my favorite players of all time. I believe the softer part of our schedule is the first half, which is a thing of beauty. I can't wait to play Brady twice this year. Hopefully the second time is in Baltimore. Either way, we'll be more than ready!
