  1. I don't understand how you guys can say Thompson has a good value in the 2nd round. We're talking the top 5 pick in the 2nd round. If some team reaches a bit for needs instead of BPA, that means the Ravens get a 1st round talent in the 2nd round. Thompson isn't a 1st round talent. He's not even a 2nd round talent in my eyes. He's not football fast enough imo (maybe he was a bit hesitant and looks like he's a film study junky so that might help him a lot guessing plays instead of reacting - which he isnt so good)
  2. yeah I get what you mean. gotta love his rip swim moves tho. he rushes outside a lot and sometimes bang quick move inside and can kill a passing play right away. still he's not disturbing a lot when facing double team blocks unlike JJ
  3. I just watched a few tapes of Vernon Hargreaves III. Man he can be SO Good and so frustrating. I don't think he's worth a 6th at the moment to be honest. Too many questionable plays. If its between the 3 most of us predict will be available at 6 : Stanley, Buckner or VH3, I'd still go with Buckner. My board is still : Tunsil Ramsey Jack Bosa Buckner so unless the Browns don't draft a QB, with the latest FA moves, I'm pretty suck Buckner will be our pick.
  4. you intrigue me with this statement about Buckner. I thought he brount good pressure from the 3 tech. I'll go watch some tapes right now
  5. Ravens ? unless they trade back in the end of 1st or maybe cross their finger for early 2nd.
  6. Alright I use the CBS rankings this team and its more realistic. I also paid the 6$ to be member and be able to make trades. I had to make some trades but I liked my drafted. Not flashy but effective. I wasn't to land ILB prospects so they'll have to resign Darryl Smith or Arthur needs to step up. Orr can be a surprise too. Got some versatile players on the O-Line that can play multiple positions and effective in zone blocking scheme. Wasn't able to get Suggs or Doom back up so at the end of the day that was an important goal. I'll have to work again on my draft stategies lol. Still got some nice weapons for Joe 6: R1P6 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON 36: R2P5 CB ELI APPLE OHIO STATE 75: R3P12 WR STERLING SHEPARD OKLAHOMA 105: R4P6 WR RASHARD HIGGINS COLORADO STATE 131: R4P32 G CONNOR MCGOVERN MISSOURI 134: R4P35 CB CYRUS JONES ALABAMA 135: R4P36 C MAX TUERK SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 140: R5P1 CB DEIONDRE' HALL NORTHERN IOWA 178: R5P39 G JOE DAHL WASHINGTON STATE 179: R6P1 DT MATT IOANNIDIS TEMPLE
  7. Ravens showing interested in Mike Wallace.... come on Ozzie
  8. The board didn't fall so good for me to get a high profile CB or OT. I tried a home run with Rashard Robinson. Went Ozzie typical with Kelly wanted Tuerk but was long time gone. Floyd is a nice pick up early 2nd if he can put up muscle to his frame.Boyd will be a good chain mover. Went with Deiondre' Hall to play FS. Good value late in the draft tho. Its too unrealistic some late rounders going high and some 1st rounders sliding in the 2nd. Wish I could have traded some 4th rounders to move up in the 3rd or 2nd. 6: R1P6 DE DEFOREST BUCKNER OREGON 36: R2P5 OLB LEONARD FLOYD GEORGIA 70: R3P7 WR TYLER BOYD PITTSBURGH 105: R4P6 C RYAN KELLY ALABAMA 131: R4P32 CB RASHARD ROBINSON LSU 134: R4P35 CB CYRUS JONES ALABAMA 135: R4P36 CB DEIONDRE' HALL NORTHERN IOWA 178: R5P39 OT JOE DAHL WASHINGTON STATE 185: R6P7 DT JAVON HARGRAVE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
  9. LOL if Ozzie can pull rmw10 draft. Man I'll be more than happy
  10. I'm the opposite on Doctson, I think he's a bust. Not effort agressivness going out of his routes. I think he's the product of the schemes he's not getting open a lot on his own against tough competition. But its only my opinion and its not worth much. He'll probably be very good. Last year I had Jalen Strong as a bust. He's no bust yet but his off the field issues are a concern
  11. Tunsil only because he makes it all looks effortless. and still young. I heard the Ravens might be interested in trading up with the Titans.... which is unlikely and not very Ozzies way.
