  1. This is spot on correct. Flacco has always been this way. Derrick Mason got so frustrated with him one game in Carolina that he literally assaulted him on the field. How many times have you seen that? Not excusing mason's actions, but it was telling. Ed Reed knew what Flacco was about too and called him out. Look, Flacco got hot at the right time. Even in that Super Bowl year, we lost 3 of our last 5 games. Cam Cameron was fired. Joe got hot in the playoffs (it was great) and then its been right back to the same old average QB play. He's never been a Pro Bowl player. In 9 years. That says something.
  2. As the field gets shorter, the QB has to make really quick decisions and make reads in tight traffic. Joe doesn't improved or make quick decisions. He has real limitations and it is affecting the team and has been for awhile. He can't put a complete game together after all these years. So inconsistent. So many do nothing but make excuses for him. He hasn't lived up to his contract - his play since the Super Bowl (that was 3 years ago) hasn't been anything special at all. That inconsistent and middling QB play with a fat contract? That's the Ravens biggest problem.
  3. Changes are coming. The team (the offense) is getting booed off the field now AT HOME. If the offense doesn't produce and we keep losing this will get worse I'm afraid. I remember years ago this happened when Boller was the QB. The offense was getting booed off the field all the time and the fans cheered when Boller got hurt. Things are headed in this direction again - it feels the same. I don't remember fans loving Boller. They couldn't stand Boller.
  4. And Amen again. Sami calls it like it is and isn't delusional. I'm a Ravens fan to the core - it bothers me to say it, but this team is going nowhere this year.
  5. You didn't establish anything. None of the above listed guys are game breakers with the exception of Osemele who is a premier guard. There are some solid players , yes but where are the stars? Where's the Antonio Brown? Where's the game breaking running back? Where's the shutdown corner? Who inspires fear and intimidation on defense? Who is the star player on this team? Who is the big name talent? The one that the Ravens can build marketing campaigns around? There isn't one. There are no guys you can look at and say "when the game is on the line, we can look to this guy to make a play and save the day" We are drafting some solid guys, but we aren't getting playmakers.
  6. Totally agree. OZ was great in the day - it pains me to say it, but he just isn't getting the job done any more. Look at the players teams like Pittsburgh are drafting. They pick late in the draft too. We draft guys like Perriman, Campanaro, Sergio Kindle, Matt Elam and then give big contracts to guys like Lardarius Webb and Dominique Foxworth. Our talent is so thin - there is really nothing on this team - no player you can look to as a difference maker any more. Just a bunch of guys.
  7. Fair enough - apologies.
  8. I agree. Biscotti isn't going to stand for having the team (really the offense) booed off the filed at home on a regular basis. Harbaugh and Flacco will be sent packing if the offense can't improve.
  9. This team is lifeless. There are no stars. Flacco is an overpaid joke. Offense getting booed off the field at home again. It's the same old story. Our team has been in a downward spiral since the Super Bowl. There is no light here - they need to blow this up and start over. We aren't building around anything. There are no real game breakers on this team.
  10. http://www.cheatsheet.com/sports/overrated-nfl-players.html/?a=viewall Yes, Flacco does have a Super Bowl ring. So do guys like Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Doug Williams. In actuality, outside of his run of fantastic play throughout the 2012-13 postseason (which resulted in him landing a massive contract extension, by the way), Flacco has been incredibly average throughout his eight-year NFL career. He still doesn’t have a 30-touchdown pass season on his resume, and it’s becoming more and more clear that the success Flacco enjoyed early in his career was a direct result of him having an excellent supporting cast around him (the same can be said for coach Harbaugh). He is now the highest-paid signal caller in the league in terms of average annual salary, and in our eyes, paying a guy who graded out as the 24th-best quarterback in the league that kind of money will continue to prevent the Ravens from truly rebuilding a Super Bowl-caliber team anytime soon.
  11. Too bad we couldn't have Kubiak as the HC.
  12. Oh - sorry. Jim Caldwell was the OC for the 8-8 2013 season. We were an offensive juggernaut (just kidding, we sucked that year on offense too). He was going to be fired and was mysteriously hired by the Lions. Enter Kubiak - the only OC that had any success here. He was OC for 1 year.
  13. Scapegoat. By season's end we'll be reading on this board how Mornhinweg stinks. I'll bring this post back up when the times comes.
  14. Oh that's cute.
  15. Yes sir. Carson Went has it - he is going to be great. Joe Flacco is not a stud - LOL. No disrespect to you. I am still chuckling over that. He's what 26-27 as a starter since the SB? I know it isn't all his fault. But man, he is an average QB. That's all he ever has been and all he ever will be. He's a likable guy, but to call him a stud? LOL.
  16. I'll tell you what - the Eagles have a gamer in Carson Wentz. That kids is already making changes at the line of scrimmage. So, he's one. Carr is another. Brady of course, Rodgers, Russell Wilson. Flack is OK. He's always been just OK. The deal is he is making $22 million this year and we can get the level of play he provides for less money/ That's all. This isn't personal, he simply now commands pay that is beyond what he produces on the field.
  17. Well that's not the only thing...
  18. Wait don't the guys have a t-shirt made that says he is, that's just embarrassing. $22 million this year Biscotti is paying to watch this.
  19. Ray Lewis said this when he retired - this team needs a leader. His words were mocked, blah blah this is finally Flacco's team now.
  20. Denver discarded him awhile ago.
  21. You're right. He is an all-pro. One of the best in the league.
  22. We need an emotional leader on this team. Missing Ray Lewis.
  23. Jimmy is a great corner. He had 3 picks and 48 tackles last year..............
  24. He had a partial good year - it was an aberration, clearly.
