Yeah i know Winston probably isn't completely worth #10 overall but...of the 23 QBs i deemed draftable (17 that were still on the board), i liked his situation best and if he can regain his 2013 form then he could be a steal. Like i said: i realize its early for him but considering i have 45 picks until my next i don't believe he'd be available then and the drop off is huge. If i could have traded back (or up in the second) then i would have.
Well that is interesting
If i could've traded back i would've
I'm taking a chance on Winston. He's got the weapons, he's got a good coach in Lovie, and i actually like the Bucs' defense going into next season.
With the 10th Pick, the African Swallows select

Jameis Winston, QB
Don't get why theres hate for the Robert Quinn pick, he's easily deserving of a top 10 pick considering Rodgers and Flacco are gone. He was my target at 10
This is far too harsh, though. Will he be able to play in the NFL in coverage or on the outside with what we saw in College? No. I wouldn't knock his instincts though, and I don't personally think I saw enough of a reason to knock his motor. He doesn't have great speed, but I don't think the lack of a high gear means he was giving up.
All in all he is deserving of a go at it. The odds are against him and he'll have to improve his game significantly to stick at the NFL level. I'm happy it's with the Ravens though!
I never said he wasn't deserving of a chance, all players deserve a shot. He asked me what my "opposing" views were so thats all i gave.
Haha ok? Yes I've seen his tape, why else would I say I like him? He has good instincts and is solid against the run. Too slow for man coverage against athletic tight ends, but he plays well in the zone. He isn't flashy, but he does a lot of things well. He's a solid tackler he reminds me someway of Vontaze Burfict without the piss poor character. I like debate and open to hearing opposing views so what did you see on the tape?
average to below average instincts, no coverage skills whatsoever and he isn't a sure tackler either, especially on the outside, and worst of all he has no motor, once he thinks theres no way for him to get to the ball carrier he gives up and becomes a spectator.
I don't anticipate him being suspended.
all reports are saying he will be next week though
I really like Magee and Depriest. The great thing about Magee is he has a lot of tread on the tires. He will need some work, but he could work out to be a great compliment. Depriest is really the best compliment to mosely. He's a real run stuffer. While smith is around Depriest has time to get polished and I think he'd be better suited to take over than brown. Brown has potential, but he's just too small and weak to play in the box.
have you seen any of DePriest' tape? if he's our best option to take over for Daryl then we are in trouble

Not sure if 17 is screwed in the order or not. Higher than last year at least.
I think being as close to the middle as possible is probably best, sure you have to wait a bit for your first pick but after that you won't have to wait nearly as long periods as the people picking first or last
This one?
but no Farva?!?!?!?!
tough break for the kid, he'll go to IR and have shot next year. Could be worse though.
An argument can be made that most of our picks were steals, as always. Maxx Williams is easily the best TE and we got his at the tail end of the second, for some Carl Davis was a borderline first rounder and somehow we got him in the third, personally i think Za'Darius Smith was a big steal in the 4th (i liked him more than Dupree because he was more consistent and well rounded, no doubt Dupree has a higher ceiling but i was never a big fan of his) as was Allen. Some might even say Perriman was a steal in the first, I don't think so, 26 was about right for him in my opinion.
Monroe is an interesting guy, gets penetration no problem but i question his play strength. I just watched a tiny bit of tape on him and it seemed like if he didn't immediately get penetration he got pushed around. We'll see how he does if he gets signed after the try out
But he's a Pro Bowler! Seriously though, but Joe on that bengals team and nobody could stop them.
definitive proof the pro bowl is irrelevant now - Dalton's been to two now
I can see Mosley's ranking, he played great but he did make his fair share of rookie mistakes, not a lot but they happened. Flacco's ranking though is ludicrous, this is his lowest ranking since they started making the list. They must've compiled the list before the draft but still he should have ranked higher regardless
Surprised nobody mentioned this yet, but we signed the other ECU WR across from Justin Hardy, Cam Worthy, to a three-year deal. Aaron Wilson is reporting it, anyway.
Pretty nice pick-up, and makes our WR competition even tougher. Man, it's going to be tough to crack the line-up for these guys.
Very interesting prospect, looks pretty much identical to Aiken to me. Like a poor mans Strong. Great at contested catches, great body control, good hands. Hard to say how he'll do though
Sure, i guess I'll jump in
Uhhh, Crockett Gillmore?!
thats just me not paying attention, pay no mind

Waller flashed at times but is undeniably a project player, he could use a year on the practice squad. Will another team steal him? possibly, but i doubt any team will want to reserve a roster spot for him. If there's an injury i suspect he will be the one called up. I find it hard to believe Camp will make it to the regular season if he gets injured again. Guy has undeniable potential but its all for nothing if he can't stay healthy. We are so crowded at WR now, lots of guys with tons of potential, that if we have to see a guy go i think it'll be Camp, We've shown that we aren't afraid to let 7th rounders go if we have to.
But i think we could easily carry 6 or even 7 receivers going into the season.
Yep, they both returned but mostly punts. I thought RavensFanMania meant KR specifically.
they've both returned kicks before as well, and i don't recall Camp ever returning a kick last year, only punts even in the preseason
UDFA DeAndre Carter
I'm not sure if we risk 1st rounder on returns but Ravens might be tempted to utilize Perriman's speed.
Asa as well, i still remember his punt return a few years back

Webb has experience returning as well

but to be fair, Manuel was a reach at 15 (i think it was 15) and Bridgewater was the 32nd pick, so its a little different