  12. Do you think Fackrell will end up in the 4th round ? I see him going as soon as the 3rd round and with our high 3rd I'd LOVE WR Shepard.
  13. Nice one... I have Carroo going higher. floyd will be a 1st round pick imo. shepard in the 3rd is a GREAT PICK . If spence can slide to the 2nd thats very possible with his shaky interviews at the combine. there are some quality free agents cb availalbe I think the Ravens will try to get one maybe janoris jenkins because the board will not fall so well for them to draft a CB. at 6 its a bit of a reach because they have a chance to pick a top 4 talent and 2nd round.. well they might be all gone.
  14. yeah I think that exactly what I saw.. I don't see the same anger in Doctson than I saw in Shepard and it concerns me a bit. maybe its a character issue or maybe its a lack of effort I don,t know
  15. I haven'T watched Boyd a lot he sure looks like a solid possession WR but I'll have to read more about him and you guys know him a lot better than me. But Shepard wowed me. I'm very high on him unlike Treadwell and Doctson. I think Treadwell runs the slants better than anyone. He seems to have a little bit of problem locating the deep balls but he's got such great hands I think Treadwell will hand up a very good WR but I'm not comparing him to Jeffery not at all. On the other hand, Doctson doens'nt seem interested in running his routes... Is it me or he get out of his routes with not explosions ? He's not getting open 1 on 1 a lot on his own ? I think he benefits a lot from the schemes but.... thats probably just me. I don't think I,ve seen a lot of people saying those things of Doctson
  16. Great job JoeyFlex5 nice mock draft. I have a bit of concern of Noah Spence going in the 1st round tho I think it wass Charles Davis who said his combine intervews were very shaky and not a lot of coaches/GM went to his pro day. If the Ravens get Jack at #6... great pick I'll be very happy. I'd also LOVE Apple in the 2nd but I think he's going in the 1st. Good job fun read
  17. Nice one good job
  18. - First of all, I would like to apologize because english isn't my first langages so I'll probably make some mistakes and I'm sorry. - I don't write often on the boards but I'm a draft geek and I love this part of the season - Updated now to pick 23 - I know I made some weird pick but let's face it, after #10, you can plug almost everyone from 10 to 45. I have the wide receivers off the board really soon after #15 My top 5 players : - 1. Jalen Ramsey 2. Myles Jack - 3. Laremy Tunsil 4. Joey Bosa - 5. DeForest Buckner 1. Tennessee Titans The Titans would love to trade down and still get one of the top two Tackle (Tunsil & Stanley) in the draft but the price too pay will be too much for any other teams to try to go up and very good players will be available because some teams will draft their needs instead of the BPA (Best player available). The ownership of the Titans ask them to protect Mariota with a quality Left Tackle after seeing him get hit more times than they wanted last season. At the end of the day, Tunsil is one of the top 3 players in the draft there’s no way they will pass on him. That would give them the luxury to have Lewan at Right Tackle and Tunsil on the left. The way Tunsil worked out during the Combine Drill solidified his first overall pick. Pick : Laremy Tunsil - OT, Ole Miss Alternate pick : Jalen Ramsey, CB/S, Florida State 2. Cleveland Browns The new era in Cleveland will begin with Hue Jackson getting a Quarterback he likes to develop and leads his franchise. While I don’t have any QB in my top 5 players, the Browns just badly need one after all and will draft their needs. After a lot of years with poor quarterback play, the Browns will be more than happy to get one at #2. As a Quarterback Whisperer, coach Jackson isn’t afraid to draft his future QB from the FCS or any other small school. He has a history of drafting tall, big arm type of quarterback and working well with them. The two consensus QBs picks are Jared Goff and Carson Wentz. While Goff is more cerebral and accurate, the way Wentz worked at the Senior Bowl and the Combine showed me and the Browns exactly what they wanted: Big time arm ready to play in the tough AFC North weather. Pick : Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State Alternate pick : Jared Goff, QB, California 3. San Diego Chargers There are a few rumors saying the Chargers would like to trade down. Some teams needing of a QB (49ers, Rams, Eagles, Texans) could be interested to trade up to get Goff in front of the Cowboys. But the price is once again too high. The Chargers defensive line was one of the worst if not the worst last season. That’s why I had them taking Buckner in my last mocks. After seeing Jalen Ramsey at the Combine, I can’t see how he is going to slide any further. He’s in the top 3 prospects of the draft and he’s MY best one at all. The Chargers would love to have Ramsey and Verrett on the same field. Ramsey is very versatile and would help to fill the void left by Pro Bowl Safety Eric Weddle. A