  1. I picked Vontae Davis, but I changed it to DeMarco Murray. Btw I just made my pick and selected Stephon GIlmore because he is one of the last shutdown CB's available.
  2. With the 98th pick, Lebron James selects... Stephon Gilmore CB
  3. Did not see he was selected my fault, but I changed it.
  4. With the 95th pick, Lebron James selects... Demarco Murray RB
  5. I think if the Ravens can get into the playoffs this year they will be considered a top tier team. Not only does Flacco have completely new weapons on offense, but another OC. He's lost Pitta, Torrey, Ray Rice, and Boldin since our SB run and our team looks extremely similar this year. I think it really depends on how well the rookies are going to handle how much is thrown at them and if they can step up. Perriman is expected to put up 50+ catches and around 6-7 TD's and Williams should see about 40-50 catches and 5 TD's. We have a dominant O-line, quality running backs, great ST's, and a dominant defense, but I'm not sure we will click on offense immediately as far as the passing game.
  6. I changed my big board immediately after I made my pick.

  11. I'm in.
  12. Doubt they move him to OLB. He would of been our starting ILB this year but you couldn't pass on Mosley there. He's solid depth and will take over once Daryl Smith is done which may be after this year.
  13. Don't know where else to talk about this, but I'm interested to see if Jerry Rice Jr. is going to at least be P-squad by us.
  14. Towson stand up!

  16. We also only have 4 CB's and are thin at RT. We need that money to sign veterans in case an injury happens. As much as I would want Johnson I'd rather have that money to fill some of our other positions that we absolutely need some guys at.
  17. Yea I'd have to say I would as well. Don't get me wrong I love Torrey, but you could definitely find a guy to replace him. Jimmy on the other hand has the potential to be a true shutdown corner. He proved last year he's capable of doing it, he just has to do it on more of a consistent basis. I think it will help big time with Brooks back there because now we have a true FS which will make it easier on our CB's. I really hope we can lock both guys up for the long run though. I could see us cutting bait on Ngata next year, especially if he doesn't play better this year. I'd take the money we can get from cutting him and put it right towards Jimmy/Torrey.
  18. I just find it hard to believe that only one guy has mentioned this and no one else has brought it up. You would think it would be a bigger topic especially since he's our guy right now. I haven't seen anything else talking about us trading Torrey or factors that would lead us to not resign him. The only thing your saying is that he is going to demand more money than we offer him or were going to target someone else. Torrey knows he's not a true #1 receiver and so does our FO. He's going to get paid similar to how Eric Decker got paid and I see him being a big part of our offense this year. Personally I think Jimmy Smith has a better chance of leaving Baltimore than Torrey Smith does. Smith is on the rise and could command big money this year especially after what Haden got and what Peterson might want.
  19. Nothing's ever certain, but when you look at the facts Torrey is going to stay here. Unless something crazy happens (we never know) I don't see him leaving even if he does get more money. That also has to do with our WR's coach. It's not like Torrey is upset here or isn't getting the ball his way enough, he's completely content here so why would he leave? He's never complained once or even talked about leaving Baltimore. Can I ask where you were hearing these whispers from because I never saw anyone talk about us doing that. Unless the media made something up, thats completely false.
  20. He's going to hit his wall eventually though, every player does. I'd take Torrey who is in his prime and has minimal injury history than an older vet who will maybe play 2 years and is going to steadily decline. Torrey still isn't a finished product and is only going to get better. He was pretty raw coming out of MD and not to mention our WR's coach didn't do much for him. Let's say if we did get Andre and we didn't resign Smith. Andre will be 32-33 and Steve Smith is 35. Flacco has no chemistry with Andre while Flacco has chemistry with Torrey. Andre has nagging hamstring injuries and is losing his speed. You really want to have our #1 and #2 guys being 32+? Taking away guys Joe is familiar with is going to hurt him even more. Obviously your going to have players walk that's just how the business is. Ellerbe had one good year and he never played a full season. Kruger also had only one good year and other than that wasn't impressive. I'd rather keep Upshaw than paying Kruger ridiculous money like the Browns did. As I said above Graham didn't want to stay here and be limited to nickel responsibilities, he knows he should be a #1 or #2 CB so he left. Jones I was upset about him leaving, but we pretty much knew he was going to be gone. He was way out of our price range and we drafted guys that could take over for him.
  21. Not sure I believe that. I'm leaning more towards he was trying to hide something, but who knows. He also only lost 15 lbs. which is not that bad. The fact Moses had to lose 30lbs. says something about his work ethic. He was inconsistent this year too and I like Hurst better than him. We got almost the same value except Hurst was an UDFA.
  22. Ellerbe got offered a monster contract by Miami who completely over payed him. No team is going to throw that money at Torrey Smith. Kruger also had the same thing happen with the Browns and had a better opportunity to shine there. Corey Graham didn't want to be limited to the nickel situations anymore because Jimmy Smith beat him out for the CB job. I would leave too if that was the case. We knew Reed was pretty much done that's why we offered him such a small contract. He wanted to keep playing and at his age I would take that money all day that Houston gave him. Major mistake by them. A lot of those guys you mentioned were completely over paid as well, so that's a big reason they left. I agree, but when your in the position that Torrey is in where he's in his prime, has an established QB, one of the best franchises in the NFL, and how involved he's be in the community, he's not leaving. Were not going to give him an offer he's going to refuse. We negotiate with players on contracts very well and give them fair salaries. Torrey knows that and he'd be dumb if he left.
  23. 30 lbs extra weight? Come on now. Losing 30 lbs in the amount of time he did is extremely unhealthy. I'm not saying it to be ignorant, I'm just saying if your losing that much weight that fast it's not healthy at all. If he wasn't going to put in the effort in college to be in shape, what makes you think he will care in the NFL? Like I said we will see if he actually keeps his weight where it's at. He got by with natural talent in college and he's going to have a rude awakening when he plays in the NFL. We didn't miss on him, there's a reason why he was picked in the 3rd round. This guy was considered to go as early as the Dolphins and was considered a first round lock. His tape is one of the best out there for OT's, but the fact teams passed on him all throughout the 2nd says something about him that we don't know. I'd take Jernigan anyday over Moses. We got a steal in James Hurst as an UDFA who's tape was similar to Moses.
  24. Torrey has no reason to leave Baltimore. He loves the area, he went to MD, and he's won a SB here. Very few Ravens want to leave Baltimore because it is one of the best organizations in the NFL. He's not going to get #1 money either, I could see him getting something similar to Decker. No way we can get both of those guys. I would love it if we could, but I'd rather resign Torrey and Jimmy next year.
  25. I disagree. Shows how lazy he must have been at UV if he had that much extra weight. He may have worked hard to improve his draft stock, but now that he's drafted we will see if he actually continues working hard. I'm glad someone else has to deal with that problem because we've had to deal with players weight issues in the past. (Upshaw, Rice, McKinnie). Losing 30lbs is also extremely unhealthy and I highly doubt he's going to remain at that weight. A lot of that was water weight and dieting, not work ethic.
