  1. This will go down as the dumbest contract in Ravens history. No disrespect to BW, but he's only on the field 60% of the time. And we just made him the highest paid NT in the league.
  2. Well said. If the Ravens D gave up a 25 point lead you know damn well the D is getting blamed for the loss. But the Falcons D does and it's Ryan's fault? Why is it different?
  3. The Patriots actually called a TO after the sack. But still I agree with you about throwing it again. 3-23 chances are you're not getting that 1st down. Even if they didn't gain a yard running the ball, it's still a very manageable 51-52 yard FG attempt for Bryant. Ryan did complete the pass on 3-23 for 9 yards to Sanu, but was nullified due to Jake Matthews holding. If Matthews doesn't hold it's 4th down at the NE 26. A 42-43 yard FG attempt for Bryant is pretty automatic.
  4. It was our 2008 1st, 2nd, 4th and 2009 3rd according to Peter King who reported on this years ago. Not exactly our entire draft like Rapoport suggested. That's not an awful trade, but I'm still glad the Rams didn't accept it. That's 2 big pieces in our Super Bowl run (Rice, Kruger) that we wouldn't have with Ryan.
  5. To be fair the Ravens reddit is full of homers. I mean there's a thread praising Joe for passing yards and QB rating. I don't know how the people on reddit can look at the 2 Aiken plays and act like he wasn't open.
  6. http://russellstreetreport.com/2016/12/15/tale-of-the-tape/the-joe-flacco-check-down/ This is a good breakdown of some of Joe's struggles against the Patriots. There were a number of chances for big plays Monday night. For whatever reason Joe didn't pull the trigger and checked down on most of the plays. We need to face facts. At this point in time we have a $22M game manager at QB.
  7. Wait so now QB rating matters? Funny how it's just a "stupid stat" when anyone brings it up to show how bad Flacco has been. I will say that Joe looked a little better today. He still had issues with accuracy and reading the defense. But he did look a little more comfortable in the pocket. I'll never be a big Flacco fan, but the reality is we're stuck with him. Calling for him to be benched/traded is just a waste of time. It's not going to happen for a number of reasons.
  8. You have Elam confused with Powers. Ealm is #33 now
  9. It was called. He accidentally got poked in the eye on the facemask call
  10. Fair points. I need to stop being so cheap and just sign up for PFF. Their content is great.
  11. What's interesting is Matt Ryan's o-line has given up the 4th most QB hits. The Ravens have given up the 10th most. To me that makes what Ryan is doing even more impressive. He's a legit MVP candidate. I know QB hits aren't the end all be all. Just thought it was interesting.
  12. Perriman is going through growing pains which is understandable. But he was straight abusing Burns yesterday. Shook him with a nice comeback route for a completion, and then burnt him deep on a 9 route that Joe overthrew. Pitta was getting open yesterday. Joe just wasn't going to him for some reason. He's not a top tier TE but he's more than capable. Joe was going to him a lot earlier in the season. Not sure what changed. The thing is the receivers need to help out Joe but Joe also needs to help out the receivers. It works both ways.
  13. I don't think a lot of fans truly realize how bad Joe has been this season. He's arguably the worst starting QB this season. That's inexcusable for a 9 year vet making the money he does. He's messing up basic football fundamentals. The int yesterday is a perfect example: drifting back and throwing across his body. That's 2 cardinal sins. But the biggest issue with the int was that it was 3rd down in easy FG range. That's just low football IQ.
  14. The rule is you can only bring 1 player back from IR. We brought back Elam so everyone else on IR is officially out for the season.
  15. My initial reaction was that was one the ugliest attempts at a slide that I've ever seen.
  16. I'm not. I haven't seen one person on this forum openly rooting for Joe to play poorly.
  17. Who doesn't want Joe to get it together and succeed? We're all Ravens fans, if Joe plays better than the Ravens play better.
  18. There have been plenty of posts. I saw one earlier today suggesting that this is a SB team. To be clear I'm not saying that people don't have the right to feel that way. There are extremes on both sides.
  19. We won the SB 4 years ago. Since then we have a record of 26-29. We haven't drafted well either: 2013 Elam - bust Brown - no longer on the team Williams - Very good run stopping DT Simon - no longer on the team Juice - decent FB in a league that's phasing out the position Wagner - solid RT whose play has dipped a bit Moore - always injured, hasn't done anything Jensen - decent backup OL The 2 remaining picks are no longer in the league. 2014 Mosley - pro bowl caliber LB. Play slipped last season, but looked like he was back before getting injured this season Jernigan - solid DE. Has an issue with personal fouls Gilmore - decent backup TE Brooks - no longer on the team Urban - backup DL/ST player Taliaferro - backup RB Urschel - backup OL Wenning - no longer in the league Campanaro - showed promise but was constantly hurt. As of now not in the league 2015 Perriman - shows flashes but has not absolutely nothing noteworthy at this point in his career Williams - nothing special in his rookie year. Out for this season Davis - hasn't done anything. Out for the season Smith - decent rush OLB. Doesn't really offer much else Allen - 3rd string RB Walker - RIP Boyle - PED problem. Currently suspended Myers - not in the league as far as I know Waller - suspended 4 games, WR converted to TE 2016 Stanley - looks good when healthy. His injury is becoming a serious concern. No timetable for his return Correa - has barely seen the field. Outside of the almost int he hasn't looked impressive when actually on the field Kaufusi - out for season Young - looks like a very solid nickel corner Moore - raw with some serious speed. Has a case of the drops Lewis - decent LG being forced to play LT due to Stanley injury. Looks overmatched at LT Henry - hasn't played Dixon - injured in pre-season. Is an explosive player, but hasn't seen much playing time since coming back Judon - has tremendous potential. He could be a good one Reynolds - on practice squad Canaday - on IR How many difference makers have we drafted since the SB? Obviously players can progress, but at this point I don't know how anyone can say we have drafted well lately. So many fans have that "everything is awesome" mentality. But the truth is this team hasn't been very good since the SB.
  20. Hill was suspended for 10 weeks in March. His 4th suspension in 4 years. I doubt he ever plays in the NFL again. I know for a fact he'll never play for the Ravens again.
  21. The only way Flacco gets a yellow jacket is if he orders one online. You can't reason with these people. We have some of the most delusional fans in any sport.
  22. No biggie. It's my fault anyway. I should have clarified what I meant.
  23. Again I stated before that better probably wasn't the best word to use. From my standpoint I was using better as in more productive. Which obviously you guys wouldn't know since you're not mind readers. Side note: this forum software is awful on mobile. I've been typing up posts and they randomly disappear.
  24. Honestly doing everything on arm talent alone is probably why he had shoulder discomfort. His mechanics have been inconsistent his entire career. The only time his mechanics were solid for most of the season was under Kubiak. Which brings up the question why didn't we get an OC that ran a system similar to Kubiak? Like Shanahan who is lighting it up as the OC in ATL.
  25. Falling off? He threw 31 td's to a WR/TE group consisting of Jones, Adams, Montgomery, Rodgers, and Cobb (who was banged up throughout the season).
