  1. I want to draft a first round wr and keep pitta only and I say only if the price is right. Plus if his signing is a toss up between someone like resigning D. SMITH or finding a true free safety. I say go with Dickson he will come for pennies compared to pitta even with the injury.

If we do that, we risk another season like the one we just finished.

  2.

I wouldn't even go so far as to call that a rumor. That's just some blogger saying he thinks Turner would be a good fit. Purely speculation.

And, I don't want Turner. Outside of his time in Dallas when he had an all-star cast to work with, his resume is generally unimpressive.

  3. In 2003, his offense was 3rd in rushing, 22nd in passing, and 7th overall. They scored the 10th most points in the league.

In 2004, his offense was 4th in rushing, 6th in passing, and 5th overall. They scored the 9th most points in the league.

In 2005, his offense was 2nd in rushing. 18th in passing, and 5th overall. They scored the 7th most points in the league.

Those are just his three most recent years. He was there as the OC from 1995-2005. In that time, the Broncos won three Superbowls and were very well known for their offense.

Don't judge his ability as an OC based on his ability as a HC. He's more than able.

I kind of want to stick with Caldwell, but I'd be more than happy with Kubiak.

  4. While flawed, Anchorman 2 is still pretty good.  But there are some serious problems with it, the primary one being that there are WAY too many story threads.  I appreciated what they're trying to do and their not so veiled attack at Fox News, but there's a stretch in the second half of the movie where it's 30 minutes with no laughs at all.  They tried recreating too many scenes from the first movie, most of them were not so good.  One of them was actually better, and you'll know which one it is when you see it.

Overall, it's worth the watch but it's not anywhere near as good as the first and I don't remember any significant quotes from it.  They might have been better off making this a Netflix series or sticking to only a few story threads.

I loved it, just saw it today.

Agree with the too many story lines bit. There was way too much going on, story line wise and the "undercover" themes and such, like the attack on Fox News (which I loved ;) )

Hilarious, thought provoking, and great, but a bit too busy.

  5. Yeah, it did seem odd. But I thought their whole D played pretty well despite the injuries.

Torrey kinda stunk it up at times.  Jones' 6 catches for 80 wasn't too shabby. It seemed like Pitta was out for quite a while, right? I think he only caught 1 or two and was off the field for a few possessions. Hope he's OK.

I'll give Coby credit for sure, he made some clutch catches that extended drives. We don't win without his catch in the last drive.

We might have been resting Pitta for Sunday's game. Who knows? He's probably not in 100% game shape yet and needed a limited game after Minnesota.

  6. I don't know, he's looked pretty sharp lately. Actually he's been playing much better than Torrey IMO.

The WR position is not the source of the Ravens' offensive woes. It has been the lack of a dependable TE(great to have Pitta back), having the worst running game in the history of the NFL and fielding a sieve of an O line. Considering these factors, it's actually pretty amazing that the passing game has been as good as it has been and along with some decent defensive play, it's the reason we have been able to rescue the season.

I get the whole money thing, to a point. Should he be paid as a premier receiver? NO.  Should he be paid as an exclusive ST player, definitely not. Jacoby made clutch catches last year that allowed us to move through the [profanity deleted] and win the SB. He has improved as a WR this year and has made key catches in many wins this year. Obviously he should be paid somewhere in between the two for a 2 or 3 year deal. He's a viable, and more importantly, familiar option for Joe that can bridge the time while we develop the young guys we have or the guy we draft next year.

Like hell it isn't, haha. They could barely do a thing against Detroit's #3 and 4 CBs.

  7. Thats opinion. They havent done it with the consistency that Jones has, but whatever. You say Im blinded by the big play and I say you're blinded by some sorta hatred for the dude. I never said break the bank, never said he is a nasty #2 or half of what you've stated. I dont think he's gonna ask for a ton, given his age, but I have nothing to back that up or stamp it as fact.

He'll be back (IMO) and I love that he will be!!!

    Word.

  8. Look at his per game performance then. He's played in 10 games, 9 where he was essentially at full health so if you look at just those 9 games it's not #2 production any way you slice it. He has topped 4 receptions once all season against Detroit. If he was a consistent WR, you think I am having this conversation?

Never said he was consistent or a #2. He's a great #3 though, and he'll be back at the right price.

  9. Again WR is not a priority this year.  Why would they draft a WR in the first round when they desperately need to improve the OL and DL?

Plus, if Aaron Mellette is not in Harbaughs infamous doghouse he looks to be a deep threat with good hands.

Because we've allowed a combined five sacks against the likes of Pittsburgh, Minnesota, and Detroit. Just five. Yet, Flacco has been unable to light up the scoreboards because his receivers are mediocre.

The offensive line has figured out pass protection. Offensive line needs to run block better and it should be improved, but WR is by no means not a priority.
