As messed up as it is, I'm not completely bummed Jones got hurt. He'll recover and still make his career. However, without the injury, there was no way he was slipping to us at 16. He would've gone a few picks before us and it would've been Marcus Peters all over again. Now we can draft him in the second, or get insanely lucky and grab him in the third

I wish we could draft him in the third but if he's still there with our second round pick, l think we should draft him with our second round pick if the Ravens really interested. I think it's too risky to wait to draft him in the third imo. Drafting him in the third would be huge though if somehow he slips to that round.

Ladarius Webb is 31 years old and this year draft is consider deep in secondary talent. No team is going to rush to sign him at the moment and probably want to wait until after the draft so they can get him cheaper. Corey Graham is the same age as Webb and to my understanding he played quite well at the safety position and he's still a free agent. Other guys like Jonathan Hankins,Perry Riley, Gerald Hodges,Jared Odrick,Erik Walden,  and are good player that are still free agents.

I wouldn't mind getting Corey Graham back. He could provide us corner and safety depth. That's another great idea but they likely will sign Webb instead.

Webb coming back at a reduced salary is a huge addition.  Really helps out depth and versatility.

    Cornerbacks - Smith, Young, Carr

    Safeties - Weddle, Jefferson

    Hybrid S/CB - Webb

That is a pretty darn good core.  Plus add in whoever we likely draft in the first 3 rounds, a combination of young talent (Canady/Daniel/Price/Rolle) and a vet (one of Arrington or Powers most likely on a vet minimum deal)

I have yet to see anything on Dumervil out there since he was cut.  Would it be crazy for him to return on a vet minimum type deal with NLTBE incentives for sacks?

In an ideal world we re-sign Webb & Dumervil for vet minimum type deals, get Mangold & Dunlap for $2-3M a year over 2-3 years to stretch out the cap him.  We ready to draft with no glaring holes.

Imagine having Sidney Jones in the mix. Jimmy Smith, Brandon Carr, Tavon/Sidney in the slot; Jefferson & Weddle as safeties alone with Webb as safety depth. Secondary is be shaping up to be pretty good. 👍

  4. Even though its not the sexiest pick i wouldn't mind picking up a OT in the first. Secure the line for Joe so he can do his thing. Get back to the ground and pound attack with the play action.

Thats a dark horse pick. Not an excited pick as though we could find one in the later rounds as Ozzie is good at, but it could help. I'm hoping for either Barnett, Mike Williams, Corey Davis, or Reuben Foster. Either of those those 4.

Mangold wasn't the same player last 2 seasons. Football players don't become better players with age. I'm not a fan of Elflein. Harbaugh and oz want to get stronger on the offensive line. Elflein is a good college player without the traits of Top NFL player. He could be a functional center but nothing to write home. Not really an upgrade over Urschel and Jensen. Similar to peter Konz. Good college player that didn't have traits of elite pro

There are the only two options, unless you want to trade for a center. Nick Mangold may not be that he once was, but he's a upgrade over Urschel and Jenson that's for sure.

hope we don't get mangold and we will live to regret not getting anything for TJ he was worth more than 25 spots in the 3rd so don't say we got a 3rd rounder for him because we didn't we took another loss just like zuttah

Zuttah will cost us some penalties this year, and as for Jernigan, l wish we could got their 3rd or swap picks and a extra 4th. l didn't like it at first, but trading up 20 picks is huge in this draft. We wasn't going to be able to afford Jernigan anyway. Either sign Mangold or draft Elflein would do.

You don't care about a short week because you aren't the one playing. The "I don't care" mantra of another fan that thinks the players owe it to them just because they root for the team. SMH

Is y'all actually arguing about a time of a game? C'mon now. If "Tdot" like having MNF, SNF, or TNF games, then he likes them. I like them too. What's wrong having a opinion of who he want to face in those prime time games?

4 picks in the 1st 80, No reason not to walk away with minimum 3 Starters of 4, and I would even say 4 starter caliber players w/ 4 top 80 picks.

