  1. Not necessarily. Who said Hostler is leaving? Kubiak may go and find a new WR coach. Another idea is that Shanahan could coach WRs (he's done it before) and Kubiak doubles as OC and QB coach
  2. I think we would keep Castillo and Dennison. We'd have two great OL coaches working together, and if Dennison leaves for another OC position, we'd still have Castillo. I'd love bringing in Dennison as he is a Gibbs disciple, and his ZBS is pretty great. The Gibbs style ZBS, from what I've read and heard, is more aggressive and less reactionary than other versions. I like that a lot. And yes, those people can most definitely kick rocks.
  3. Really don't want my hopes to get too high but typically if Wilson and Schefter report it, it's the gospel. I think we not only have our OC, but our offensive staff too
  4. Lol we took half of the Texans coaching staff from 2009
  5. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 5m Ravens trying to assemble star-studded offensive coaching staff with Gary Kubiak, Rick Dennison, Kyle Shanahan. Will not please Cleveland. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 9m Former Texans HC Gary Kubiak has emerged as favorite for Ravens OC job. Kubiak and Rick Dennison met Sunday in Baltimore w/ Ravens officials
  6. Link is dead Edit: Aaron Wilson reports it too. Kubiak please oh my god I'm giddy
  7. I love that! Gibbs is one of the best OL coaches of all time
  8. Just looked into his OC work in Denver. They improved each year he was there
  9. I wouldn't go that far yet Was Dennison particularly successful in Denver or Houston?
  10. Dennison is an interesting development. I love having an OC with experience with the OL.
  11. If it comes from Wilson, it's the gospel. Pretty much fact right there. Lol Preston isn't as bad as people make him sound, but his sources aren't as good, and I question his journalistic ethics at times.
  12. Lol everyone remembers his (just five) catches against blown coverages in the playoffs but nobody wants to talk about him having one measly catch against Cincy in week 17 when the playoffs were on the line.
  13. Can we make it a rule that everyone watches that video before they even type ZBS? Thanks for sharing, that was a great and informative watch. Gibbs is the man
  14. I think so. I doubt we do a third.
  15. Unless they go for third interviews, we'll have a decision within days. I think we'll know our new OC by Tuesday at the very latest. I won't rule out the decision being made today, but I think the decision is officially made on Monday.
  16. In addition, Bisciotti said that the players are on good terms with Castillo now. So there's that
  17. In this case, yeah. Caldwell was capable of being an OC and QB coach. He helped Flacco a lot as a QB coach, and of course he coordinated the offense. However, I don't know if I want any of these candidates to double up as OC/QB coach. Hostler was a QB coach for two years and Alex Smith did improve a decent bit from year one to year two. I don't think I trust Hostler to do that now, though. Shanahan is good at coming up with a scheme, but I don't know if he's that good as a teacher at QB. I think I'd like for the team to bring in a QB coach if he's the pick. I'd love for Zorn to come back as QB coach. Zorn's a west coast guy and so it Shanahan. Perfect fit, If Wilson is the OC, it's no question we need a QB coach
  18. You completely missed the point and I don't even know what this reply is referring to! Harbaugh told the reporter that the staff is not set and he published it. Fact. I'm done trying to convince you that your rhetoric is flawed. Anyway! If we're going to discuss intelligently, Harbs implied that the offensive staff could be influenced after the OC is hired. Does anyone think Shanahan might try and bring his own assistants in? Based on some reports, I think he might. Some report said he liked to surround himself with his guys
  19. Lmao, he interviewed Harbaugh and wrote an article. That's what journalists do. So, do you make up how people do their job now? For some reason, I'm inclined to think that the sports journalist for the official team website wouldn't just make something up about what the coach said... But that doesn't fit your agenda, so believe what you want.
  20. "The final decision on hiring a quarterbacks coach will be made once the Ravens decide on an offensive coordinator and then build an offensive staff that best fits the group." http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/John-Harbaugh-Names-Four-Offensive-Coordinator-Candidates/77e00716-8cad-4ae6-a1cb-8b94da757191 That implies to me that the offensive staff is not guaranteed at the moment 1: How is changing his title from run game coordinator to offensive line coach a promotion? It's not, lol. Harbaugh literally said he would do all the same things he did last year....... 2. If you think Harbaugh is okay with mediocrity then you are very sadly mistaken.
  21. Yeah, except Harbs said that the OC can build his own staff.... I mean, the proof is in the pudding here... Smh this is just unfounded and baseless. Lol!
  22. He more recently said that the new OC can build has own staff. When he said Castillo would be here next season, Caldwell was still the OC... So...
  23. Gotcha. Thanks guys
  24. Source? Didn't find anything on his twitter
  25. Clearly, you weren't paying attention when Harbaugh stated that the OC the team decides on will be allowed to assemble his own staff...
