  1. Hey guys I was away fishing with no internet for some time and I'd like to know what happened to Camp ? When did he injured his calf ? He's on IR before the 53 that means he's done for the season right ? If that's a yes they should probably just cut him

Anyway I mentionned a few times back in june/july the possibility of cutting Forsett and maybe resigning him...

    - Pierce made the team... they wanna make a statement to B.W in negociations.

    - Carter made the team thats surprising a bit.

    - I liked that they kept S. Price he played good imo in coverage. They made the mistake the last few years in cutting some CBs and they didnt wanna do it again this year they kept lots of them lol. Its a shame Butler is gone but at the end of the day, he was behind SSS, Aiken, Wallace, Perriman, Moore so he wouldnt have seen lots of snaps. And if some WRs get injured they can bring him back anytime if he's still on Tampa PS.

By waiving Elam, they can re-sign him later in the year. The risk is that you could potentially lose him to another team (I bet Teryl Austin would want him for the Lions), but the benefit is that you're not tying-up a a roster spot for a player who can't play for ~6 weeks, and you're not being forced into using your only IR-designated to return slot on him or simply lose him to IR for the season with no option to return.

Yeah I got the part but my point was.. why do it now ? They can easily get to 75 without waiving Elam. There's plenty of camp bodies to cut. They could wait and see how Elams recovery is doing and maybe try the move a bit later.

I thought Coleman was gonna be the top receiver taken and I also thought He was the best in the draft, pretty sure I called Thomas 2nd but that's no big deal lol and I certainly wouldn't have minded but there are others I would've taken before him for sure.

I'm the one who had Michael Thomas best WR of this class and Mackensie Alexander probably the best CB (after Ramsey). My man Mack got his 2nd interception in 3 games now. He was suppose to have bad ball skills.

Saw on BR that Elam is expected to be waived.

Yup I saw that.. I don't exactly understand the move. What are they gaining by doing this ? They could easily cut someone else its not like they got deep depth at safety

  5. I don't see how he will make the team but cutting Butler will be HARD. He really worked hard in the last few seasons and improved a lot. He reminds me a bit of Aiken coming out of the Pats camp IIRC.... they had to cut him.

If the Ravens can stash Reynolds on PS or IR and there are some injuries Butler might make it. He's playing well but at the end of the day its a numbers game.

    1- SSS

    2- Wallace

    3- Aiken

    4- Perriman

    5- Moore

    6- Camp

7- Butler if they keep 7. But they are probably keeping 4 RBs... 4 TEs... Thats more than usual on offense. Gotta find some STs players somewhere

  6. Some surprising guys could make the cut...

Beyer, Carter. Gotta take a look who's running with the ones on special teams. Beyer they seem to like him a lot. Size similar to McClellan. Since McClellan will play more base defense they are probably looking for a ST ace. I also began to take a look at the offensive personal during the preseason games and a few things stood out :

    - VERY few plays with a FB (Is Juice on the spot ?)

    - 2 TEs set are interesting so they might keep 4 TEs (if Pitta can play... or maybe play Juice in a H-Back kind of role)

    - Dixon, Forsett, West are all running back that can 1 cut and don't really need a lead blocker.

    - I like the crossing patterns from play actions something that was missing A LOT from the Ravens before Kubiak/Trestman. I love the more West Coast looks

    - The Ravens need a speester so Wallace, Perriman or Moore gotta stay healthy and be effective or every teams are going to jam the box.

I'm not the biggest Trestman fan but the schemes look better this season. Now they have to run the dam ball better

People talk about Campanaro possibly getting cut, but I think Pitta could be cut due to his injuries--this is just another one. He may be Joe's friend, but we've let guys go before for less and Harbaugh apparently didn't seem pleased with him injuring the finger by hitting a rookie. As a veteran, he should be better than that even with the situation as it was.

Yes I agree with you. Pitta has been great and we heard he was playing good during the TC.... but he needs to get hit right now to test him. His salary next season is reallllllly high. I think if he makes the team, its because there are some players suspended or on IR. Its really sad but it is what it is. I really loved Pitta but Watson signing was like the end of Pitta. Let's hope he comes back sooner than later and get some quality time in the 4h preseason game.

I'd be very surprised if he makes the team.  There's just nothing there anymore.  Best for both sides to part ways at this point.

At this point he should get a try on on a team playing a fast 4-3/nickle. he's no way a 3-4 player. well he even looked lost playing coverage in nickle. I remember during the draft I didnt know why he was slipping... others teams might have realized his lack of awareness

Stanley played 25 non-penalty snaps, up from 22 in the opener.

Regarding the offensive RoY talk...I probably would also have called that impossible a few years back, but PFF has changed football by offering grades to compare offensive linemen that are updated weekly.  You don't have to like their grades, but there is much improved information flow on the offensive and defensive lines than there was just a few years ago.

There may not be a great rookie QB this season, which improves his chances, but he'll need to play very well.

I understand this and I agree with you, but we have to keep in mind this is a league that needs to sell tickets. Its an entertainement business first and foremost so at the end of the day, when they give that kind of award to a skill position player, they get the approval and entertain more fans so they keep them happy. Even if we, as Ravens fan, would think this is not fair, this is a business. If Elliot gets 7-8 TDs, he'll be ROY. They need to keep the Dallas fan base happy.

Who are the first 3 jerseys in term of numbers of sales ? Dez, Romo, Elliot. This is where the money is. Even if Stanley plays at a pro bowl caliber, as soon as a guy like Elliot gets a little bit of stats he should win.
