For the Ravens to release him, there must be something going on behind the scenes, like we're on the verge of getting another center, perhaps.

Supposedly, it's a great draft for a corner. We need one of those. And we need our recent draft picks to pick it up and contribute, and not just near the end of their 5-year timeframe.

Maybe the coaches are failing to light a fire underneath these players. Don't wait to be great. The time is now.

The Ravens do a great job of developing players who reach their full potential just as they become free agents. I do hope that we can draft more players who can make an immediate impact. We have some, but we need more.

There's no doubt that our QB needs to improve. I think he was doing the equivalent of putting his foot in the bucket when the pass rush got to be too much for him. He did that a. lot. Our offensive line needs to help and we need a run game.

Don't listen to him. He's trying to kill us with kindness. Don't fall for that stuff. Go out and plaster him.

Dallas is very good. I think that the Ravens can do this, but they will have to play mistake-free football for all four quarters. And the offense will need to click.

The offense needs to get off the snide and get it done.

Put Mallett in. Maybe he can give the team a spark and light a fire under certain players.

We might have a chance in this game if we can run the football and not abandon the run. We can't just let Flacco stand back there with a target plastered on his uniform.

I did see the feedback loop. And I'm familiar with those. But I wanted to actually hear the details.

I'd much rather hear what Urschel had to say.

It was too hard to watch yesterday. Give the guy some time! In order to throw the ball downfield, more time is required. Defensive ends are tremendous athletes these days. We need tackles and guards who can match that sort of athleticism.

Defenses seem to be loading the box. We need to open up with passes to loosen it up for the run. We've been too lethargic on offense. Trust Flacco's arm, then run.

Can't wait to see Permian. I hope that the young man doesn't get too excited and mess his knee up. Just a short hook pattern for his first catch. Ease into it, young man.

Linebacker pass coverage was definitely an issue last year. I can't count how many times tight ends burned us with crossing routes. And the pass rush didn't help. We need a much better pass rush to cut down the time the QB can sit back and pick us apart. That will help the linebacker pass coverage.

I am very surprised that Flacco is not on the list. Given that his injury occurred in November and he tore an ACL and MCL, it would seem like he should be on the PUP list until mid season. Even Jordy Nelson is on the PUP list and he tore his ACL in preseason.

Actually, I think John Harbaugh did a terrific job last year managing the team given all of the injuries. It could have easily fallen apart, but the team stuck together and competed. As a result, we lost a lot of close games. I find it hard to imagine that we'll have the same devastating injuries this year. The probabilities are against it. I think we'll be a lot better than the experts think.

It doesn't surprise me that he's retiring, actually.

The OL is the most important component on the offense because they protect our QB and block during runs. Duh, right? But seriously, the most important.

Ravens, offer 4 years at 18 million total, making him the highest paid kicker in he NFL.

I think we're rolling the dice on the offensive line. Can a rookie left tackle, however high a draft pick, really be ready by the start of the season? Even Jonathan Ogden didn't play left tackle his first season. We have a QB with a serious knee injury on the mend and we don't want to subject him to a blind side hit. And what about the left guard position? Is Urschel the answer? Maybe try the rookie Alex Lewis? Questions remain.

It's terrible news for the young man and the team. I hope that his examination goes as well as can be expected and that he comes back stronger. It's not on him.

What does anybody know this time of year? Nothing. Last year at this time, folks had us going to Super Bowl. We know what happened. Nobody can predict injuries, nobody. Nobody can measure a man's heart. And who knows when Flacco will come back from injury or how our offensive line will be. Lot's of unknowns.

Should not wear number 19. In fact, the entire NFL should retire that number.
