  1. To be honest, Elam is looking good tonight and he was last year before his injury. Seems more mature now
  2. Gotta let Tavon Young play now. Powers has been bad tonight, same with Wright. Z. Smith looks good. I like the 4-2 defense. Unleash Correa now
  3. If Ochi wins the battle, I'm pretty sure Judon will come up with a "knee injury" and they'll stash him on IR. If he's not gonna play this season, I don't think they'll be able to send him to the PS without a team like the Bills or Pats (Ninkovich injury) promoting him. I doubt they try the "John Simon" experiment twice.
  4. exactly and watching tv/computer hurts believe me I had a serious concussion in my days. the doc also told me after a week if I can watch TV (if I'm able to), I need to keep my brain active so playing video games (Madden) was in fact very good for me lol
  5. I just want to take some times to thanks all the guys who have the time to go at the TC and give us some nice reports. Thanks a lot guys, most of the info are found on this boards. Can't wait for some football
  6. A few players still on the board when they drafted Reynolds... Houston-Carson, DeAndre (FS behind Webb, rangy) Sudfeld, Nate (QB - good back up behind Joe) Listenbee, Kolby (WR - a burner who played with hernial disc problem, 4,3 guy) Tretola, Sebastian (OG- maybe an answer at LG) Miller, Harlan (CB - in the 6th, no brainer imo) Alexander, Vadal (G - maybe answer at LG) Lawler, Kenny (WR - RZ threat) Blythe, Austin (C - good value here in a ZBS) Peake, Charone (WR) I understand the give the guy a chance but when you come from a bad season you need to fix the holes asap
  7. In my opinion, you can never have too much space on the salary cap. A guy like Josh Norman could get cut (I know the comparaison isnt so fair since I don't think Norman is a shutdown QB he's a zone QB who had success behind a monstrous front 7 that put pressure on every play). I prefer my CBs to be great man to man but thats only my opinion. Anyway like a few guys said, they will probably keep Forsett this season since they don't need the space, but there's a big chance he won't be on the team next season. They'll probably keep him to get some time for the young guys to get ready and mentor them but if somewhere during the season they are in a playoff chance and want to add a big time player a team is looking to trade, you need cap space. You need to resign a few players every season you can never have enough space because maybe next year, or 2 years from now you'll be tight and need room. If a young player can do the SAME job, cheaper, thats my philosophy to free some money. But like I said, the young players here can maybe do the same on the field... but not OFF the field. not yet
  8. The thing about Forsett his that is 3,7M salary has a deadcap only of 700k if they cut him. That would free 3M on the salary cap. They could cut him and try to sign him cheaper. I doubt he will ever have another season he had while under Kubiak. I see the Ravens keeping 4 and while I thought West was the odd man out, he's now making the team and L.T is out. The same could be said about Zuttah if Jensen/Urschel prove to do the job, cutting Zuttah would save some cap (3,5M savings vs 1M deadcap). Thats also the reason I think Kendrick Lewis is almost sure to be cut (400k deadcap vs 1,4M savings). In this league, if you can find a young player or cheaper player to play, you save money to pay the QBs... and resign B.Williams.
  9. yeah he doenst have the body to play the edge in the NFL at 240-250. Thats why the move to ILB in 3-4 is a good move and would be even better SAM in a 4-3 Under imo. But he's still very versatile, fiercy agressive player and looks like he's a baller. Lots of people said it during the draft but Boise State couldnt not use him worst than they did. Boise never are able to use good defensive player to their strenghts
  10. I'm really not good at navigating on the boards but I'm 100% sure I said it, I remember and he was my #1 rated WR I believe I still have my rankings somewhere........ Michael Thomas from Ohio State is going to be the best WR in this year class and I read today he's torching the Saints camp. Docston is going to be a big bust and I'm still relying on my prediction I believe Joey thought the same as me on him there you go I found it . now I'm changing my mind on Stanley since we get to know him more... lets hope he becomes a stud
  11. I've been a big Alexander fan from the start also. I think he'll be better than WJ3, Apple (whos a bust imo) and Howard. Might end up the 2nd best CB in this draft class
  12. KC playing some ILB and I got blasted when I said during the draft he could play ILB as much as SAM Backer in the NFL. and my man Tavon Young doing great. Kinda sucks for the Reynolds story tho I wasn't a fan of drafting him... sure it was a nice story and everything but I didn't understand the football move.... risky move that could take time and there were some quality players still on the board at that time. Anyway he still has a month to build on things they might bury him on the IR for the next season to give him at least a year to learn the position and everything he seems like a very great man with a great work ethic and everything. Nice to see some action after all. Now lets pray that we don't see any big time injuries
  13. Yup I really hope they change to a 4-3 Under look. Pees said this week talking with the media that won't happen. But lets face it, Correa is a SAM Backer, Kaufusi is a 4-3 DE. Both would need lots of growth and work to be ready to play a 3-4 role right away. Correa athletic abilities would be a lot better served in a 4-3 scheme, same for Jernigan. The only problem like Winchester said is the WLB spot.... but I believe it'll be more 4-2 look than anything to be honest.
