  1. Part of what hurts so much is how close we came to winning both of the first two games; we could easily be 2-0 if the offense (in Week 1) and defense (in Week 2) had been just SLIGHTLY better. One positive I have is that the Bengals can still become the Bungles at any given time, so maybe they'll pick Week 3 to fizzle out. Beating the Steelers on the road is pretty much impossible given our first two games. Even if we were to start 1-3 though, it's not impossible to make a big comeback from there. The important thing is that the players stay motivated as long as possible.

  2. New prediction:

    at Denver was a loss

    at Oakland was a loss

    vs. Cincinnati = loss

    at Pittsburgh = loss

    vs. Cleveland = win

    at 49ers = win

    at Cardinals = loss

    vs. Chargers = loss

    vs. Jaguars = win

    vs. Rams = win

    at Cleveland = loss

    at Miami = loss

    vs. Seattle = loss

    vs. Chiefs = win

    vs. Steelers = win

    at Cincinnati = loss

6-10. Our season took an enormous hit with the Oakland game. I'm anything but optimistic right now.

  3. If serious changes don't take place we're very much on our way to 0-4. Maybe we'll get to enjoy some home cooking against the Bengals, if this team can get their act together. It would take a ridiculous miracle to be able to beat Pittsburgh in Week 4; the way I see it, 1-3 is the best scenario, if we get lucky against Cincinnati next week. Very disappointed and surprised with what this team has given us so far.

  4. I'm hoping we dominate this game, but I'll take a win of any kind to rebound from Week 1. The Raiders might be playing extra hard after dropping their first game, so it's especially important not to underestimate them. I don't feel good about playing in Pittsburgh in Week 4, so I think it's crucial to win these next two games against the Raiders and Bengals. I'm confident we'll pull through somehow or another.

  5. Today was really rough, but I do believe we can get a win in this one. I'm not going to underestimate the Raiders, because they're as capable of pulling off an upset as any other team. I just hope the Ravens don't underestimate them. So long as the offense gets a decent grip and the defense keeps up what they've been doing, we'll get the win I think.

  6. Between adjusting with the new offensive system/players and playing at Mile High, I think it'll be a really hard game for the Ravens to win. Not impossible, but very hard. I picked it out as one of our losses this year, and I'm sticking with that as a prediction. I don't think they'll get blown out like they did two years ago, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if they pulled this one out. Broncos 28, Ravens 23.

  7. Mine:

    @ Denver = L

    @ Oakland = W

    vs. Cincinnati = W

    @ Pittsburgh = L

    vs. Cleveland = W

    @ San Francisco = W

    @ Arizona = L

    vs. San Diego = W

    vs. Jacksonville = W

    vs. St. Louis = W

    @ Cleveland = W

    @ Miami = L

    vs. Seattle = L

    vs. Chiefs = W

    vs. Pittsburgh = W

    @ Cincinnati = L

Hoping we can reach 11-5 to improve, but 10-6 is probably most realistic. I could see the Rams surprising us, or us winning again in Miami; otherwise I'm fairly confident with the other picks.

  8. Early game-by-game predictions from me:

at Denver Broncos - L - I don't think we'll be blown out like the 2013 opener, but I think we will have more initial struggles than the Broncos.

at Oakland Raiders - W - I'm doubtful Oakland will be a threat next year; I think we get a sound victory here.

vs. Cincinnati Bengals - W - Crucial home-opener against a division rival. This one won't be easy, but I think we get the job done and win a close one.

at Pittsburgh Steelers - L - With Le'Veon Bell returning and coming off the playoff loss we gave them, I think Pittsburgh will be too hungry and motivated to lose this one at Heinz Field.

vs. Cleveland Browns - W - Still expecting the Browns to be at the bottom of the division; bounce-back victory from Pittsburgh.

at San Francisco 49ers - W - The reunion with Torrey Smith will be interesting. I think we squeak out a narrow road victory in this contest.

at Arizona Cardinals - L - I believe the Cardinals are going to have another very good year; looking for a close game with the home team coming out on top.

vs. San Diego Chargers - W - I know I speak for everyone when I say we haven't forgotten the heart-breaker from last time we faced the Chargers. I believe we finish the job this time.

    BYE

vs. Jacksonville Jaguars - W - By no means do I think this is a gimme game; we all saw just how close it was last time we faced them at M&T Bank Stadium. Still, I think we come out with the win in this one.

vs. St. Louis Rams - L - I'm predicting the Rams are going to have a very good year. I think we lose our first home game to them in a close one.

at Cleveland Browns - W - We've only lost to the Browns once in the Harbaugh-Flacco era. I think it stays that way and we sweep the Browns yet again.

at Miami Dolphins - L - The Dolphins have been mediocre for a while now, but it's not impossible to imagine them breaking out a little more. They'll also want to get us back for the last couple years.

vs. Seattle Seahawks - W - Personally I expect the Seahawks will be a weaker team than the last couple years. It helps a lot that this game is at M&T Bank Stadium, though.

vs. Kansas City Chiefs - L - I hope I'm wrong, but I see us dropping one of the three home games we have in this stretch. I think the Chiefs unfortunately surprise us.

vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - W - This will likely be an extremely crucial game - and a close one, too. I'm looking for a hard-fought, Ravens-Steelers classic, with us getting the nod in this contest.

at Cincinnati Bengals - L - The Bengals should still be contenders this year, and I think it's a tall order for us to sweep them. They get us back in this one.

    FINAL RECORD: 9-7

Of course these are just extremely early predictions. It does seem like a very tough schedule to me; making the playoffs this time around will not be easy at all.
