  1. Me too!!!!! Only if we could add Mangold or Zach Brown to add to that! So much talent between picks 20-60 this year. I really hope we chose more than once in the second. Whatever it takes to do so. I also love the Carr signing. I think I would've puked on all my Ravens gear if we signed Claiborne instead. Say we sign Zach Brown. Here are 4 names that will probably all go in the second. And they all look like Ravens to me. I know there's about 1% chance we choose 4 times in the second, but here's my dream scenario. Trade out of 16 and the first to get maybe an extra 2nd and 3rd. Also trade up to the second twice, leaving no first round picks, and 4 second round ones. I know it's a bit crazy, but I really think it would benefit us. So sign Brown. In the 2nd draft Ju Ju Smith wr- EXACTLY what we need Carl Lawson- nasty edge rusher with grit and power Ethan Pocic- Big awesome Center for years Chidobe Awuzie- 6 foot tough and excellent corner that could play inside and out. He's also gotten completely lost in this year corner class. That would leave us with one "hole" on the whole team. A left Guard, or Right Tackle, depending on where Lewis is gonna play. The second round is going to be more interesting to watch this year than the first imo. So many legit first rounders will go in the second. Whoever put a "minus" on this...I agree! LOL it's too crazy. I put my new ideal draft on the Charles Harris Page
  2. I like Charles Harris, but I'm pretty sure I like Carl Lawson more. Not to mention is looks pretty clear at this point that he'll be taken a bit later than Harris. Can't help but think about the draft, so here's my ideal draft. Dig it, or pick away it, all opinions welcomed. It includes a trade with the Raiders- not sure if the trade value is right but I'm guessing it would be something similar to this- Ravens get picks #24, #56, and # 129 Raiders get picks #16 (maybe we need to throw in a 5th or 6th as well) Ravens 2017 Draft pick # 24 Ryan Ramczyk -OT- Best in this class pick # 47 Carl Lawson -edge setter and rusher- impactful 3 down player imo pick # 56 Ju Ju Smith -PLEASE! wr - Exact type we need pick # 78 Sidney Jones -Cb pick # 99 Ethan Pocic -Center Boom. We're set. We would still have 2 4th rounders as well. I'd probably be looking for a speed rb/returner, and another corner with those picks. I think it's pretty doubtful at this point that we'll sign Zach Brown. You never know though. Regardless, I think the spot we're looking to fill won't be hard to fill. Especially for the Ravens. It will be a position that will just be surrounded by studs in every direction. It's also possible Patrick Onwausor or KC-(kinda doubt KC is) are ready to step into that role. Jefferson can definitely a LB role in certain packages too. So I think filling that spot next to Mosely is the least of our worries. Teams are still going to cut vets too. It'd be nice if a cheap steal became available. The SSS pick up was unreal. Too bad we couldn't send him out in style. I sincerely believe this would make us absolutely and completely set. Without giving up any future picks too. Go Raven!
  3. I agree. I would love to move back 5-10 spots and take him. While grabbing maybe an extra second and fourth. So much first round talent going in the second round this year. Ju Ju Smith is exactly what we need now, and to pair with Perriman for the future. In any other draft, this would sound pretty ridiculous, but I'm hoping we can get 3 immediate starters/impact players by the end of round 2 this year. And that "Doom role" qualifies as a starter role imo. It's a crucial one. A couple examples would be pick 24: Charles Harris pick 47: Ju Ju Smith pick 56: Chidobe Awuzie pick 19: Ryan Ramczyk pick 47: Carl Lawson pick 50: Ju Ju Smith Then add Ethan Pocic in the third in either scenario and boom, our team is ready to take down anyone Either way, I think it's pretty clear we're going to add some defense/pass rusher pretty high in the draft. I think us fans are in for a treat next year when it comes to the Defense
  4. We have a couple thirds. This draft is going to be super interesting, and nobody knows how its going to shake out. But I wouldn't mind trading back from 16, to not only pick someone of similar value 10 picks later, but to pick up an extra pick or two so we can grab Sidney in the second. I wouldn't mind if we didn't even get to use him til next year. But the playoffs this year are still like what, 9 months away or so? Such a bummer that happened to him. He was my favorite corner in the draft by far. Whether we took him in the second or third, I hope he ends up wearing purple and black. Medicine is getting better and better. Who knows
  5. interesting you know how much we would pay him. I knew you were on the inside with all your knowledge. Plus, it doesn't imply that at all. It might imply that we have 5 other tight ends. And a second rounder that needs to hit the field, in addition to Boyle, Gilmore, and Pitta. Who knows if they'll keep trying with Waller. Watson is coming off an Achilles and will be 37 before the season's over. Think it through, it's not that hard.