very good all around type of player who will help the Chargers for years to come. Pick : Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State Alternate pick : DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon 4. Dallas Cowboys After saying the Cowboys would like to see a QB transition like the Packers had with Favre and Rodgers, the Cowboys made a few statements saying they won’t draft a QB with the 4th overall pick. Maybe they don’t want to see any team jumping ahead of them and grab Goff and let him develop behind Romo. There’s a pretty good step between Goff/Wentz and the other QBs so I don’t think the Cowboys would be willing to wait in the later rounds to get a QB. I know the Cowboys have glaring needs on the defensive front but I don’t see how they could pass on Goff at this stage. I don’t believe at all in the « Jerry Jones LOVES Running Elliot ». I think a trade for DeMarco Murray is more likely. I think Jerry Jones talked too much and the Cowboys are trying to bluff saying they won’t try to get a QB because they are afraid some teams might jump ahead of them. After the Randy Gregory and Greg Hardy experiments, Jerry Jones might be interested to get Joey Bosa who would be a very good fit in their schemes or Myles Jack who could be a great playmaker for them. Romo has had a few injuries in the past seasons and while he’s still good for a few years, that would let Goff learn a Pro offense and put a little weight. Pick : Jared Goff, QB, California Alternate pick : Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State 5. Jacksonville Jaguars With Chris Clemons recently released, the Jaguars could be tempted to get Joey Bosa to play at the opposite of Dante Fowler Jr but I think they would be very pleased to see my 2nd best prospect available to them. If the medical reports are good, I don’t see the Jags passing on Myles Jack who would be a very great playmaker along Telvin Smith. With Paul Posluszny aging, Myles Jack is exactly what the Jaguars need and I don’t see him going further even if he’s injured. He’ll be ready for the training camp. He’s one of the riser in this year draft after very good interviews at the combine he showed the teams his professionalism. I think they will wait to see Fowler play an NFL down before they draft another pass rusher. Their #1 choice Ramsey taken, they will get another great player in Jack who would be a very good fit in their schemes. He’s got great closing speed. Very good at covering the receiving TEs and can also cover slot WRs. Reminds me a bit of a player between Jamie Collins and NaVorro Bowman. He can play Running Back, he can play LineBacker, he can play Safety. A safe and solid pick. Pick : Myles Jack, LB, UCLA Alternate pick : Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State 6. Baltimore Ravens After restructuring Joe Flacco’s contract, I don’t think the Ravens will draft OT Stanley. They will try to sign Osemele and I don’t think they will cut Monroe because it will still carry high deadcap money. I know the secondary if their biggest need right now but there will be a few solid players available at the top of the 2nd round and the Ravens have a lot of picks so they might be interested in trading back in the first round with all their compensation picks to grab a cornerback. After Ramsey, there’s Hargreaves, Alexander, Apple, Fuller so one of them could be available late in the 1st round or early 2nd round and the Ravens don’t usually reach for players. They also have some space on the salary cap to spend on some very good free agent CBs this offseason so if they do, they probably won’t draft a CB in the first round. I’m pretty sure the Ravens staff knows they won’t have any chance at Ramsey. After cutting Darryl Smith and not using the option on Chris Canty, Myles Jack and DeForest Buckner could have been solid pick as well. Owner Bisciotti emphasized the importance of pass rushers and after seeing their top 2 choices taken (Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack), the Ravens will stop the slide of Bosa and grab a very typical Ozzie Newsome pick. I really don’t think they will get Shaq Lawson or Noah Spence at 6 and I don’t see the Ravens trading down because they will be able to land one of their top 4 rated players/needs: Ramsey, Jack, Bosa, Buckner While I don’t think Bosa is the best player in the draft and any comparisons to JJ Watt aren’t accurate at all, I think he’s a very good player with great instincts. He doesn’t have the fluidity and he seems to have problems with a too stiff body and he’s not bending a lot. But last two seasons he was the top Pro Football Focus graded player in the NCAA. A high motor, great technique and excellent using his hands, even if he doesn’t have top end speed, he’s a very good pass rusher and can stuff the run as well. With Terell Suggs injury and Courtney Upshaw status up in the air, the Ravens would love to see Bosa slide to them. He might need some adjustments to play in the 3-4 schemes but I think he will be used like the Ravens did with Suggs as a hybrid defense