  1. you forgot the "j/k" after your comment, no problem, I forgive you
  2. Not surprising, when we do the pick the picks game later this month Robinson is definitely going to be on my list.
  3. Depends entirely on how the board has fallen to that point, jumping up to #11 shouldn't be too unbelievably steep, but if the other 4 guys left are also highly rated players at that point then I think the chances of us moving up are slight. But if the difference is pretty big then he's the type of player that I'd move up for in a heartbeat. The fact that it's a deep class doesn't bode well for a move up in my opinion, however.
  4. I hope so, but as I said, I still expect him to go top 10 so I think we'd have to move up to get him - and I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we did honestly, moving 25 spots in the third is a significant jump in value and of course we've get the other 3rd as well, we've definitely got the ammo to do it, I question whether it fits our draft strategy, but it's definitely possible.
  5. He's just one of those guys that isn't a freak athlete and doesn't pop out in these pre-draft tests, those that do tend to rise and people invent problems for guys like Barnett that don't do exceedingly well. He's one of those cases where the tape speaks way louder than these mostly useless tests. Personally he's still my #2 EDGE guy in the draft behind Garrett and don't expect that to change. I expect him to go top 10 still regardless of what the "experts" say, if he falls out of the top 10 then anyone that grabs him is getting a steal.
  6. DJ Killings has been one of my draft gens for forever, he was one of the guys I mentioned in my Later Round/UDFA gems thread from a while back, I just looked up his pro day info, and man, he did great. 4.38 40 yd dash, 22 bench reps. And his teammate Shaq Griffin that was one of the guys that stole the show at the combine, said he was the leader of their DB group at UCF and is a genius in the film room. The guy is undersized at 5'10", but he's one of those guys that I want real bad in the later rounds.
  7. I figured as much, he seems like a stand up guy and considering he wasn't 21 with the Cardinals I don't think he's attached to that number in any way
  8. I wonder what number Jefferson is going to take now that Webb is back
  9. I just went over and watched the Voch Lombardi video since you mentioned and they're pretty much encapsulating what I think about the two of them. McDowell is far more versatile and when he's playing to his potential he's straight up unstoppable anywhere along the line that you want him except 0-tech - which of course he can play if it's a passing downs, I wouldn't put him there against the run regardless of whether he did it at Michigan St. or not. Thomas is solid, he'll go out there and work hard, but he's got physical limitations that I think keep him from playing outside and size limitations that keep him from moving further inside. He's more of a project than some are appreciating, he's the definition of a "tweener" and either needs to put on weight and develop his frame so he can play better vs. the run, or you can cross your fingers and hope he can overcome his problems to play on the outside; personally I'd rather have McDowell and do your best to make him consistent. And I have to agree with them about McDowell also having a higher ceiling than Thomas as well.
  10. I think McDowell is much more scheme versatile than Thomas - I think Thomas' versatility gets overstated often, in my opinion he's a 3-tech with maybe a little bit of ability to play 4-3 DE, but that's it, I hate him anywhere in the 3-4, at EDGE he'd be Courtney Upshaw, at DE I have a hard time seeing him turning into a 3 down player. McDowell on the other hand is fine at 3-tech or DE in either scheme. I do think that McDowell at his absolute best is better than Thomas, but you don't get McDowell at his best with any sort of consistency
  11. By what metric was Collins ever the top ranked guard? I know you're not talking about PFF because they certainly never had him as such, in fact in their end of the season rankings they even acknowledged that the Cowboys line got better when he was replaced with Leary. All I can find with him as the "top ranked guard" was one game from two years ago. Honestly, you keep telling other people to watch tape on him, but I'd wager the only thing you've ever seen of him is his highlight reel. That is literally the only way you can even begin to claim that he's currently a top guard in any facet of the game.
  12. Are you seriously THAT blind? And as if social media has ever been the voice of reason, there's a reason all of the rational individuals around here don't go within 100 yards of the Ravens FB or twitter. Are you honestly so obsessed with him that you can't see any of his problems? you make more excuses for him than his mother.
