  1. My gut feeling says that Boldin is not that naive. If we heard rumblings of him being cut or traded, I feel like he would know too.
  2. Why is everyone so surprised? I thought everyone realized Boldin might be gone this off-season? At least we got something for him. Yeah, sure, only a 6th round pick. That's what 31 year old and declining receivers are worth. I wish he could have stayed, but he wasn't worth the cap hit. We'll get by.
  3. Trading Boldin? Better than cutting him, I must say.
  4. Pitta and Torrey are more important than Q to the offense going forward.
  5. Quoted for truth
  6. They'll never be as good as Boldin if they don't get a chance.
  7. Ozzie and Harbs are the biggest advocates in the league of the "next man up" philosophy. We'll need to see Doss, Jones, and lil Q to step up. I'm going to try and have faith in Ozzie, but I'm skeptical of that group. But you guys know as well as I do, every time Ozzie scares the crap out of us like this, he almost always makes up for it. We'll see how it goes, but for now I'll abide by our favorite mantra: In Ozzie We Trust.
  8. It's not exactly fair, but it is a business. Seriously, I like Boldin too, but you guys have gotta realize it's a business. Boldin is declining, and not worth a 7.5 million cap hit. Ellerbe, however, is young and improving. Simply put, Ellerbe is a better investment at this point, and Boldin is not. I don't see why that's such a hard concept to grasp.
  9. If we keep Boldin, we lose young players. Simple as that. Do we lose future players for a guy who will be retired soon? Nope! Ozzie is always looking to the future and the fact is Q won't be around in three years, whether he's cut now or later. Ellerbe, Pitta, Dickson, and others could be here in three years. Boldin won't.
  10. Did you just say that three backers who have yet to play a down in the NFL are better than Ellerbe? That is so precious.
  11. Yeah, as much as I think Q will be cut, I really don't want him to. I have little faith in the guys behind him.
  12. AT THIS POINT, we are releasing players to make room for Ellerbe, Reed, and MAYBE McKinnie. Wow!!! I actually had to explain that to you? Funny!
  13. Completely agree!!! I would be upset if we cut him, but I understand the reasoning behind it. I agree with this as well. We'll definitely have a downgraded receiving core.
  14. Lol you're so off base. Joe is making less than 7 million this year. As far as the upcoming season goes, how the hell is that robbing Q and overpaying Joe? If Q makes the salary he is under contract for, they will make the same amount this season. Good try! Play again?
  15. Sorry, just no. I love Q but the fact is he is hardly ever open.
  16. I can vouch for this. Boldin is slow as hell and only gets truly open against zone coverage.
  17. If Torrey isn't good at getting separation, then Boldin might as well be running routes in a wheelchair. Boldin gets ZERO separation and the only reason he gets as many catches as he does is because he has outstanding body control, perfect hands, and Joe trusts him.
  18. Well, I'm sure it will affect you in some way whether you take it before or after. I don't know the ingredients or anything about it so I don't know. So you work out, what, five days a week? And take six pills a day? Just make sure to take a month off from that stuff every once in a while and drink plenty of water while doing it. It will tear your stomach up!
  19. I thought I'd be a pal and convert it for you.
  20. I'd say maybe 20-30 meters between cones
  21. Yeah, that. Doing short sprints and agility drills would help too. Rugby combines explosion with endurance, so I have a really fun drill you could do. Sprint the distance between two telephone poles, jog to the next pole, sprint to the next, jog to the next. Really good for developing power and endurance. I'm not sure what it's like overseas, but over here it is frowned upon to perform cleans when not on a platform. It's proper gym etiquette. Here is a video featuring cleans on a platform. I don't know if your gym has a platform like that, but that's typically what you do hang cleans on. It might be to help your muscles' recovery process.
  22. If your gym has platforms, I would suggest hang cleans. If they have boxes, do box jumps. If neither, do a lot of plyometrics. You know, tuck jumps, jump squats, jump lunges, etc.
  23. Haven't seen Heat but as a Johnny Depp fan boy, I love Donnie Brasco.
  24. Standalone. It's actually the prequel to LOTR, so it might help you understand LOTR better.
