  1. Such an awful pick. A need pick when he wasn't even the best corner on the board. This guy gets lit up down the field......that will be a good attribute to have vs Brady and Ben. Not to mention we have 3 starting corners locked in already. In this draft, in this Corner class, we take a corner at 16 overall, that I haven't heard one analyst say, and for good reason, has a chance of developing into a number 1 corner. What a joke Devastating but not surprising It really is time for Ozzie to hang it up The drafting continues to go downhill year after year, for many years now, it's killing the Ravens. So much they even admitted it themselves about a month ago. With the players in this draft, I would not even consider Marlon at 47. There are about 7 corners still on the board I prefer much more. Awuzie would've been a killer pick. This sucks
  2. Beef it up with somebody that got torched down the field in COLLEGE??????????
  3. Yeah, it's a very sound pick if you haven't thrown up in your own mouth in a while and forgot what it's like. Devastating.......................but not surprising
  4. No longer be an issue? Why? Cuz we just picked a guy that doesn't have instincts, ball skills, and can't cover down the field? He got torched in multiple games trying to do so. Gave up 18 yards a reception as a starter???? For the 16th pick in this draft? What a joke All because he tested well in underwear at the combine and went to Alabama. Time to step down Ozzie. Now I'm nervous to watch tomorrow instead of excited. Elam Perriman Maxx KC AB These first and second round WHIFFS are killing us. Marlon at SIXTEEN OVERALL better not end up on this list
  5. 100% Foster has too many off field issues - drug use, nightclub shootings, failed drug test, combine, etc. He's more Rolando McClain than CJ Mosely. Allen is a DE in a 4-3. Why would the Ravens draft a pass rushing DE and then put him in our system where DE are asked to cover 2 gaps to stuff the run and not rush the passer? Allen is a DE in a 4-3???? Not True at all. He can play anywhere on the line in any scheme except a true NT
  6. I'm still throwing up in my mouth In THIS DRAFT, we take a cb at 16, that can't cover down the field, doesn't have instincts, or ball skills?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????......................................GENIUS. That's bound to help vs Brady, Ben, and everyone else that throws the ball in the NFL. I wouldn't have taken him in the 2nd round. What a waste. Better corners are still on the board, and will be for a while. It's not like we could've used Foster, or Allen, or Takk, or Harris, or Lamp, or anyone else Devestating, but not surprising
  7. Dude, Weddle and TJ are top 10 Safties in the NFL. Our corners are set at Jimmy, Carr, and Tavon. Webb is a back up, but he'll be on the field when there are 6 dbs out there. He's a great back up. More importantly I expect him to be our sure set of hands as a punt returner. I think he has a little return ability left as well. Especially since he'll be fresh. He might be a great gunner too. Anyone will be better than Aiken.................jeez
  8. Agreed. I'd rather end up with Ju Ju or Davis, but Q would be a nice consolation Yes, can't hurt to have a winner if the price is right. Q is my 3rd favorite athlete of all time. And that was before he became a Raven. His skill set is exactly what we need too. Hopefully he's not still pissed at us for shipping him away after he carried us to a SB. Not to mention it was for like what, a 6th lol. That's insulting. But really, I would love to have him back
  9. Either way it goes we need a game changer on both sides of the ball. We definitely do. I like Davis, Ju Ju, Ross, Williams in that order for wrs. Ross' speed with Flacco's arm is incredibly tempting though. I'm hoping we draft Teez in the 2nd or 3rd I'm not the biggest fan of taking Cook at 16 cuz of flags on and off the field, but he is a playmaker. And taking one at that position would be nice. Trading down and taking him would be nice but I dont see him getting past TB at 19
  10. I actually agree with you. I thought Hue Jackson got the wrong end of the stick in Oakland. He's a damn good coach and has took all the right steps in building a good football team. They are getting rid of the mistakes the previous staff made and are building a team from the trenches outward. That is how you create a competitive football team. If they have a good draft, they will be dangerous within the next year or two. I'm not convinced they go QB in the first round, unless they trade back in late. I think Myles Garrett is the first selection without a doubt. Pick 12 is where it could get interesting.... They very well could go Myles Garrett then pick Rueben Foster if he is there....or a QB.....or a CB. I'm interested to watch that's for sure. If Fournette keeps falling...they could trade up for him to and become a ground and pound team with the line they have created. Seriously. Hue is a very good coach. And they just built a line. Not to mention all their other picks this year and next, but if they add Garret plus Fournette, or Adams, or Howard, they'll be heading in the right direction in a hurry
