  1. All I know is that we'll lose. If by some miracle we win, it won't be by more than 3 points.
  2. Just another depressing loss. We may be unlucky, but we truly are bad. We keep finding new ways to lose every week. I really don't know if we'll even win another game this year. No way we'll end up better than 5-11. I'm just ready for it to be over.
  3. I just meant the fact that he's now on our arch-rival's team makes it interesting.
  4. Pretty sad to hear he's a Steeler now. Assuming they keep him long enough, December's game against our rival got a whole lot more interesting.
  5. Right? Regardless in Madden 05 I was able to put up monster stats using him
  6. I miss Ray Lewis and Ed Reed a lot; they had such a huge impact on the field. It is really hard to see how far our defense has fallen this year considering its great legacy. I miss Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones; they gave us some really memorable moments in their time with us. Some particular things in recent memory that I already reminisce about are: the unforgettable playoff run in 2013 (particularly the Mile High Miracle), the snow game against Minnesota back in 2013, sweeping Pittsburgh in 2011, dominating Cincinnati to start the 2012 season (I REALLY miss beating them...). Players like Torrey Smith, Anquan Boldin, and Jacoby Jones helped make those moments happen.
  7. I predict we win this one in an ugly game full of mistakes by both sides. The result could go either way though. Simply picking us for some home cooking.
  8. I'm just glad it's finally here; obviously it's been a really rough season, and luckily we're halfway to finishing it. All joking aside, at least we don't have to witness another heart-breaker next week.
  9. Of course losing Steve Smith Sr. is just awful; I sincerely hope his recovery is smooth and quick. It would be pretty depressing if that is indeed how his career ends. I did predict we'd get this win, so there you go; typical defensive struggles again, having trouble covering anyone. Offense seemed decent though - it was nice to see Flacco not throwing any picks this time. At least we finally got a home win. For those only concerned about the draft pick, I wouldn't worry too much; we barely even won today, and it's not likely we're going to win many more games.
  10. I'm not a fan of Trestman myself; I think both he AND Peas need to go.
  11. But the defense blew SO many opportunities, continuing to let them convert on 3rd down. I guess they were equally bad, but I still think it's dumb to point to Flacco for the loss.
  12. I have to strongly disagree with anyone saying Joe lost us that game. For one thing even if we got the last-second TD the 2 points isn't guaranteed (AND that would have only made it OT), and the defense was worse than the offense.
  13. Chargers might just be weak enough for us to beat. I'll predict we get an ugly win for the heck of it.
  14. Only surprise is that the loss wasn't by a larger margin. Don't think anyone's surprised we lost this one. Anyways, one step closer to ending this awful season.
  15. Though 1-15 is definitely possible I'll predict 4-12, with our last 3 wins coming against Jacksonville, St. Louis, and Kansas City.
  16. Trust me it's one of my worst memories too. But I think that proves my point effectively for this thread.
  17. No. If anything it was unlucky it didn't happen earlier, with the horrible ending to the AFC 2012 Championship game (not saying that guarantees a Super Bowl title, but we would have had a good chance).
  18. I already knew the season was over with last week's loss to Cleveland, but it's still painful to see it get worse. Flacco's turnovers are really getting out of control; 5 of 6 games with at least 1 INT is not good. The defense had some absolutely atrocious plays. I really don't care how close the losses are - we're no better than our record says. If anything we're lucky to have that one win in Pittsburgh. I was foolish to let it give me hope. What a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary - possibly the worst team we've ever had. 2013 looks amazing in comparison. We'll be fortunate to win any games for the rest of this year. We might even be the worst team in the league. I don't think I've ever looked forward to next year as much and as early as this. Maybe we'll be 4-12 to commemorate our first year. Sorry, but I had to vent all this - I still support this team, but man are they frustrating me.
  19. We're going to be killed. That is all.
  20. Feels weird to know we played these guys in the Super Bowl in 2013; two talented rosters... Feels so long ago, considering how far we've both fallen. I think it could go either way, but I'm not expecting anything good after losing to the Browns. I just want the year to be over now.
  21. Maybe next year. As far as I'm concerned losing to Cleveland at home dashes any remote hopes of that. If the Steelers had had a decent kicker October 1 we'd be 0-5.
  22. It's time to tank. This game was the final nail in our coffin this season. Defense's play in the second half was just unacceptable. Considering how depleted we were our offense was about as good as they could have been, but the defense didn't give us a chance. This was just a complete embarrassment - I never thought we'd lose to the Browns at home, but now our team took it to another level today. So disappointed - hopefully next year we'll be back in it.
  23. It's pretty messed up. It's the individuals though, not the fanbase; every fanbase has rotten apples unfortunately.
  24. Honestly I don't know just a random prediction. Let's say Forsett goes off, and the defense gets a lot of turnovers... I hope.
  25. I think our game with them will be a shootout like today was with them against the Chargers. Still I think we pull it out - 35-30.
