  1. Steve Smith paired with Torrey would be a nice combo. I think Steve still has another 2-3 years left in the tank and he could be productive in our system
  2. I think if we get Steve Smith we will take a WR in the 3rd round. We have a lot of undeveloped talent at WR right now and with Pitta back it will make our offense way better. Torrey and Steve will be our #1 and #2 while Brown/Jacoby/whoever we draft will rotate in that role. I think we take BPA for our first round pick and then go lineman if that wasn't the first round pick. We might even take Clinton-Dix/Pryor if we don't address FS soon enough which I'm not to sure about, but Ozzie knows his stuff.
  3. I agree with you there, but we should definitely take a guy high up in the draft unless we think Omar Brown is a capable backup but I'm not sold. Someone in the 3rd or 4th would be nice.
  4. He played way to good last year and after what shield's got there is no way we are touching him. He probably wants to be a starting corner too even though nickel corner's do play a lot, it's different.
  5. Na they gave him a 5 year 25 million dollar contract. you don't pay someone that money and not have them start from day 1. Many players go in for visits because teams have interest, but I highly doubt the steelers sign him.
  6. Doubt it. Steelers signed Mike Mitchell and extended Troy so they are pretty much set at safety.
  7. Agreed. I talked about him a while ago and everyone hated on me for it. I think he could have a bounce back year and if not we cut him. Simple as that.
  8. I agree with you now I would definitely want Steve Smith, at the time I had no idea he would be released, but he would give us the physicality that Boldin brought, veteran leadership, and some much need explosion.
  9. Bengals released their starting Center Kyle Cook. I think we should sign him instead of Mack. He's 30 years old, 6'3 and 310 pounds. Bengals had a good line last year and when we played them didn't seem to me that he was a liability at all. Seems like a quality signing Ozzie will do and it will give us more time to figure out the future for our center position.
  10. I think he is coming back to Baltimore for sure now. They have "optimism" a deal can be reached and Monroe now knows he's not going to get much of a better offer than the Ravens are giving him. I think the Ravens are going to give him $10 million a year because they realize how important Monroe is. He probably just waits till Tuesday to announce anything just incase someone give him that bigger offer.
  11. According to a source the Dolphins are higher on Brandon Albert than Eugene Monroe. So happy to hear this because the only other teams that would make a move for Monroe are the Cardinals and Panthers. I don't see the Panthers paying Monroe more than we are and will get someone cheaper. If they sign Monroe they are going to have to free up a lot of space to sign Newton and others in the next couple years. As for the Cardinals, I feel they could make a play for Monroe. Their defense is Superbowl caliber and they are a piece away from being up there with Seattle and the 49ers. Hopefully they do not give Monroe more money and I hope they try to go after a different OT whether it be in FA or the draft.
  12. Thomas Decoud, Antoine Bethea, and Chris Clemons are FS's that we should definitely go after. I think by adding one to our back end and drafting a developmental FS would be great for us. Louis Delmas will probably get a lot of money and he's injury prone. Byrd will get insane money, but rightfully deserved. Hoping we can get one of the guys I said above for a cheap three or four year deal.
  13. Agreed and I think he will get $6-8 million a year maybe more depending on how much Verner and Finnegan go for. Everyone has seen he has been torched a fair share of times especially in playoff games *cough* torrey smith twice *cough* and then doug baldwin burned him once or twice too. He is on the decline, but he can still play.
  14. Jason Avant WR would be a quality signing IMO. He is most effective on third down and that is what we have lacked since Boldin. With all the other big name WR's out there I think he will be cheap and we can sign him for 2 years. Phil Costa C I think would be worth giving a shot to come in and compete with Gradkowski. They cut him from the Cowboys because they drafted Travis Fredrick and he was expendable. He didn't play well last year, but years before he started and was ok. He only 26 too and would provide experience at least. Andre Roberts WR If we can't get Avant or if Robert's is in our price range I think we should go after him. He played a #2 role next to Fitzgerald and played well. He can work in the slot and can provide some serious YAC. He can go deep and I think he would be effective in Kubiak's play action since it involves long developing routes. Antoine Bethea FS/SS He may be out of our price range, but if somehow we can afford him he would excel in our defense. He is a play maker and great in coverage. He played on a bad colts defense and still managed to make plays. He can match up against bigger TE's and allow the Ravens to use Elam in a creative way. Our secondary would suddenly become the best part of our defense and not to mention we would have Suggs and Dumervil rushing the pasher. Would not want to be facing our defense lol
  15. We just signed Flacco to a mega deal and we need to give him a solid starter at LT. If we don't resign Monroe I don't know who else we will sign and they will cost quite a bit of money. Im completely fine with giving Monroe $10-11 million a year for 5 years, but make it cap friendly and give him around $21 million guaranteed. I think both sides are going to get a deal done and we won't have to slap the tag on him.
  16. We need to resign Eugene Monroe he's a priority for Flacco by signing Pitta for cheap the Ravens have the money to give Monroe an acceptable contract. I think if we have too we will definitely tag him. We still would have enough money to possibly resign Smith and Graham or at least Smith. Even then we still have money to go after a veteran FA at WR, C, or FS.
