  1. I'll bring this thread back because some nice discussions are being starter about DBs prospect. What would your CB rankings be from 1 to 10 ? Gotta admit the more I watch Eli Apple, the more I don't know if he has what it takes. Sometimes its gotta be his head I don't know his assignements but he plays way too off when he should be pressing and he looks lost. He reminds me a bit of Jimmy Smith in his first 1-2 years he was playing so off the WR and wasn't locating the ball he just didn't want to make any mistake. He's a lot better now. Must be studying the game or something My CB ranking : 1- Ramsey (yes he's a really good CB as well) 2- VH3 (he's got all the skills, most of the weaknesses are coachable but I doubt he becomes a better tackler) 3- Alexander (I really like him he could end up the best man to man CB of this year draft) 4- Eli Apple 5- WJ3 (2nd round don't think he's going in the 1st) 6- Artie Burns (I like him as well) 7- Fuller (gotta watch some tapes, some says he's very good, others don't like him) 8- Cyrus Jones (I live what I see. He won't be an outside CB but can do it all in the slot and return game) 9- Harlan Miller (boom or bust type. will mostly be a slot CB but with the new speedy slot WRs every team needs one. Could have picked Sanchez) 10- Rashard Robinson (red flag but the potential is there. wanted to make a splash with my last two pick lol) I'm really not sold on these guys : Howard (not agile enough imo) Canady (got all the tools but problem seems in his head)
  2. I really doubt your first 3 picks are there when the Ravens are on the clock. But would be good. I'm not a big fan of Spence but he's good at what he does. I think I'd prefer CB in the high 2nd and pass rush in the 4th Good job by the way
  3. Yeah I saw that yesterday. The first 6-7 picks look good and realistic. Then I saw the Saints taking a WR ? Come on their D-Line is the worst of the country. ?Ragland to the Rams ? Could be a need but I don't think I'd pick him as soon as 15 when some great players still on the board. Cocklin, Decker,Coleman,
  4. Here's my latest dream scenario. wanted to keep it "a bit" realistic even if I know Jack wouldnt slip that far. 6 : R1P6 - ILB- MYLES JACK, UCLA 36: R2P5 -CB- WILLIAM JACKSON III, HOUSTON 70: R3P7 -34 DE CHRIS JONES, MISSISSIPPI STATE 105: R4P6 - 34 OLB- YANNICK NGAKOUE, MARYLAND 131: R4P32 -OT- WILLIE BEAVERS, WESTERN MICHIGAN 133: R4P34 -G- CONNOR MCGOVERN, MISSOURI 135: R4P36 -34 OLB- DADI LHOMME NICOLAS, VIRGINIA TECH 183: R6P7 –S- DEANDRE HOUSTON-CARSON, WILLIAM & MARY 210: R6P34 - G/OT- JOE DAHL, WASHINGTON STATE
  5. Ogbah or Floyd ? Floyd added 15 lbs at the combine and was blazing fast. But Ogbah is bigger and could filled Sizzle spot a bit more. Floyd is more Dooms spot. I'm starting to belieev 1 of the 2 might be available at the top of the 2nd round along with Spence
  6. I'll trust your word on it. I haven't seen him at all. I've only read somewhere is in the Top players to end up a bust of this year draft
  7. Thats exactly how I see it. The only way I see the Ravens trading back is only if the top 5 players are gone. And it would surprise me A LOT if the Browns don't go with Wentz. Buckner isn't the best fit in Dallas and Jacksonville. He could go to the Chargers but I doubt they pass Tunsil or Ramsey. Unless the Chargers shock the world and pick Buckner, I think the Ravens will get one of Buckner or Bosa. Jerry Jones can also pick Zeke. We never know. So the chances are still high the Ravens get a top 5 pick
  8. Love it nice job Grim. I'd love to bring a training camp battle at LG. Westerman could be in the mix as well. Don't know much about Sean Davis can he return punt ? I like Cyrus Jones because he would filled the returner spot as well as slot CB right away. Sheldon Day I'm with you he brings nice inside pressure. I love Beavers feet as well. As for the guy playing with Mosley, I'm a bit high on Deion Jones, maybe I'm the only one but he looks like a BALLER.
