  1. Get rid of Pitta. I have a lot of respect for him as a player and he was a big part of our superbowl run. But let's face it, he is not getting any younger, stronger or faster. To make matters worse, Flacco consistently looks for him and neglects open receivers. The only reason Pitta's numbers look impressive this year is because he got targeted a lot more times.
We have drafted 3 TE and if you add Juice to the mix we potentially have 4 who can start at that position. It's high time we start developing younger talent (bar Sizzle, that dude is a stud)

  2. Pitta needs to be off this team. No disrespect, but mediocre Joe looking for his bff on every play is disgraceful. I don't really care if they wanted the record or not, but for Joe this has become habitual, and since we're stuck with him for 2-3 years, this is the only way out. Oh, and did I also mention Pitta sucks at blocking.
While you're at it, fire Marty and Dean Pees as well and keep Harbaugh on a short leash. He seems to not knowing how to motivate players except against the Steelers (which also seems to be diminishing). Also, he is terrible at clock management and his cuteness has cost us critical games that seem to come back and haunt us in the final stretch.

  3. Honestly, this really is an 8-8 team and nothing more, I hope they prove me wrong next Sunday but I just don't see it. Steelers haven't won against us in a long time and they'll be out for revenge with Ben at full strength. If we don't make playoffs this year, Harbaugh should be on the hot seat along with Marty. There's no use going 9-7,8-8 every year and looking around the conference for help in order to get into the post-season. If we do, then all sins are forgiven and if we don't, we end up with a mediocre 1st round pick.

Barring that bonehead call, I think offense was on/off today. Forget Harbaugh, but Flacco should have vetoed that call and called in an audible for run or should have thrown it Out of Bounds. 9 years in the league and he still has that deer in the headlight look. By the looks of this, we should replace him with a robot and still get the same result.

  4. We're playing with a "B" team but the officiating has really gotten atrocious this season and it really is starting to look like they have a vendetta against the Ravens. Now next week we get another NFL darling team. Who wants to bet that none of Sherman's hold or PI's get called. I am someone that runs as far as he can from conspiracy theorists but the league has never looked more fixed than it is this season. And yes.... blown calls do decide games.

  5. To the people wanting Top 5 draft picks, please elaborate on what good would that do. I truly believe this team is not short on talent. The coaching on the other hand is a debacle of epic proportions. Look no further, injuries every year, bad draft choices, penalties, paying too much money to average players, amateur play calling. After Ray, Ed and Birk departures Harbaugh's record has been below .500. Unfortunately for us, he'll ride the SB train for another year along with his good for nothing assistants before Biscotti decides to can him. I predict no playoff appearances for another 2-3 years if things remain status quo.

  6. I think Harbaugh is lying through his teeth. What I think is going on is that he has lost the locker room, and we won't get to know it for at least another 3-4 weeks. It happened in the past with Cam and now it's happening with Pees. His reluctance to get tough on his friends has run it's course and the team has given up on it. What I predict is there is a major coaching overhaul headed for the team, with or without him.

  7. I can just hope that we will be fine next year (of course, no guarantees). One thing that's really starting to bother me is Harbaugh's smugness. This is not a philosophy class, coming out every week, spewing the same BS about life and football is getting old. You are getting paid millions to hold your coaches, staff and players accountable and they are making the same mistakes every week, something's gotta give.

He has had enormous success with this franchise, but I guess the question on everyone's mind is, was that because of him or the legendary leaders we had on the team

  8. $20-25 million in dead money, no leaders on the team, no sense of urgency, penalties, key drops in the end zone, Flacco strolling in the park, oh! and did I mention pathetic draft choices. Everyone hoping for a blockbuster draft next year, it wouldn't matter in the least. We need some big name players that other teams fear not 3rd stringers and rejects doing patch work. One another note, it's becoming a habit every year for 10-12 starters being out for the season, that is totally a coaching flaw.