tweener between the 4-3 and 3-4. Pick : Joey Bosa, DE/OLB, Ohio State Alternate pick : DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon 7. San Francisco 49ers Even if Chip Kelly is all offense, with Goff off the board I don’t see the 49ers reaching to grab Paxton Lynch who’s not NFL ready right now. They didn’t trade Kaepernick and they still have Gabbert so I think they’ll wait to fix the QB situation later. There’s no superb offensive talent at #7. The wide receiver class is weak. It will be hard to pass on Stanley but with Anthony Davis maybe getting out of retirement it could help them. Elliot is my #6 rated player and he could be an option for the 49ers but we see the RBs being drafted later in todays NFL and you can get quality RBs in almost every rounds. Also Carlos Hyde was pretty effective behind a bad offensive line last season. In the last few years, the 49ers had success with a solid defense and I think the ownership will want to draft on the defensive side of the ball. Jaylon Smith would have been a nice pick for them for after the bad news he received at the combine regarding the nerve damages in the knee, I don’t see any team drafting him in the first round. The 49ers will just get the Best Player Available in DeForest Buckner and play him beside Arik Armstead. What a freak physical presence on the D-Line. They need a great defense because they might see a lot of playing time with Chip Kelly up-tempo offense. Pick : DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon Alternate pick : Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame 8. Miami Dolphins With Lamar Miller leaving via free agency and Elliot still on the board, the Dolphins might want to add the Ohio State standout for the new Adam Gase era. But Adam Gase can create spark on offense without Elliot and the Cornerback position might be a better need for the Dolphins. Some talented passing attacks in their division could force the Dolphins hands to grab Hargreaves III despite his ups and downs at the Combine he’s still a very great playmaker and ball hawk. He’s a very good slot CB and excellent pick and it would help their very disruptive D-Line. Adding some youth on the aging D-Line with Kevin Dodd is an option but right now it would be wiser to grab a CB (VH3 or Alexander) or OT Stanley to protect Tannehill. Pick : Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida Alternate pick : Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame 9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers With playmaker VH3 gone just in front of them, pass rusher makes the most sense. It’s no secret to anyone; the Buccs need to add more pressure on the opposite quarterbacks. One of the risers of this year’s draft is Kevin Dodd. He might not be has good as his former teammate Shaw Lawson right now but he’ll be better at rushing the passer down the road. Even if I’m a big Shaq Lawson fan, I think Dodd is a better fit. He is a bit raw coming out of college but 10+ sacks potential. He was dominating in the Championship game and he doens’t have a lot of experience so sky’s the limit. He will probably be a pass rusher specialist early on but he could develop into a great pick for the Buccs playing with McCoy for years to come. With Doug Martin possibly leaving via free agency, the Buccs staff might want to bring another excellent workhorse runner to let Jameis Winston develop in a future elite QB under Dirk Koetter. But they weren’t afraid to let him throw the ball 50 times last season so even if Elliot is still on the board, they might try to fix their pass rushing issues. Pick : Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson Alternate pick : Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State 10. New York Giants The Giants might have the worst roster in the entire National Football League. So many needs at a lot of positions. Jean Pierre Paul is probably leaving. Amukamara is also pretty much gone so the Giants could go with CB Alexander or DE Shaw Lawson to replace them. Their LB corp is also not so good so Leonard Floyd and Darron Lee also make sense. They also need another safety to play with Landon Collins. They have needs on every level on the defensive side of the ball. What do you do when you have so many needs ? You draft the best player available and this time, Ezekiel Elliot comes to mind. Even if Elliot plays offense he will still help their defense. Running the ball and having your offense on the field for 40+ mins will certainty help their defense. Elliot Combine performance was awesome. Just like Todd Gurley we’ll see a RB taken at the #10 spot again this year. I know this pick won’t be popular among Giants fans but Elliot is one of the most polished player to come out of the draft. He’s an exceptional blocker. Outstanding runner and he also have great hands coming out of the back field. Pick : Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State Alternate pick : Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson 11. Chicago Bears Some nice players are still on the board for