I've learned that the NFL officiating gets worse with each succeeding year, and that steps taken to make the game safer have done nothing to stop the increase in season-ending injuries.

We have a chance to play the role of spoiler for any/all of our remaining games, as all these teams are in playoff contention/seeding. Best would be to beat Pittsburgh and kick them out of the playoffs though - oh, to dream......

Why no official word from the FO on this?  Don't understand the move; I guess they're prepping for next year preseason backup QB competition.  Seriously though, Renner looked good in preseason, don't know why we don't give him a chance with the remaining games - split time with Claussen.

Now, if only we had someone to throw to him (and the others)....

Just play Renner !! He should've been our backup all along.

I think we can rely on them more in the next few games to help minimize Schaub's propensity for INTs. The make-shift O-line did a good job last night too. There's some hope for next year - get these young guys (all of them) work the rest of this year and they'll be that much better for next year's run.

How many games now is that this year that have been decided on the last play? Nerve racking year; makes it interesting though since we won't make the playoffs. Now we just have to play spoiler and beat Pitt when they come to town to knock them out of the playoffs!

Let's hope he has the fire to be a disruptive force! We need someone on D to put some fear and swagger back. Thought KLM would have made more noise, or even Carl Davies, but they've been real quiet of late. Canty and Brandon Williams seem the only ones on the front consistently causing problems for opponents.

Fischer is a tool - he should worry more about the health of his own quarterback. The league should fine him for letting Keenum continue to play when he obviously had an issue.

Oh, just like when Harbaugh called Perriman's injury a bruise, and he'd be out for a couple of days. Yeah, I'll take his assessment of Tucker's kicking - NOT.

Can't blame Tuck - face it, without him, we would be 0-10. 3 end of game winners (our only wins thus far).

Was a little surprised when Renner was let go; he looked good in preseason. Bring him back (at least on PS).

At least this injury is a known quantity. With Perriman, first we heard it was a bruise, then a strain, and finally, it became a tear. Torn ACLs (& MCLs) have a fairly set standard protocol for rehab/recovery, so it should be pretty easy to map out Joe's return (barring unforeseen complications). Here's to getting all our injured players back on the field! Looking forward to next draft and year (can't be any worse than this has been).