  11. I like the top one. your ideal draft. Those top 4 picks would be perfect, except I would prioritize getting Eflein in there for our Center for the next 10 years. We need to draft Teez. If Davis isn't there at 16, I would trade down to get that extra pick for Eflein, and make sure I draft Ju Ju. Here's my ideal draft with a trade down out of 16- Forrest Lamp Ju Ju Carl Lawson Teez Eflein Roderick Johnson Then if it were still possible to get Perine, that would be amazing. I haven't really studied Hunt yet at all That would be an INSANE draft class for us Teez and Lawson are top 15 talents imo. Crazy to me how much their stock has fallen over the past month You put a lot of effort into your choices. Good work. Not sure if you're mocking me or not....lol I'm guessing you're serious though. and thank you if that's the case. I'm just used to getting mocked, or my ideas getting picked apart on here, but that is only by a few specific users. I'm glad we all have different opinions. It would be so incredibly boring if we all thought the same thing
  12. To get an idea of how loaded this draft is, go check out the 2013 first round. I would bet there are more quality players and pro bowlers that come out of the THIRD round in this draft
  13. I like the top one. your ideal draft. Those top 4 picks would be perfect, except I would prioritize getting Eflein in there for our Center for the next 10 years. We need to draft Teez. 14. Agreed. We need to come away with him or Ju Ju. I'd say there's about a 1% chance we double dip on both, lol, but that would be a ridiculous tag team going forward for the next 4-5 years at least. Not saying I would do it, but it would be interesting. Perriman isn't making much and is only signed for one more year after this one
  15. I like Judon too, but I still don't see him becoming a full-time player next year. I think we groom him again, and get him a lot of snaps, esp. while giving Sizzle some rest and keeping him fresh. But I'm really thinking we're going to draft someone in the first or second to put opposite Sizzle. Maybe Lawson or Barnett. Then maybe if Suggs retires after this year, Judon will be ready to be a full-time player by year 3, and we can team him up with our high draft pick from this year. Just a thought. I would love it though if Judon just absolutely steps up and forces himself into a full-time role this year. I think it was clear last year though that our pass rush overall was pretty stagnant. For some reason I haven't much love at all for Charles Harris in all of our comments, but I could see him as being a dark horse pick for sure. Talented pass rusher and a lot of people see him as a top 15 talent, even in this draft. He's been very underrated imo. If we took him at 16, or traded back a little and took him, neither would surprise me. Unless Davis or Barnett are there, I hope we trade back. Foster and Lamp are interesting as well. Cook is an interesting playmaker as well, lot of flags on and off the field though. But like you said about the D, I too think we are 1 or 2 pieces away from having THE # 1 D. And that can definitely be taken care of in the draft. Vets are still gonna get cut too. Can't wait for tomorrow. But I honestly think Friday is far more important
  16. I like Anderson too, and Willie McGuinest was saying how he's a straight DAWG. I think he would play the Jerrod Johnson/Upshaw role, better than both of them. The DB thing is going to be interesting for the first 2 days. So many insanely talented corners. We're set at Safety for at least the next 2 years though. Grabbing to King to follow Weddle up would be Epic. We have 3 Very legit corners, and others holes, so I'm really curious when we're going to take our first corner. If we take one at 16, I think it would be a Massive mistake, esp. if it was Humphrey. But that second and third round are going to be interesting. I'm guessing there will be about 12-16 corners picked from the latter part of the first, to the end of the third. I would also say that 80% of them would go in the first round in about every other draft. So I think the value of grabbing one in the second or third is very worth it. Even with other holes. A couple names that I would LOVE to see become Ravens are Sidney Jones, Quincy Wilson, Teez Tabor, and Chidobe Awuzie. I'm looking for Lawson or Ju Ju in the second though depending on where we go in the first. We need to accumulate more picks between 25-100. I'm going to be incredibly upset to say the least if the Steelers take Ju Ju or Awuzie with their first pick.
  17. Agreed. I'd rather end up with Ju Ju or Davis, but Q would be a nice consolation
  18. For sure. that was one of the main positives I was thinking about when we brought him back. I think he still has some punt return ability, but at the very least he's a set of sure hands back there. I've been cringing on every return for years now instead of getting excited for us to make a play. I think Kickoff return duties are a little past him at this point. We might draft someone for that, plus we resigned Keenan today, and we have Camp, and Moore could be interesting as well.