the Bears at #11. It’s pretty hard to predict which way they will lean. They could add a player to play on the interior d-line with Goldman but this years draft class might be the best ever to draft a d-line player so they could wait to see if a solid player will fall in the 2nd or 3rd round to address that need. After seeing the Broncos pass rush dominance the playoff and win the Superbowl, the Bears could also use their pick to bolster their pass rush on the opposite of Pernell McPhee. With Shaq Lawson still on board, he reminds me a bit of McPhee. High motor, solid against the run, pass rush abilities. The question is if he’ll be athletic enough to provide pass rush in the NFL? He’ll be a very good edge setter that’s for sure. They could also try to add a Linebacker to play on the inside but at #11 it would be a bit of a reach to get the thumper Ragland out of Alabama and the other Inside LineBackers aren’t that great of a fit for Chicago’s Defense. At the end of the day, the Bears should draft the best player available. Cutler makes bad decision when under pressure so why not draft the best pass blocking offensive linemen still on board? It will be quite shocking for the Bears to get such a talented player at #11 he could be gone as soon as #6 but not so much demand for OT from 8 to 10.. Great addition and will help the Bears right from day 1. Pick : Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame Alternate pick : Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson 12. New Orleans Saints The Saints need to add a player on the defensive side of the ball. They were so bad last season. They could get Alexander or Apple at corner but right now they just gets destroyed on the interior of the defensive line and they get no push at all. They need to get a big presence inside of the defensive line. They could try to grab a CB but at this spot, I think there’s too many talented D-Linemen to pass on. I also could see Darron Lee at this spot, an ultra athletic LB but I think his number of missed tackles isn’t what the Saints are looking for at this point. With some nice players still on board, Sheldon Rankins is a bit smaller and could be 3-4 DE and learn from Jordan. Even if Robert Nkemdiche had a freakish combine I think he wil fall a little bit with the off field issues and he takes some plays off at times. A’Shawn Robinson might have the most upside of the DTs but he plays a bit high so he’s not exactly what the Saints need at this point. Their rushing defense has been horrible last few years and I think the Saints will reach a little bit to get the best run stuffer of this draft class in Jarran Reed. This is not a flashy pick as Reed isn’t so good at rushing the passer but he helps them solidify their rushing defense. He is a day 1 starter and thats why they will go with him instead of his teammeate Robinson. Reed is a rock agaisn’t the run you just can’t move him so while its maybe not a pick the Saints fans will like, he will be very helpful. Reed if a safer pick and what you see is what you get with him. Pick : Jarran Reed, DT, Alabama Alternate pick : A’Shawn Robinson, DT, Alabama 13. Philadelphia Eagles In my previous mocks, I had the Eagles drafting the highly talented but somehow project QB Paxton Lynch. With the recent signature of Bradford and the love the new Eagles head coach has for Chase Daniels, I think they will go in the next season with these two at Quarterback. Then I thought Corey Coleman could make sense with his big play potential but I think they will let their young receivers one more year before they grab one as early. They have a bit of uncertainty on the offensive line and as an offensive minded coach, they make try to fix that issue right away with a versatile player. Taylor Decker and Jack Conklin come to mind and they both could help the Eagles. At this point, I like Conklin a bit better. The Eagles could also be interested in trading back and try to get Spriggs who had a fantastic Combine and is more suited to play Left Tackle. Conklin is better fit for Right Tackle but he might develop into a quality player who can play multiple positions on the offensive line. He’s a really tough and can be nasty. Exactly what the new Eagles regime is looking for. Not a flashy pick but the Eagles need to establish the run game and it starts with a solid run blocker. Pick : Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan St Alternate pick : Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State 14. Oakland Raiders With already a very good D-Line, can you imagine if the Raiders add A’Shawn Robinson and he reaches his potential ? Well that’s scary in the black hole. But to be honest, the Raiders might have other needs like O-Line or…. Someone to replace the future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. At this point, it’s pretty easy to say no one can replace Woodson but if the Raiders can get a tall, rangy press corner to help their pass rush get to quarterbacks that would help a lot. The Raiders always liked fast cornerback and they have the chance to grab