  13. Literally only one person on this entire forum wants him
  14. I'd never accept that trade. Collins is an inconsistent, raw blocker that is injury prone. Sure he throws out some highlight reel blocks every now and then, but I'd much rather have a guy that shows up every play rather than only once in a while. Also I disagree about the oline class, the OT class is weak, the interior class is pretty damn strong. Lamp, Feeny, and Robinson are all, in my opinion, great guards from day one. And after them there are a lot of guys with lots of potential, i.e. Dion Dawkins and Taylor Moton can play OG or OT and we have always valued versatile linemen, Dorian Johnson is another potentially good OG from the start. Interior line class is fine, gets a bad wrap because of the weak tackles. We can sit back and take a lineman that is just as good as Collins right now considering we could very well have our pick of the entire class. Not to mention the Cowboys will not trade their starting LG, they shopped Collins last year while they still had Leary, not the case anymore, they value their line obviously and won't let it take another step back. The rest of the draft is fine, just that trade is ridiculous. And I'll be your daily reminder that we aren't taking Chad Kelly and he's not a HOF talent.
  15. "La Canfora" Wish him the best in Philly
  16. We have a surplus of solid TEs, but all of them have little to no trade value, excluding Williams - who's value is still pretty low. Nobody is giving us anything for Watson because he's 36 and coming off a season ending injury. Nobody is giving us much for Pitta who's older and is a hit away from being out of the NFL completely because of those hips of his. Nobody is giving up much for Gillmore because he can't stay healthy beyond a game and a half at a time. Nobody is trading for Boyle who's one popped drug test away from being suspended for a season. Waller has been on our practice squad before and wasn't picked up, pretty much tells you all you need to know about his trade value. Williams is the only one that could really net us anything, but we're better off keeping him around because what we'll get isn't close to what we invested in him as a 2nd rounder and he's still got plenty of potential.
  17. I don't know if I'd consider us "win now" mode considering these moves. I think that philosophy would say to keep Jernigan and Zuttah and use our picks to trade for players. I think we're in a weird middle ground.
  18. As much of an advocate I am for trading back, I have to think that upgrading the value of our picks could signal that we're exploring trading up.- "could" being the important word there, not saying we will. Maybe we will trade back and we're just genuinely going to stockpile players from this draft.
  19. lol ok, called out on it by multiple people now suddenly you meant something else. Whatever, literally anything is a better use of my time than this.
  20. Well seeing as how you replied to something you clearly didn't understand says a lot, but whatever you say bud. The guy that didn't even know he was on IR knows everything about him. I'll just hang out over here on Earth, call me when you'd like to visit.
  21. First off, I didn't reply to you, so whatever your first comment was is irrelevant to what I said (though the fact that you didn't know he was put on IR before the season even started shows that you are just talking out of your rear end, and no one should be replying to your insanity) so playing diva that you were just defending yourself after I jumped down your throat is just ridiculous. Yeah he hasn't shown it yet, one season of play as a rookie. But shockingly you still don't understand the concept of players improving season to season. Nobody has compared him to Jernigan, but you, yet you keep accusing everyone else of doing it. The only one around here that needs to take some reading comprehension classes is you clearly. Saying a player is in the conversation to start in his place isn't a comparison, but that really shouldn't be hard to understand.
  22. Well no crap, who ever said he was better than Jernigan. Do you even know where you are right now? And again, is it shocking to you that a rookie performed worse than a second year player
  23. Who'da thought that if the pieces around you are struggling then you will as well, must be a novel idea in your mind. The guy was a rookie, you can't evaluate a rookie accurately, there are any number of examples of players that struggle right away and turn into good player, we've got one starting at CB in case you wanted an example. Who ever said the coaches gave anyone a pass? Trying to stick to the topic at hand buddy
  24. So you're a part of the camp that thinks it's possible to diagnose a player after one year of play on a 5-11 team, got it. You and the other guy are just being straight foolish.
  25. Then you must not watch much football. Makes sense given your other opinions actually.