    Preferably like this.
Round 1- Franchise Pass Rusher Barnett,TakMcKinley,Harris,Etc

Round 2- CB Tred.White,G.Conley, Kevin King, Tankersely,Tabor etc

    Round 3 2 picks Offense-Schuster,Westbrook,Dupree, Kupp, etc

Round 4&5 OL Dan Skipper, McDermott, Zach Banner, Orlovsky

Round 1. Ryan Ramczyk -T- Wisc

    Round 2. Tm Williams- OLB-Bamma

    Round 3. Ju Ju Smith-Schuster- WR-USC

    Round 3. Cam Sutton- CB-Tenn

Round 4. De De Westbrook -WR-Okla

    Round 5. Ejuan Price- OLB-Pitt

Round 6. Levon Myers-OT- Northern Illinois

    R1- M.Williams
    R2- P.Elflein
    R3- R.Anderson
    R3- S.Jones
    R4- Z.Banner
    R5- Bug Howard
    R6- Greg Pyke

Man l'll will be pumped up if our draft was like this. I also wouldn't mind having Derek Barnett in the first, Juju Smith in the second, Elflien in the third (if he makes it) and Sidney Jones in the third as well. That would be a dream draft. 👍

By going back we get extra 4th or 5th pick. So it won't be the same like we re at 99.

If Ozzie trade back 4 or 5 spots in the 3rd round then it's fine but if they trade back almost to they were at 99, then the Jernigan deal feels like it effect us more than gaining value.

I hate this move. It'll be even more painful when we trade back, and back, and back, and back, to get a handful of 6th and 7th rounders that won't even make the team.

If this is Ozzie strategy, then the Jernigan trade would be a waste because you be almost going back to the same position which we were before the trade. Ozzie should not trade back in the 3rd round or this trade is a waste.

Man, some of y'all really support every single thing this FO does. It's okay to disagree with a move and still be a fan.

LOL true. I don't agree on everything that the front office does. This is 50-50 to me. Rmcjacket probably always does. 👍

What if say... a guy like Elflein is available at 74 and wouldn't have been at 99 and moving Jernigan is the difference between us landing a franchise C for the next 10 years or picking a backup CB or something.

This move will be judged on how Pierce/Henry play and what we get at 74. Period.

I guess it does favors us to get the player we wanted early but the Eagles wouldn't mind waiting a couple of spots. 😅

There seem to be schedule-related wishes we have been coming to expect - secretly knowing they won't come true... These include:

    - A home MNF game
    - An MNF game v the steelers
    - A Week#17 game v the steelers
    - NO Week#17 road game in Cincinatti

I hope that at least the positive "custom" of getting a mid-schedule bye won't be broken.

I hope they gives us the Browns in Week 17 at home so it makes it a little easier for ourselves.

There's no way Lattimore falls to us, I don't even know why they even asked that guy lol. Wouldn't mind us getting a big WR instead of John Ross, not really sold on him. Hope Reuben Foster slips down to us, unlikely but he would fit right in, then we can slide Correa to the OLB slot where he is more comfortable

I also like the idea of drafting Reuben Foster and have Correa as OLB as well. But after the draft, if we don't draft Reuben Foster and he's still on the open market by then, Zach Brown could be another slide in player that Ozzie could take a look at. 👍

The Dolphins wanted to sign Brown but he wanted too much money. When the Miami Dolphins think a player is asking for too much, you can bet that he is out of the Ravens price range.

That being said, I hope so much that we can draft Reuben Foster.

Zach Brown has signed with the Redskins, it would be a blessing if Foster slid to us...but if not im sure we will be fine, Ozzie will think of something

Zach Brown only signed a one year deal. This is horrible. We could afford that. It was a one-year deal worth up to $4.65M. All well.

It would be a coup to land Derek Barnett, Corey Davis, or Mike Williams. I don't anticipate them being around at 16, but stuff happens. All it takes id for perhaps 2 curve balls early in the draft and someone gets a steal. That said, practically speaking, I'm not sold on John Ross. He has the speed, but is a raw route runner with questionable hands. If they don't have veteran in place (or at least a plan to nab one before preseason) then I'd prefer they take Christian McaCaffery who plays like a Raven, has a high football IQ and would be a day one starter as a utility player. Despite being RB, he tried out as a WR at his Pro Day Best part is that he's looking like a early to mid-20 overall pick (high 2nd round at worst) so I think they could trade back to get him and land another pick or two.

If Mike Williams gets close to our pick and he's dropping, some team will probably trade up before we pick. It's possible l could see Corey Davis or Derek Barnett be there. I like the Derek Barnett pick in the first if Mike Williams and Corey Davis aren't there and JuJu Smith could be a good pick in the the 2nd if we draft Derek Barnett, and corner in the 3rd. I don't like the pick of John Ross in the first, he seem like a bust to me idk. Not saying that his name would mean he is a bust, but his name reminds me of Tandon Doss Iol. We kinda of need big recievers and John Ross is 5-11. He does have some questionable hands sometimes. John Ross could be a good in the 2nd if JuJu Smith isn't there.