one of the risers in this year draft : Eli Apple. At this point it would be a reach but maybe the Raiders will try to trade down or just pick him at #14. In todays NFL almost every teams need CBs. I know some people have Alexander ahead of him but Alexander is more suited to play slot. Both could be good additions but Apple surprised me at the Combine and I think his stock is rising a lot. If you watch Apple tapes, he got better and better as the season went on and that’s what you want to see. He wasn’t that good early in the season but finished very strong. When you face the Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers twice a year, you want a good pass rush and a good secondary. Pick : Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State Alternate pick : Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson 15. Los Angeles Rams The Rams have some needs on the offensive side of the ball. They could use an inside blocker but it would be too much of a reach at this point. Coleman or Treadwell also makes sense here but who would throw them the ball ? Cornerback is also a possibility but they tagged Trumaine Johnson and got a pretty good pass rush so it helps a lot the secondary. I see the Rams trying to get up in the draft as high as in the top 5 but as soon as Goff is taken, they’ll sit back and wait. At this point they might just want to run the ball 50 times a game and gamble on the great project of Paxton Lynch. He’s got a great arm. Played in a Spread system but he could learn the Pro offense and let Gurley do his job. I would have preferred to see Paxton Lynch in a back up role to start is NFL career but the Rams deadly need a QB and Lynch is a nice project. He will get away with some plays with his legs. Gurley, Lynch, Tavon Austin: their offensive coordinator can start working on some funny stuff. Pick : Paxton Lynch QB, Memphis Alternate pick : Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson 16. Detroit Lions The Lions had a good end of the season last year. Now they have the Calvin Johnson retirement rumors so what will they do on draft day ? I believe Coleman might be a better big play WR than Treadwell but they will want to add a high catch radius type of guy if Calvin is to retire. Treadwell didn’t run the 40 at the combine because I heard he was going to run 4.7 and he’s working hard to get in the 4.6 at his Pro Day. I don’t think he will fall that much more he’s still a polished route runner and even if his combine wasn’t so great he’s able to make the tough contested catch. I could also see the Lions go with Taylor Decker but I don’t think he’s their answer at the Left Tackle position just like Riley Reiff was out of college. I think the Lions will need to move on from Calvin even if he’s not retiring they have to build the future and coach Caldwell likes the big bodied WRs. Treadwell would be a good complement to Golden Tate who’s an excellent #2 WR. Pick : Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi Alternate pick : Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio St. 17. Atlanta Falcons Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn is a defensive mastermind. He will probably like to solidify his part of the field by drafting one of the talented players still on board at #17. Some players are nice fit for them like a fast LB Darron Lee, Reggie Ragland, Shaq Lawson, Kyler Fackrell, Noah Spence and most importantly Leonard Floyd. I think Spence will fall because of his off field concerns. I won’t be surprised to see Shaq Lawson fall a bit also du to his lack of explosiveness. On the other hand, their ownership love Matt Ryan and would like to take some pressure of Julio Jones. I have no problem seeing Coleman to the Falcons at #17. He would stretch and take the top to help Julio runs more freely. What a powerful offense in the making. The Falcons might want to add a pass rusher or D-linemen later in the draft. I’m probably the only person with them drafting offense with their 1st pick but it makes sense for some reason. Pick : Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor Alternate pick : Shaq Lawson, DE/OLB, Clemson 18. Indianapolis Colts Coach Pagano is back with the Colts when lots of people had him fired. The board fell pretty good for the Colts they have some high quality players to fix their needs. On one side of the ball, they have Freeman leaving in Free Agency. Mathis isn’t what he used to be. So I could see the Colts going with Ragland or Lawson. I don’t think you draft a 2-downs LB in the top 20 picks. While coach Pagano LOVES edge setter OLB, I think the ownership might want to press the draft team to protect Andrew Luck because we saw what a season without Andrew Luck looks like. So while he might not be a Pro Bowl/HOF type of player, OT Taylor Decker will be a very good player for multiple seasons in the league. I think #18 is a bit high for him and by giving Pagano another contract they will want to see him succeed in what he’s great at: pressuring the QB. One of the best pass rusher DT is still on the board and