  9. The thing with VH3 at 6.... is they could maybe get him at 12-15. Not a lot of teams will target CB from 7 to 12. So if the nightmare scenario happens and the top 5 is gone, I'd trade down. The Rams will be looking HARD at Goff/Wentz since the Browns didn't draft one and they have two 2nd picks. But landing VH3 at 15 might be dreaming. I think the biggest needs are CB and Pass rusher. If Buckner is gone, 3-4 DEs can be found later. Good CBs can be found in round 1-3. Good pass rushers ? They will go sooner. I know some project will be available in round 3-4 (Correa, Ngakoue) but we're not talking Dodd or Floyd skills. 7- 49ers : They go QB or O-Line 8- Eagles : I don't see them going CB 9- Buccs : They could go CB but they added Grimes. they need pass rush bad so I see Dodd 10- giants : fixed a lot of problems on D.. I could see Stanley or Zeke or even WR or Lee 11- bears : stanley or lawson or zeke 12- saints : they'll go CB or d-line. probably d-line their biggest need 13- dolphins : dodd or VH3 or even o-line or zeke 14- raiders : VH3 or Apple or Zeke if still there 15- Rams : ?? Still, I could see one of them available at 15 - Dodd - Floyd - Apple - VH3 At this point, I'd be very happy to go with a Pass rusher at 15 (Ravens 1st (6th) vs Rams 1st (15th) + Rams 2nd (43th) or (45th) they got two + Rams 3rd (76th). . Gives weapons to trade back in the end of the first for : - W. Jackson - Alexander - Spriggs
  10. I really like him as well. But he would need a year or two to bulk up to play in the 3-4. Right now looks like he's a better fit in a blitzing 4-3 schemes. He's got great pass rush moves but would need to add at least 15-20 lbs to be an effective 3 downs player. Right out of the gate, he could be a very good 3rd and long passing situations blitzer who can move around quite a bit.
  11. I'm pretty confident Stanley isn't a Ozzie's type of player. First, OT isn't a big need : cutting Monroe would still carry a high deadcap number. So they'll probably try to draft a late round OT like Beavers and try to develop him with Monroe/Hurst this season. Second, there are some rumors that Stanley doesn't like football very much. So if the Ravens crew (who are good in interviews) believe he's not 100% commited, they won't take him with the 6th pick. Also the Ravens like their OT to be good run blocker as well and he's not really a fit. I think at 6th, there are a lot of options that could help the Ravens right away. Keeping Monroe and hoping for a paycut and drafting a 3-4 DE or ILB or CB who could be start would be better moves imo. Pass rusher can also be an option with the uncertainty of Suggs injury and Dooms is getting older as well. Not a lot of depth at that position so I see the Ravens draftting at least 2 pass rushers (maybe signing one in Training Camp cuts)
  12. Here's my last one... If the Ravens can pull this off I'd be very happy. 6: R1P6 -34 DE- DEFOREST BUCKNER, OREGON (Cantys replacement) 36: R2P5 – CB- MACKENSIE ALEXANDER, CLEMSON (shutdown CB - doubt he falls there) 70: R3P7 -WR- STERLING SHEPARD, OKLAHOMA (stud move the chain WR) 105: R4P6 – G- CHRISTIAN WESTERMAN, ARIZONA STATE (zone block Guard, will fight with Jensen for starting LG) 131: R4P32 -34 ILB DEION JONES, LSU (coverage ILB to play the passing downs with Mosley) 133: R4P34 - 34OLB- KAMALEI CORREA, BOISE STATE (needs work but could be a diamond. gotta bulk but pass rush specialist early on) 135: R4P36 -OT- WILLIE BEAVERS, WESTERN MICHIGAN (will probably go out sooner but nice potentiel. will learn behind Monroe) 197: R6P21 -C- ISAAC SEUMALO, OREGON STATE (nice pro ready versatile. can play all positions on O-Line) 210: R6P34 34 OLB- ALEX MCCALISTER, FLORIDA (another project pass rusher specialist) 244: R7P22 -34 ILB- ANTONIO MORRISON, FLORIDA (2 downs LB to play the run beside Mosley - doubt he falls there)
  13. I mean it would require some real medical work before a team draft Jaylon. It could be a Lattimore type of injury. At the end of the day, top 3 pick is fantasy imo. Like Joey pointed out a few times, he doensn't engage blocker. He still good at it but when he engages, he's a magnet and can't get out. When untouched he's very very good. So I beliebe he would be better playing a mike in a 4-3 with 2 big DTs
  14. I really like Dodd. He has HIGH upside. But at 4 its a bit of a reach. I don't think he's Pro Ready and picking at 4 you want a guy who can play right away. Bosa is more NFL ready even if he maybe doenst have double digit sack potentiel unlike Dodd but he's much better at stopping the run. I think Dodd is a great fit for the Buccs tho
  15. Treadwell ? no way at 6. He will drop close to 17-20. He didn't run the 40 because he would have run 4,7. Waiting for his pro day to get in 4,6ish
  16. Spriggs is the hot shot right now. He'll probably rise in the 1st round. Too bad because he fits the Ravens needs/schemes a LOT. So I went back at my notes to see if another pass blocking/zone OT could be available to the Ravens late in the draft. I don't have lots of notes on Dahl but what are your thoughts ? I heard he looked bad at the Senior Bowl which isn't a good thing. He'll probably move to Guard but gives the flexibility. If we can land him in the 5th I think he could be a nice project to work with. When healthy he was pretty good but his tapes aren't that good.
