  1. Great post. This could help us reverse our season and make a playoff bid, but even if not, the young guys are indeed getting better. If we can't make it this year, next year could end up looking really bright still.
  2. Add another classic comment and game to this amazing rivalry.
  3. My point is they put the ball in Flacco's hands too often in the second half. For instance - that one drive we had with a little over two minutes, where he threw 4 times with nothing? That was dumb; we still had timeouts and they didn't run it once. EDIT: ALSO the fake field goal attempt was really dumb. We weren't even in the fourth quarter and it would have been a 3-point game if they took the points.
  4. Absolutely hated it tonight. WAY too much throwing in the second half; they should have given Forsett the ball a lot more than they did. Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the W, but we were still lucky to win tonight.
  5. Can't help but be confident about this one. It'll feel good to be home again, and we've owned the Browns for a really long time now. I think we build off our road win to improve to 2-3 in this one.
  6. I mean we still have SO many problems so optimism isn't what I'm getting, but I'm still so glad that they were able to win this game. The defense was fantastic in the second half - I don't know what changed, but they really pulled off something special this time.
  7. Well, that was literally as an ugly of a win as you can possibly get, but 0-16 is avoided!!! AND we beat our arch rival at their turf, so I am feeling grateful more than anything else. I'm still gathering myself after all that...
  8. Final thoughts: I think Campanaro can help us out a lot in this game; Joe should be throwing to him and Steve Smith Sr. most often. I hope Forsett will have a good night, but my guess is once again it's the passing game that gets us on the board. The secondary won't have as big of a challenge with Vick as QB instead of Roethlisberger, but they'll still probably have their struggles. Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell worry me the most; if the defense manages to contain Bell, though, our chances of winning are pretty good. I would expect a turnover or two from Vick, and hopefully none from Flacco this time. I think it'll be a close one, but I'll pick the Ravens to win it 31-24. Turnovers decide the game in the end...
  9. I'll remain cautiously optimistic going into the game. Our team had better come out swinging, because this is desperation time. The defense has to be playing better, and the offense can't afford to let up at all. Even without Roethlisberger, I don't think this will be an easy game. I did predict that we'll win, but it probably will be closer than we want. The important thing is that we do win and build confidence from there.
  10. He didn't exactly tear them to shreds in the 2012 and 2013 seasons; the only really good game he had in those two years was the Thanksgiving one. Also he was far from stellar in the divisional playoff game back in 2011; you did say the last five years. He played really well in the last playoff game, and he does play pretty well against them usually.
  11. That game is one of my favorite memories in this awesome rivalry; not only did they march into Pittsburgh to steal the win at the end, but also they managed to sweep them for just the second time in Ravens history. Steeler "killer" might be a bit far, but Flacco does generally play well against them. I really believe we can win on Thursday, but Flacco better not be the only player doing his part.
  12. Still kind of hard to judge if you ask me. It's great to see Flacco throwing for more yardage than normal. And in the last two games the offense has looked fine overall (barring the first half of today). But the first game was still a disaster, and it's still pretty early on.
  13. Cool. I'm feeling good about Thursday for the time being though; either way I'm ALWAYS hyped for Ravens-Steelers week. Fantastic rivalry - and still the best in the league. Has been since 2008.
  14. I won mine too, against the top-ranked person in my league! 2-1 now.
  15. It's not technically over, but it's extremely unlikely we'll make the playoffs. I'm sticking with my 6-10 prediction I made a few days ago; it pains me to say it, but I guess we're due for a bad year. 2013 I don't consider "bad", just mediocre. The worst part is just how we could definitely be 3-0, but we blew it in the final moments of every single game. No matter how much we lose I'll still be a fan, but it does hurt a lot to be 0-3.
  16. I'm still not expecting the game to be that easy, considering our bad secondary. But I do think we'll win because of Pittsburgh's suspect D. It could still go either way, but I'm more confident about this one than the first three games. I think we can all agree though the Bengals will win the division easily now.
  17. Sam Bradford looked good in the preseason too. I really think preseason means next to nothing.
  18. So Ben's out at least 4 weeks. I really do think we'll take this one, regardless of how good the rest of our year shapes up. Pre-Ben injury it looks like an guaranteed loss, now I really like our chances.
  19. 3 heart-breakers in a row. All could have been won...
  20. On the bad side, we're 0-3 for the first time ever and our season is all but over. On the bright side, we have a good shot of beating our arch-rival Thursday Night.
  21. I think we actually win this one, with Roethlisberger out (and a weak Steelers' secondary). While it's safe to say our season is pretty much lost, beating the Steelers would still feel good. It's still a losable game, but I think we win it assuming Ben is out.
  22. I wonder if Perriman will be back in time for the Thursday game against Pittsburgh. Not confident about that game at all, but it'd sure help if he made a splash in it.
  23. A turn around isn't impossible; it's just hard to believe after last game. Hoping they'll be extra motivated through these upcoming division games. The Bengals and Browns games at home are next to essential to win.
  24. I'm also dreading the Pittsburgh game a ton. If both offense and defense are having a rough night it could be like a 30-point blowout. On the other hand, if they can both get it together, it might be a close game, but I don't think there's any way we win the game (barring a crazy miracle). Season's all but over if they can't beat the Bengals on Sunday.
  25. Oh I remember it well. Most of our wins AND losses could have gone either way that year. Starting to worry this will be another 2013...