I see them going with a very good value pick: Sheldon Rankins. Rankins has got a superb take off and explosiveness. He’s more proven than Rovinson at this point and while Nkediche is really explosive as well, the Colts get the safer pick. Pick : Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville Alternate pick : A’Shawm Robinson, DT, Alabama 19. Buffalo Bills Once again, at this point in the draft lots of different players could be drafted. After the top 6-7 players I wouldn’t be surprised to see anyone ranked from 10 to 45. The Teams will trust their scouts and their staff. At #19 the Bills have a quality Right Tackle available on the board in Taylor Decker but we know the Ryan brothers love for the defensive players. Rex Ryan was in first row to see the development on Terell Suggs who’s been a good player for a long time in the league. Shaq Lawson isn’t so explosive, just like Suggs. But he works hard and has a high motor and Rex Ryan likes big bully outside LB that play nasty. He would fit well in a hybrid type of defense and could step right away in Mario Williams shoes. I could also see the Bills go with Reggie Ragland but it didn’t work well for Brandon Spikes in Buffalo. With Rankins gone just in front of them, the Bills will go with Lawson just in front of his former team who would have love to get him. Pick : Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson Alternate pick : A’Shawm Robinson, DT, Alabama 20. New York Jets After a surprising season under the new Chan Gaileys offense, the Jets might want to add some playmaker on the offensive side of the ball. Taylor Decker is still on the board and would fit well. They could add a TE but it would be a reach in my opinion at 20. Just like the Colts I think the ownership will give coach Todd Bowles the power to make his own decision on draft day and he will go on the defensive side of the ball to bolster an already impressive defensive squad. The Jets have the best D-Line in all football. They recently release Cromatie and Milllener wan’t the best pick so far. With their pass rush and Revis, the Jets might want to add CB Alexander who’s still on board because of his lack of interceptions in college. There’s also a very good prospect playing outside pass rusher that could help the Jets. Leonard Floyd has some weaknesses but he will start his career as a situational player in the NFL and blossom under coach Bowles and their nasty defensive line. Emmanuel Ogbah who was a pleasant surprise at the combine will be in consideration here as well. I think this will be a very popular pick among Jets fans. Pick : Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia Alternate pick : Emmanuel Ogbah, DE/OLB, Oklahoma St. 21. Washington Redskins One of the biggest need of the Redskins is probably the center position but I don’t see any team getting one in the first round. Their D-line and secondary could use some help. Alexander could be a nice pick up here but I think he will slide just a little bit more. The Redskins will turn to BPA as well as fix a need. I’ve got A’Shawm Robinson quite high on my board because of his potential. He will need good coaching to keep his pad level lower but he could provide a nice inside rush for the Skins as well as run stuffing ability. Pick : A’Shawm Robinson, DT, Alabama Alternate pick : Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson 22. Houston Texans On paper, the Texans might need a QB but even thought he was horrible in playoffs last season, Hoyer has been decent last season. The Texans could also use some help on the defensive front with a pretty good pass rusher like Jonathan Bullard, Sheldon Day or Chris Jones a fast riser. They could also try to replace the aging Cushing with Darron Lee or Reggie Ragland. I don’t think they reach to get a TE at this point and their offensive line is in good shape. With the recently release of Arian Foster, the Texans could make a splash and select the Alabama workhorse Henry. On most of my last mock drafts I didn’t have Henry in the first round and I had the Texas trying to go up to grab Paxton Lynch but I think they will settle down and maybe try to grab Hackenberg (who has a history with coach O’Brian) a bit later. Having Henry will take some pressure off the QBs and bring more play-actions possibilities to let Hopkins run double moves routes or behind the LBs. Pick : Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama Alternate pick : Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St. 23. Minnesota Vikings I think I haven’t seen a mock draft giving another positions than WR to the Vikings. I mean, I don’t think this is their #1 priority at this moment. Sure they could go with Doctson, Michael Thomas or even Leonte Carroo but I think they have some young playmakers at WRs and they should let them grow a bit in the system (and I think Doctson is a bust) On the other hand, Mike Zimmer could be tempted to get Darron Lee or even Deion Jones and get one of them on the field with sensationnal Anthony Barr. Lee or even Deion Jones and get one of them on