Glad DJ Foster is now going to play in the Senior Bowl, I'm interested in what he can do. He was supposed to be a big playmaker this year but his position change hurt him. I don't know whether we'd even think about drafting him, as a RB he doesn't provide anything more than Buck but if he can show some playmaking skills during the game he can increase his stock quite a bit.
I bet we'll bring in another vet ILB to take Daryl's place, lots of solid names hitting the market soon. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up back later this offseason like what happened with Canty last year. I feel like this move is us desperately trying to get KO signed, I think its worth it.
If we wanted to look for a safety in FA - Titans cut Michael Griffin and I genuinely am not sure how much he'll go for.
"Fans" don't vote Williams or Koch into pro bowl...want further proof that both the pro bowl has become meaningless and "fans" should get zero say in the process?
Brady got more votes than Newton who is on his way to being the MVP. That is all you need to know about the Pro Bowl.
'All Star' games are a joke in all sports anyways, shouldn't be taken too seriously .. Or offended if our guys don't get in.
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't mind the vacation and extra cash, but who knows. Making a pro bowl also helps guys build their brand.
9ers can't catch a break this year, they shouldn't have run Harbaugh out of town, they would stand a much better chance at turning this mess around
i disagree, Kaep is overrated, he can't carry that team to a winning record and that defense is losing everyone. Multiple retirements plus didn't they lose both of their starting corners? I think at best they break even
No way the 49ers have a winnign record with the Seahawks and Cardinals in the divison. Plus, I think this may be the Ram's year.
I definitely think its the Ram's year, all they were really missing was a starting QB and they just traded for Foles. They've got arguably the best Dline in the game, their linebacking corps will be addressed through the draft and their secondary is just inexperienced, another year they'll be pretty good. All they need now is to patch up that oline
All these re-signings (and the one signing) at safety may mean we won't look for a safety this draft which I'm not necessarily opposed to. I mean we do have Hill, Elan, and Brooks who are still young and very recently drafted, plus we've resigned Levine and newly acquired Lewis, theres a lot of potential in that group, adding another may make us overcrowded
Give me Amos out of those guys
Well, at least we'll have enough safeties to plug in if all our corners get injured again.
Trawick is pretty solid too tho if he gets a chance by learning from the Saftey VETS, Hill and Lewis will better Elam as well. Maybe one or 2 more safteys will be drafted. I dont like the signing of melvin tho.
Can we please make a major change now? We can't get worse, Pees out would be move in the right direction, Trestman is on thin ice as it is.
Considering our recent sobering reminder that Flacco is in fact mortal and can get injured just like anyone else, I really hope we draft a QB at least in the mid rounds. I really hope that guy is Jacoby Brissett from NC State, big guy with a big arm and doesn't make many mistakes, also really good at scrambling and getting out of trouble. I really like the guy and I think he can be had in round 4.
Cuts this year are going to be so tough, I really like a lot of these UDFA signings, wouldn't be surprised if we part ways with a familiar face or two
i could see Mclellab getting cut
All thos receivers gotta fight for they spot... excited to see who proves themselves during TC-preseason
If you stock up on talent, then the top 53 deserve their spots. The coaches doesn't hesitate to cut drafted players.
Hoping for a big day with Mallett behind center...he used to be very promising coming out of college, maybe with a bit of maturity and humility from earlier this season he can get himself together...hoping for a big day from Butler and Aiken
I think he will do well. Don't have huge expectations but I think he does considerably better than the previous 2.
And I would say he exceeded expectations. What say you?
without a doubt he exceeded expectations.
How much cap will we have next offseason? i feel like once all this dead money is gone we will have more cap than we are used to
I feel so bad for the FO, cuts this year are going to be so hard. So much young talent coming in through the draft and i like a lot of these UDFAs, namely Easton, Allen, Worthy, and Monroe. From the looks of things they can all do some real damage given the chance. It seems we'll be waving bye to some familiar faces like Tyson and McClellan to make room.
I think Chip Kelly going to the 49ers changes things a bit as it pertains to the draft. I think he may stick with Kaep (which I think is a big mistake) because Kelly will stay with his high tempo offense and Kaepernick can run, that hasn't changed. In the draft that changes things because they may not target a QB.
I think we can officially say that bringing back Asa was a good move for ST. Blocked FG this week with an absolutely insane jump on the snap and a blocked punt against the Cardinals, I think he's proven his worth on ST.
I'll just say it: I don't think Ross should have been waived. He's been a darn good returner and has contributed some on offense. I think this is a knee jerk reaction, sure he fumbled for the second time this past Sunday but really the first fumble he had shouldn't have been called a fumble in the first place. And what do we need another TE for?
Ross has the history of fumbling the ball as return man. I'm sure The Ravens were aware of that and it happened in a game The Ravens needed to win. He lost his kick return job and wasn't being used much at all as a receiver besides fake end around
Watch A winning team will pick him up and he will succeed
If Gregory is still on the board at our pick (no trade up) would you grab him? I'm seriously doubting i would, guy sounds like he needs a Rolando McClain year to get his life back in order, a couple weeks ago he was a consensus top 5 pick but in light of his problems he may need to just take a year
If Landon Collins is on the board at our pick i can see Ozzie pulling the trigger, as much as I'd hate to take ANOTHER safety. He's a guy that shouldn't be available when we pick but might because the teams that need a safety above us have bigger needs. He's super talented and wouldn't have to start right away, If Elam continues to disappoint and/or Hill can't be retained he'd give us options. Just saying....Ozzie could deem him BPA. Just food for thought
