Now that Sidney is out of the running for 16, this is a quick thought for our first few picks. Trade down out of 16. Trade back up in the second round as well. Twice. Could've been an option if we didn't sign Jefferson. I think there is about a 1% chance we take him now. We're set at the Safety position for years, And Peppers is too small to play LB in the NFL. He would have to add 25lbs to even be a small ILB. I agree though, he was a leader at the combine.

That was a huge blow indeed. Just when I though we were set at ILB for years, poor Orr goes down. Il throw you a curve ball.... Theres this kid from Alabama called Ruben Foster that was considered the best linebacker in the nation pre combine. none of the mocks had him falling past 15. Then this kid got into an argument at a hospital and sent home before the combine. Soooo..... Ozzie has enough connections at Alabama to know if this was a one time thing or if this guy is a nut. Well he's certainly a headless chicken on the field and would solve or ILB search for years if we land him. If Ozzie thinks he's worth keeping on our board then I would not be surprised at all if Ozzie takes him. Just his play on the field makes him a top 5 talent. Remember how Mosley just came in and balled. I'd argue this guy may be even better than Mosley was coming out of college. Ruben Foster is a great pick but l believe it more important in the draft is either a Passrusher like Derek Barnett or a corner. We actually can find the perfect replacement for Orr right now with "Zach Brown" still available. I'm surprise he still on the market. The guy is underrated and made the Pro Bowl last year. The guy is a tackling machine made 149 tackles, 4 sacks, a 1 pick and he's good in coverage. He will make our defense more scarier. Wow. 100% agree with everything you just said. I'm thinking Barnett then a corner in the 2nd, or vise versa so to speak. But I'm losing it thinking how perfect Zach Brown is to fill a huge hole for us! As lights out as Orr was last year, I sincerely believe Brown would be an upgrade vs the run and pass. If we added Barnett, Brown, and a corner in the second, I have a hard time thinking we wouldn't be the number 1 D the whole year, by a decent gap too. That would include setting NFL run defense records. Adding Brown and Jefferson over Webb and Orr vs the run would be large upgrades. Our defense would be a wall. Weddle would literally be the worst tackler in the starting lineup, which says something. We've gotta sign Brown!!!!

Good pick up. If he's healthy he'll help us in multiple ways. Not too many straight hand offs, but he'll be in there for catches out of the back field, screens, he can line up as a wr anywhere, and I hope we give him a chance to contribute and team up with Camp in the return game. Stupid. But I don't think it's worth investing a high pick on a back for 4 games. West can hold it down for 4 games. We don't need a high pick taking away from Dixon's time when he comes back. Especially considering Dixon is probably better. There are only a couple of backs that are more talented in this draft than Kennith imo

I have a feeling they are going to go with KC to play next to Mosley. We don't have the money to sign Brown anyways. Imo there's absolutely no way we can go with and rely on a player from Boise State that was 2nd rounder, and not even good enough to play ST for us last year. Or start when we needed him. I think everybody from here on out views it as a bonus if he contributes at all. Sometimes the FO misses on high picks, and this was probably another unfortunately. It's been happening a bit lately and needs to stop. We do have the money to sign Zach. He's a mlb and not a high profile one at all. He won't cost much. Not to mention we should really save a bit of money by cutting Arrington, Zuttah, and Watson. Should've cut PItta too. We can get it done if we want to. I hope they somehow can. If the Ravens can only choose one more free signing either Zach Brown, Mangold, or Claiborne; l would choose Zach Brown. Perfect replacement for Zach Orr. He would even be an upgrade in run defense over Orr too. I would chose Brown out of the 3 too. I wouldn't even take Claiborne for free. I really hope we don't sign him We really should cut Arrington, Watson, and Zuttah too. We can make it happen if we want to. It makes too much sense. Gotta do it

Yup, all about the corners! You are correct. I also expect a lot from Jimmy this year, and I expect him to stay healthy. But obviously we know we can't rely on that. At least everyone better know that. But if you compare the Webb/Weddle vs Jefferson/Weddle....it's not even close imo. Not even close to being close. And I know we should just all wait and see, but I'm so stoked. Amazing job by Weddle and the FO. Tony will be a fan favorite after week 1. But like you're saying. We have to add a legit #1 corner to the other 4 secondary members, then the group will be absolutely elite. I think we take one in round 1, or round 2 at the latest. As much as I hate to say it, I'm really starting to see trading back as not only a likely option, but a good one depending on what we can get. Our roster is still crazy talented, and a top 3 AFC roster imo, but we have a couple holes to fill. Trade back in the first to pick up a couple extra picks Select TraDevious White CB TJ Watt OLB- pass rusher Ju Ju Smith- big tough chain mover and red zone threat Oline and BPA the rest of the way after that and I think we're playing NE in the Championship game for sure

Really? Cmon Man. If we add a legit corner and even a situational pass rusher, our D can take down anyone. Jefferson will be in the box most of the time, so they play different positions, but in essence Tony is replacing Webb. I don't think our fans have any idea yet about what that's going to do for our D yet. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he makes the all pro team playing in the middle of our defense. Sign Zach Brown Draft a corner and a pass rusher and our D is more than back