  6. I like this guy. If he's able to add 10-15 pounds of functional strength, look out. I feel ya with the raw Sizzle comparison. I think 16 would be a little rich for me, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's off the board before 16 too. No way he makes it to day 2
  7. not too far fetched at all. That would be interesting. I like that. I also wouldn't mind seeing Corey Davis in place of Williams and Chidobe Awuzie in place of Moreau
  8. I'm a big Desmond King fan as well.

  10. I don't think the Ravens would go for a Receiver in the first round again so soon. They Don't want to end up like the Detroit Lions did and Draft WR's every year in the first round and then turn into a Joke. Considering they've never provided a true # 1 for Joe, it's about time.
  11. Awuzie looks really versatile and underrated. Tough kid that can play inside and outside. I think that would be a terrific 2nd round pick if he's still there. Though I'm really hoping we Ju Ju Smith in the 2nd if we don't take a wr in the first. There are about 4 positions I wish we would go between the first and second round which is tough- Pass Rush, Wr, CB, and Center I would love it if we traded up in the second round to take at least 2 2nd round picks. Especially considering at least half of the second rounders this year would normally go in the first in most drafts. I really don't think there's much of a drop off between picks 20-50 or 60 this year. Here are 4 names. I really hope we draft at least 2 of them Ju Ju Smith Chidobe Awuzie Ethan Pocic Barnett
  12. The deep ball is nice. If Flacco remembers how to throw it. But we still undeniably need a 3rd down, move the chains, red zone target kinda guy. Perriman and Wallace are not even close to being that guy. At all. And relying on Moore to be that guy would be silly. We do need oline, but maybe only one of them if we add Mangold or a different FA. I think Ju Ju Smith is exactly what we need, and would be a perfect compliment to Perriman for years to come. We pick at 47, and I have a feeling he'll go between picks 40-50. If we don't get that type of wr, the Entire world will know Joe is throwing the ball to Pitta on 3rd and 7. Probably 5 yards short of the sticks too.
  13. John Ross looks like more than just a deep threat.........making him a Raven would be super interesting. Especially if he returned kicks at all
  14. Of course it is early, however my best guess right now is McClellan, Davis and Judon in that order. But there are many who can step in, the hardest to replace is Orr. It would be nice to get an update on C. Davis. M. Williams and B. Kafusi too. We havent heard their names in a while. agreed
  15. So you have us drafting six players AND simultaneously trading up multiple times? Yeah that's an obvious no. you're an obvious no. then again we all know that
  16. Really?........really? Guy made BWill look good...........O....OK
  17. Some very nice and thorough thoughts, pleasant to read! And wow did you get me pumped up for 2017! lol All in all I think you might be right. I do not share your big optimism regarding C or WR position however. I really don't see Jensen being able to handle C, let alone be an upgrade to Zuttah, who was mediocre. I've never been a huge fan of Jensen as a player, but who knows, maybe he will be the next player who comes into his own in his last year and plays himself out of our price range at LG. I sure hope so, that would allow us to move Lewis to RT and we'd only need a C and some depth to finish up the O-line. Still, don't think Jensen will be good enough of a starter. As to WR, I was disappointed that we did not sign any of the vets out there when I saw how little they got paid. 5M for relatively sure pickups in either Marshall or Garcon would have gone a long way for us. Now, whatever we do it will be a huge question mark until we play a significant game come September. We might be off great with inhouse talents and drafted additions, but considering our history of drafting underachieving WRs and bad luck with injuries at the position, I don't see our WR core being in a great shape. Definitely not good enough to carry us deep into the playoffs, if it should come to that. Marty must get mighty creative with his weapons and Flacco must find a way to play well enough to help out his inexperienced WRs, something he has never been able to do. But with the rest of it I agree, especially regarding defense. Gotta give it to Oz and the rest of the FO, they've pieced together the perfect FAs on defense that fir perfectly to what we're trying to do on defense. Now a disrupting pass rusher and a starter at MLB and we're set. Everything on from there will be just quality depth. lol, same here. Mostly post from work on slower days. I'm following the best team in NFL from the other end of the globe, though. Making it to a Ravens game would be awesome! Bummed that I can't make it to the Ravens game in UK, but one day... Lol. We'll both make it to a game someday. I hear you in terms of worrying about the Center and Wr position. A couple things on that. I wish we would've traded for Marshall. But we didn't. So. I would love it if we took Ju Ju Smith in the 2nd. Looks like exactly what we need imo. Corey Davis would also seem to fix that wr issue. Another user also just brought to my attention that Ross might be more than a one trick pony. I doubt we take him, but he looks crazy good, and not a just a one trick pony at all. He might be a star, and quick. He's a little bigger than Desean Jackson and Antonio Brown too, I wouldn't have guessed that from film. So those could be 3 great wr options in the draft. I'm not the biggest fan of Williams, but it would probably be silly to pass on him at 16. Also, as we're starting to see top tier offensive lines dominate games and seasons more these past few seasons, I think it's possible the FO takes Lamp or Freeney or someone. Maybe later in the first after trading down and getting another pick for another hole. A lot of people think those 2 will be pro bowl type of stuff from day 1 for any interior offensive line position. The LSU and Ohio State Centers could be options as well, maybe in the second. Mangold could still be an option as well. We're not the best at 2nd roundish picks. Which scares me. Despite that, I don't care how we do it, but I really wish we would choose 2 or 3 times in the second round this year. I feel like the players that will go between 30-55 in this draft, could easily go in the first round in most drafts. Deep and interesting draft class. Not too many guys I'm nuts about at 16, but there are so many people I would love for the team that will probably go between 24-45. I'll keep it shorter this time. But good chattin. I'm stoked for the draft. Plus I'm about to get off my work shift, yes!