  14. I can't understand why SO MANY people write Mosely instead of Mosley ?... I really don't understand. My only explanation is that the name is auto corrected by a phone. I know this is off subject but Ive been waiting like 2 years to say this comment. I'm sorry
  15. I really think they'll try to get a bigger back. Dixon, Forsett, Allen are similar. IF Talliaferro or T-Rich play great, they might cut Forsett to keep a bigger body.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong but Boulware never played D-Line ? He played SAM. It was like the beginning of the hybrid role played by Suggs so I don't know if late in his career he played some hands in the dirt rusher. I remember playing with him in Madden OLB Blitz was so OP at that time I was able to get 10+ sacks/game lol
  17. So when the Ravens drafted him I said he could play some ILB and I got criticized. Wasn't that stupid eh? I still think he could see some time in a Nickle LB, 4-3 SAM, 3-4 ILB ala Timmons
  18. the way the NFL is going, you see less and less runs, more and more passes. Thats why Billings, Reed fell and some quicker DTs went before. Passing leagues with a BIG NEED for Nickle interior rusher. Henry would blossom in that role imo. I don,t see him playing OLB at all just a faster DT
  19. Here's how I see things : LEO : Suggs/Judon 3-tech : Jernigan/Henry 1-tech/NT : B. Williams / C. Davis 4-5 tech LDE : Guy/Kaufusi Will : A. Brown/Orr/FA/Weddle Mike : Mosley SAM: Correa/Doom (I have Doom only on passing downs in nickle rusher they won't make him play the run) If the Ravens were able to grab Cravens or Vigil or Jatavius Brown man that would have been a great Will. I could see Weddle playing the safety/LB role in passing situations where he gets down in the box to follow TEs/RBs (last year problem). That only if Elam/Brooks/Webb are good enough on top.
  20. you know what ? there is probably not accurate at all... but the Ravens showed on their site a few pictures of the Rookie Camp and Correa was on a picture with LBs and not pass rushers in a sled drill. I'm probably wrong about that tho and it means nothing but I'm still thinking they'll use him as a SAM in a 4-3 Under Front thats pretty much what the Seahawks and now Falcons run. They tried Beasley last season RDE (LEO) and he had to face OT so he wasnt effective enough. Thats my thought on Correa as well. This season, the Falcons moved Beasley to SAM Backer and he will get help from a 5-tech and will face TEs and RBs. Just like Correa would be A LOT more effective. This is Dan Quinn scheme :
  21. You could tell us how Tunsil is doing
  22. while Carl Davis is more of a run stopper, Henry is very explosive/1 gap player who'll excel in passing situations. They'll probably take B. Williams out to play Henry/Jernigan as the 2 inside d-line thats pretty good.
  23. I don't agree at all with the Sherman comp. Sherman was/is over confident, cocky fiesty CB. Even in his draft year he was a fighter and woulnt allow screens for big gains. Canady is playing soft and not fighting blockers unlike Sherman. Thats a different mentality at all. Canady doenst have the desire Sherman has. Young is more like Sherman in that way he's a tough, fiesty confident corner. I'm talking the way they play and the mentality I'm not talking physical comp at all. I had a LOT of problems to find a comp to Canady but I think a mix of Tracy Porter and Jason Verrett might be the closest thing I've found.
  24. My first 53 attempt QB: Flacco, Mallet RB/FB: Dixon, Allen, Juice. T-Rich/West (1 of them makes the team and they cut Forsett, he's getting old, would free a big capsavings) WR: Smith Sr., Perriman, Wallace, Aiken, Moore, Reynolds, Butler TE: Watson, Williams, Gillmore. (I believe they will use some more 2 TE sets this year - Waller on IR trying to coach/bulk him up) OL: Stanley, Wagner, Yanda, Jensen,Urschel, Lewis, 1 of. (Monroe or Zuttah will be cut) DTs: Williams (2 gap), Davis (2 gap) Jernigan (1 gap) Henry (1 gap) LDEs: Kaufusi/Guy/Doom RDEs: Suggs/ZDS/Judon SAM: Dumervil/Correa/Ochi ILB: Mosley, Orr, Mclellan, Brown, Trade or Camp Cut CB: Smith, Wright, Young, Davis, Powers, --- Canady (IR) FS: Webb, Brooks SS: Weddle, Elam, Levine (won't save much money cutting Elam unlike Lewis) ST: Tucker, Koch, Cox
  25. The big thing against Canady, in my opinion is his lack of toughness. His tape is very up and down. Will make some outstanding plays and will offer some bad plays but I think this could be a bad coaching/inexperience thing. But the lack of toughness is a bit alarming. He needs to add lean muscle A LOT. I havent seen him live at all but you could tell by the videos he's skinny and not very strong. He's a good project tho he's very light on his feet I like that but I think he was a bit better mentally in 2014. Last year he was playing scared and not confident enough for the type of corner I like. He was playing a bit like year 1-2 Jimmy Smith, way off the WR, didn't locate the ball when beat. To gain his confidence I would play him in zone, cover 2 schemes, let him see the field, make some plays, build his confidence before you ask him to turn his back on the ball. But he would need to be A LOT more agressive in defeating blocks he if plays the flat zone. Put him in the weight room and film room and he could pan out he's got everyone you ask for a corner. He's more a 1-2 year project