  17. Three teams keeping close tabs on former Pro Bowl safety Eric Weddle - Ravens - Cowboys - Steelers
  18. I understand this is not really realistic. But this might be my best one so far. Fills a lot of needs. Had to do lots of trades tho lol. 17: R1P17 – CB - VERNON HARGREAVES III, FLORIDA. 36: R2P5 - 34 OLB - KEVIN DODD, CLEMSON High talent pass rusher will start as a situational pass rusher 50: R2P19 - S/CB. - VONN BELL, OHIO STATE 70: R3P7 - G - CHRISTIAN WESTERMAN, ARIZONA STATE Fits our schemes really well. K.O replacement. 73: R3P10 – 34 DE - SHELDON DAY, NOTRE DAME Brings lots of pressure from the interior. Cantys spot. 75: R3P12 – WR- RASHARD HIGGINS, COLORADO STATE Shifty slot WR. The Campanaro we never had because of injuries. 105: R4P6 – CB- CYRUS JONES, ALABAMA 134: R4P35 – 34 OLB- YANNICK NGAKOUE, MARYLAND Hometown boy who can learn behind Sizzle/Doom 135: R4P36 – ILB- DEION JONES, LSU Coverage LB to help on passing downs 178: R5P39 – OT/G- JOE DAHL, WASHINGTON STATE 185: R6P7 – C- ISAAC SEUMALO, OREGON STATE. Can play all positions on the O-Line and Pro ready if the medical checks out. Worth it in the 6th.
  19. Would you guys be interested in Weddle on a 1 or 2 years deal ? Let the youngers develop and help mentor Brooks. Webb will be more of a hybrid than a full time safety. Won't hurt too much since the cap is suppose to increase A LOT in the next few yeards and he'll be gone. Would help the secondary a lot. he's a nice tackler what we didnt have for a long time in the secondary.
  20. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE playmakers. But if you're to agressive and get beat for TDs on double moves twice in a game and get 1 pick.... you still gave up 14. I love CBs who can press and shadow WRs. Interceptions will come with great schemes and zone underneath more than 1 on 1 man to man on the outside. Its a bit risky. VH3 will need to learn how to read WRs hips and not jump on every routes
  21. I like Ifedi. I think Spriggs helped his stock a LOT with the Combine but he got destroyed in 1 on 1 drills against high caliber player. He didn't face a lot of great pass rushers this season let's face it. He's more of a project right now but ceilings are there Edit : I made a mistake for some reason lol it was Dahl who struggled. Spriggs was the best O-line at the senior bowl. too many hours invested lastely I gottas sleep
  22. I'm not a big fan of Spence in the 1st round. But in the 2nd round I'd take him. He's a one trick pony but he's really good at it. But if the Ravens draft him, with the poor showing he had in the interviews at the combine, I'd hope they mentor him A LOT. I don't know make him live with a strong veteran for the first year or something so he doenst get in trouble. He Has ALL the TOOLS but man he can be stupid sometimes. Don't need another Kindle 2.0
  23. I really really doubt that Browns won't take a QB. Hue Jackson is a QB coach. He LOVES big bodied QB. Why in hell they will get Kaep instead of a new guy who he can work with from day 1. Wentz will go to the Browns I'm pretty sure of this. Even if they trade for Kaep, I think they will want to draft a QB to develop. Rumors getting strong about Browns trading a 3th for Kaep only if he takes a paycut
  24. I compared JJ to Buckner only because JJ is the best if not the best DE at putting interior pressure even when facing double teams thats all. I said Buckner isn't so efficient facing double team (in college). The two don't compare at all.
  25. Pretty sure the Jags are going for Jack.. SD for Ramsey. Which means Jerry Jones will decide go with Elliot or Bosa or maybe Goff
