  1. Thanks. It seems like they could've made it easier to reply. oh well.
  2. Did it work?
  3. Did it work?
  4. @Dewy, I agree with your last statement. However, I think we should get Smith AND draft a WR in either the first or second. We should resign Daryl Smith but we don't need Chris Clemons, plus I think Clemons was already picked up if I'm not mistaken. I disagree with the idea that the money would be better spent on our d though. Our offense was ridiculously bad last year. I would love to have Mack, but I think we would have to pay around 10 mil a year for him. That is insane for a Center.
  5. @stone4, I think 2-3 years is realistic for Smith. There is nothing wrong with that. I believe we are still a Championship quality team. I think the defense will continue to improve with Jimmy Smith continuing to progress, Webb should be 100% next year, Elam being switched to his natural position, and the rest of the new players from last year should improve just by having a year to get to know the system. A replenished offense with a fresh start under Kubiak could be great. Steve Smith would be highly motivated to win a SB because he is a very passionate player and knows his window is closing. If Kubiak can make Schaub look like an elite QB, just think what he could do with Flacco. Smith instantly upgrades our offense in my opinion.
  6. @Stone4, We don't really need anymore young receivers though. Torrey is young, Marlon is young, and we will probably take a rookie in either the 1st or 2nd. We are missing the Veteran receiver to help guide our young receivers. You have to have a balance of youth and veterans. Its pointless to go after young players that are average just because they are young. Everything in the NFL is an "IF". Its all one big gamble.
  7. @ravensnj Yeah I don't think he played much last year. If I'm not mistaken, i think he was injured. Not positive though. Hopefully he pans out though cause he seems like a great guy. Im really interested to see what Kapron Lewis-Moore can do after sitting out his rookie year with a torn ACL. He could be a very nice surprise next year.
  8. @stone4 Because Nicks is injury prone. I don't think James Jones is good. In my opinion he is a very average player that benefited from Aaron Rodgers. His stats were never even that good even with Rodgers. And Sanders? Don't even know where to begin on him. He is not even CLOSE to Steve Smith. His best season was 740 yds with 6 TDs. This was last year when the Steelers had almost nobody to through to. Plus none of these guys have the veteran leadership that Steve Smith does. I think Steve Smith would be an infinitely better signing than any of the available FA WR's.
  9. @stone4 pitta and monroe have nothing to do with are WR's. Jones is not a great receiver and in my opinion never will be. Outside of Smith, we have no proven WR's. I love Marlon Brown but he is still not a proven reliable receiver yet. I don't think we should gamble a whole season on him or a rookie to be a leading receiver. We have no veteran leadership in our WR group other than Smith and he isn't really a "veteran". I think we should draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd and sign Steve Smith.
  10. can someone tell me how to reply to someone with their post inside my post. i can't seem to figure out how
  11. @ravensnj We drafted B williams last year. He has a lot of potential. I think signing Wilfork would be great for ngata. He could play limited snaps at D end during running downs with Wilfork at N tackle. That would keep him fresh for playing passing downs. I think this would make our pass rush almost unstoppable with suggs and dumerville at olb and canty and Deanglo Tyson or Lewis-Moore or Williams or whoever else we decide to replace Art with. Then a fresh and rested Ngata at N tackle. This is just my opinion though. I love debating football with others though, so please let me know your opinions.
  12. @ravensnj, I think it would be better if he didn't play 3 downs. He was never a pass rusher. Im not 100% sure but I think he always had a great work ethic. If not, i don't see BB keeping him on the pats for 10 seasons. I don't think the comparison to Haynesworth is not accurate. I think he would instantly upgrade our run d. I have no idea what kind of money he is asking for, but I think he would be a great addition to our d line.
  13. It would be awesome if we picked up Wilfork (for the right price of course). One of my favorite non ravens (along with Steve Smith) in the league. One of the few Patriots that I like.
  14. If the comments about Graham are true, I think we should go after Steve Smith and draft either Clinton-Dix or Pryor (I would prefer Clinton-Dix but either one would be nice) in the 1st, and then go after Lamarcus Joyner in the 2nd to replace Graham. Joyner could play the slot corner spot and he can play Safety. What do you guys think?
  15. What do you guys think about Lamarcus Joyner?. He could add depth to our secondary. Play slot CB or S. I think he is projected in the 2nd round. A OT, TE, or WR in the first with Joyner in the 2nd sounds like a great start to me. The only knock on him is his height.