the field with sensational Anthony Barr. Darron Lee would have been a very nice pick to play to add some speed in Mike Zimmer Cover 3 schemes but I think the best move the Vikings should do at this point is stay true to their board and draft a very sounded, safe and effecient football player in Taylor Decker. Protecting Bridgewater should be really important list of priority and Decker will be a long time starting Right Tackle in the NFL. He will step in the shoes of longtime Vikings Loadholt who paved the way for many Petersons TDs. Pick : Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio St Alternate pick : Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St. 24. Cincinnati Bengals The Bengals are losing some quality WRs in free agency sot hey might be interested to add one in the first round. Will Fuller had a pretty good combine but I don’t think its a Bengals type of pick. I’m not a big fan of Doctson I think he doesn’t get open a lot all by himself and he looks better because of the schemes. Domata Peko has slowed down a bit and this draft class is the best one to get a solid D-Line player but they could wait to grab one in the 2nd round. Rey Maualuga and Vortaze Burfict had some injuries and the Bengals will just pick the best player on their board at this point. I think it all comes down to who they like most between Ragland and Lee but I think they need a bit more speed so they’ll go with Lee. Pick : Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St. Alternate pick : Reggie Ragland, LB, Alabama 25. Pittsburgh Steelers Could this draft have fell better for the Steelers ? They have lots of options here at #25. They could pick Jason Spriggs who had a fantastic combine but I think they have more needs on defense and their offense is explosive enough The Steelers fans will be very pleased to get a typical Steelers pick. A very high value pick here and a big need as well. Mackensie Alexander or William Jackson III ? Who is it going to be ? I think the Steelers had some bad CBs pick in the last few years so they’ll have some concerns with Jackson III who has HIGH ceilings but can he meet them ? He’s probably more suited for their defense but I think they’ll go with Alexander even if he didn’t make lots of plays in college Pick : Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson Alternate pick : William Jackson III, CB, Houston
  19. The thing I don't like with Hargreaves is his big plays he allowed. He's very aggressive and wasn,t that great at the combine. He looks more 5'9 than 5'11 in my eyes. Reminds me a bit of a young, more talented Webb getting out of blocks and making solid tackles despite is small frame. I've always been more a fan of tall rangy CB who can press but thats only my opinion. By the way I updated the first post I'm not at pick 26
  20. yeah he gets engaged for too long in blocks sometimes but I don't know like you said he looks like a highlight type of player but he looks good. He played pretty good vs good team so I liked that. As for Floyd, he loos very very good on tape but I tampered my expectations because of his weight and frame. I think he won't be able to do what he does in the NFL right away. He will need some times to adjust and put up some weight
  21. My top 10 would look like this : 1- Ramsey 2- Myles Jack 3- Tunsil 4- Bosa 5- Buckner 6- Elliot 7- Hargreaves 8- Wentz 9- Stanley (based on tape... but he will fall a bit after his cone drill) 10- Goff (based on tape Goff is higher. he looks great on tape. he's not that accurate under pressure and I don,t like that. Smaller hands and body not that strong of a passer so a team playing in a dome is a better fit) I took Jaylon Smith out but based on tape he's top 10 thats for sure. Poor guy
  22. This is one of the most realistict one. My dream scenario (who is 99 impossible to happen) is - Ramsey/Spriggs after they signed a CB in the Free Agents (Sean Smith, Amukamara or Janoris Jenkis)
  23. Ramsey said he view himself playing CB in the NFL. Maybe they'll use him a bit like Tyrann Mathieu in Arizona. I see him more safety as he's aging but CB early on
  24. I like Shepard as well. Nice route runners and explosives in and out of his cuts. Treadwell didn't run the 40 because I heard he was going to run 4,7 and it would hurt his draft stock. I heard he's training real hard to get in the 4,6 range at his pro day. At the end of the day he's got a good catch radius and shoulnt go out of the first round but I don't see any WRs in the top 15 picks
  25. Thanks guys. It might not be Bosa but one thing is sure : The Ravens are not trading down or reaching. They have a chance to get a top5 player at 6. - Decosta said at the Combine the Raven targeted that one or 2 players are going to fall to them - At least 1 QB is going to be taken in the first 5 picks. - Tunsil will go in the top 5 as well. So the Ravens board might look like this : 1. Ramsey 2. Jack 3. Bosa 4. Buckner If Tunsil and one QB are out, they are sure to get one of these 4. They released Canty and Darryl. Any of these 4 would be BPA and fit a need.
