With CTE being a big issue now, especially with the leagues' front office, this is to be expected. Basically they will air on the side of caution to avoid complications. Good move for player safety too, since rushing someone back that is not yet ready can lead to repeated injury and life long issues. Jensen can play LG just fine and IMHO is much better as a run mauler. Let Alex recover fully before throwing him back out there, for his sake and the teams sake in the long run. Stanley they are basically letting him rest and heal as much as possible, so he can play on game day. The boot is definitely more precautionary just to play things safe and possibly keep opponents guessing at who they will be facing.
If you're right about Stanley, that would be terrific to say the least. I don't know how you say that with such confidence though unless you have some inside information. I agree though, sounds like Lewis has been struggling as a run blocker. If we get better oline run blocking + Dixon back, our run game should get exponentialy better. Also I fully believe Dixon will take over the lead dog role as soon as he's healthy and gets a chance. In which case I wouldn't mind seeing West as his main back up, while Forsett joins Hester in returning some kicks. A Dixon-West combo would just punish opponents not to mention they both have some explosiveness. With a lot of new pieces and people coming back, I expected the offense to start out slwo until they jive together. I think we'll really be hitting our stride on Offense by the time we meet the Steelers for the first of probably 3 meetings this year. I'm so pumped about this season. We are loaded everywhere