  19. I agree Howard might not be the right move, but what do you say to not having a single reliable te that can block and catch? -Pitta is not durable, cant block, is overrated as a receiver, and handicaps predictability when on the field. -Gilmore and Williams(bust) couldn't even get on the field last year........ -And Watson is old, coming off injury and probably gone - And Waller is nothing And I'm not saying cut anyone besides Watson, or necc. draft Howard, but our TE group went from "being the best in the league"-(Gilmore's genius claim last year), to being sad and completely unreliable. Sizzlingdoom.... I am not as ready to suggest that we don't have a single reliable TE. I agree that we probably don't have a very complete TE (outside of Ben Watson but we don't know what he has left and how healthy he is) We do have a sure handed TE in Pitta who should be a year healthier. We do have a very good TE in Gilmore who can block and has shown the ability to move the chains. I am not ready to give up on him bc he was injured. (Gronk, Julius Thomas, Antonio Gates, Ladarius Green, Eric Ebron, Tyler Eifert, Jimmy Graham, Charles Clay, Vern Davis, and more have all missed significant playing time in their careers and many of them even last season. That don't mean that I wouldn't take any one of them) Gilmore has shown that he has ability but got injured last season. That happens. Lets see if he is healthy and can take the next step. We have every reason to believe that he can. Maxx has ability but his body was not NFL ready and he needed to add strength. He now has two seasons under his belt and his body has changed. I am not sure that I am quite ready to write him off yet either. Waller... showed flashes of high end ability last season and flashes of why he may never live up to his potential... but changing positions is tough / doing it the NFL is crazy. The learning curve is steep and he does have a very high ceiling. This year should mean marked improvement for him as he has a year experience at the new position. Boyle..... TBH he looked better then Gilmore but he is a risk bc of his PED use. If he can stay on the field... he has shown the ability to not just block but move the chains. He will fight for those tough yards and he brings an attitude to that offense. Problem is... with such a full house at TE will he really get a chance ( and without a move to Fullback or Hback- I don't think he will). Just too risky but not a bad player. I think our biggest problem at TE is Joes reliance on the check down and his unwillingness stand in the pocket and go through his progressions. He wants to hurry up and dump the ball off to Pitta. (before Pitta even gets into his routes). This is a QB issue (and probably and OL issue) more then a TE issue. We have weapons and versatility at TE. We have old guys with experience and young guys with ability We have question marks sure but we have depth and I would still rank our TE corps in the top 10 in the NFL. If we are top ten in a position group (and very possibly higher) I not sure that Rd 1 is where you add to that group. Unless your team is stacked and has no other needs. That's not the case with the 2017 Ravens. I'm looking at Barnett, Davis, or a trade down. I would not be mad if we picked Howard though. There are maybe a single handful of tight ends that are difference makers in the NFL. Howard would step in day 1 and be 1. Calling our te core a top 10 one in the NFL is kinda laughable. It has the potential to be very good, but potential is all it's been. All we had on the field last year was an overrated pass catcher who can't block at all, Pitta. Not a real tight end. All the other guys from our "top 10" position group were either, suspended, hurt, "not strong enough"- our second round pick isn't strong enough in his second year in the league. That says something and is incredibly sad. I was excited about our te group last year, then it ended up being one of the very weakest groups on the team and a handicap for the team at that. Just thinking about it if we did go Howard, you still don't have to give up on people. Howard is absurd. Say with our picks we went, Howard, Pass rusher, corner, lineman....and so, and didn't really add a high pick wr. Then, if Gilmore would get his butt on the field, this "2 te" set sounds great.: Wallace and Pitta out wide, with Gilmore and Howard as te's, and Dixon in the backfield (once he gets back). - That would be a dynamic and versatile passing and running set up. All in all, it's not about potential, it's about proving it. And our te group was a serious weak spot on this team last year. "top 10 in a position group"??? Really? Cmon man. And please don't try to back that up with Pitta's check down stats. We all know stats don't tell the true story

  21. I wouldn't say we're in trouble. But with the picks and coach they have, they are in a position to turn things around in a hurry. If they draft really well. We all know that's a huge IF though when it comes to the browns
  22. I agree. 👍 I'm a huge fan of both. I'm just really hoping the Steelers don't take Quincy in the first
  23. The rising Raiders just snagged Beast Mode..........maybe we should draft Foster.......
  25. If Barnett and Davis were healthy for the pre draft process, they would both be top 10 locks. That fact that one could slip to us is amazing. Talk about BPA meets need