  18. Carr is not expected to be our #1 corner. Obviously. Even right now, before the draft, if Jimmy went down during the year, Carr could still stay at number 2. Tavon proved he could cover anyone last year. He ran with Antonio Brown down the Field, and he lined up face to face vs Eifert on the 5 yard line, while giving up 9 inches. And stopped him during a jump ball toss for a TD. Carr is a solid corner and what we needed. He will easily look much better on our D than he did with Dallas. Really glad we signed him. And I'm not saying he's supposed to be the same player as they would be, but now we're not cornered into taking a CB in the first or second if it doesn't work out that way. Myself and many others believe our secondary will truly be elite now, and all 5 members should be here for at least 2 more years. So spending the #16 pick on something other than a corner would be the wisest thing now imo. We have a couple other big holes. Great move FO. Not to mention it's only a 1 or 2 year deal if we want. And for all of you that wanted Claiborne- bringing in a guy that literally spends more time in the tub than he does on the field, and isn't even a stud when he is on the field? That sounds like a good idea............. Corners are already dropping likes flies in this amazing corner class too, and there's still almost a month and a half til the draft. Sidney Jones down. Jourdan Lewis might have just taken himself off of many draft boards. Finish FA off with Mangold, Zach Brown, or both, and I'll be counting down the days til the draft
  19. He is 5'10-11 but guess what, TY Hilton and AB are in that range and kill defenses on a regular basis. Speed kills and so does great route running. Those are two huge things we need. Perriman is fast and a big target, but he has shaky hands and abysmal route running abilities. Ross has fast acceleration as well with great routes I've watched his highlights a few times before. But i just watched them again, taking some things that you said into account. Before I was thinking he was just a one trick deep threat. But it looks like he might be quite a bit more. Very interesting. I wouldn't mind if we took him. Especially if he returned kicks too. Might be an awesome sleeper pick. I'm kinda wondering if he makes it to 16. He's a little bigger than Desean and Antonio. I wouldn't have guessed that
  20. He is 5'10-11 but guess what, TY Hilton and AB are in that range and kill defenses on a regular basis. Speed kills and so does great route running. Those are two huge things we need. Perriman is fast and a big target, but he has shaky hands and abysmal route running abilities. Ross has fast acceleration as well with great routes I doubt we take Ross. Thinking about it strictly from a speed standpoint though, Perriman, Wallace, and Ross would be outrageous. I love the way Ross tracks the ball in the air too. The mismatches that could be created with those 3 wrs on the field at the same time......and Jamal Charles in the backfield........... :)
  21. I think he has a lot of positive traits, but you have to remember he is really young still and a lot of his problems relates to coachable technique. When he is in zone or keeps the play in front of him, he is a stud. He just needs improving on opening up too early. Would be a solid pick between 15-20 One trait that I really like to watch with corners is how they react when the ball's in the air. I agree he has a lot of technique that can be coached. But he got beat deep a lot and kinda panics when the ball is in the air going deep at all. I may be wrong, but I wouldn't take in til the 2nd. But I think teams will fall in love with his measurables, and he might even go top 12. I don't think there's anyways we take him at 16 now with Carr.
  22. JAMAL CHARLES........... that would be interesting
  23. Taking the place of Juice's duties. He's not taking Juices' place. He's not even close to being a fb
  24. Yea your right saying he only had one good season is an exaggeration. I think 3 years 20 mil is probably a good estimate of what it would take to pick him up. Brown already played on a 1 year prove it deal (he proved it). He's going to demand a 4-5 year deal at $8+ million per....too rich for the Ravens I highly doubt he gets anything close to that. More like 5-6 a year for 2-4 years imo
  25. Well there really aren't any top notch CBs or top notch pass rushers that actually hit FA these days. Those are players you draft, not players you sign as FAs. Exactly. And when those players do hit the market they usually get overpaid by about 20%. That's why we've "struggled" for years now. Picking decent players is one thing, but when we miss 100% with high picks like we've done, you can't hide from it. Can't imagine how much worse we would've been recently without 2 lucky additions of Weddle and Smitty
