  1. How would you guys feel about taking him at #6 overall? He is growing on me a lot and after seeing what Von miller did in the Superbowl I think he could be similar in skillset and impact. If it wasn't for his suspension, he would probably be a top 10 pick anyway.

  2. Because if you can do decent against Oregon's offense you'll DEFINITELY do well against professionals in an actual offense...

With this mentality, you can never predict that any college player will be good in the pros...

So when you say hargreaves will be good (which I agree) once could simply say "because you can do decent against quarterbacks/ wide receivers in college, you'll DEFINITELY doe well against professionals in an actual offense..."

    seems a little bias

  3. This is a tricky one for me. My top franchise piece type prospects are Bosa, Ramsey, Hargreaves and Stanley. All guaranteed top 10 picks at this point. So if we had a top 5 pick I would love to use it on one of these guys. However, I think Ramsey and/or hargreaves can be had in the top 8. So if we could move back only a few spots and still get them then I am fine. But if we traded out of say the top 10 and missed on all 4 of these guys, I would be upset

  4. Agreed. I'd also argue that while DefensiveMind doesn't have ILB as a need, it definitely is. We only have Daryl for a bit longer and Mosley has struggled in pass coverage recently.

Yeah I agree that it is a need, but I don't think it needs to be addressed until next offseason. I guess at this point the coaches have all but given up on arthur brown, which is disappointing because he is a good coverage ILB. But next year should be the year we start looking for a coverage LB to go with Mosley. Unless a lot of the better talent is gone early and Myles Jack is there for the taking. That would be a nice LB core.

    Top 5 Needs

    1. CB- Our secondary is awful
    2. OLB- Suggs and Dumervil are getting up there
    3. WR- Who knows when Perriman will see the field. If SSS is actually retiring, we have an awful group of receivers.
    4. DE- We need a pass rush (see need 2)
    5. RB- Toss up between RB and OL but they go hand in hand and Forsett is getting up there in age and isn't the game breaker we need for the future.

  6. Other than Hill and Smith, our secondary is trash. Our receivers outside of SSS and occasionally Aiken are trash. Our O Line has been pretty bad, and injuries have killed us. I am looking forward to a top 10 pick for the first time in years so thats a plus. We need to start moving veterans around who are needed by legit teams and get whatever we can for them.

  7. Dean Pees should be fired at halftime for all I care. We play 10 yds off receivers and just let them catch it and hope that we tackle them in the open field. We send weak blitzes, we dont spy vick, we dont press with Jimmy freaking Smith. He is the worst defensive coordinator I have ever seen. And what is up with our offensive line. This team makes me sick. Only players that seem to care about winning are Smith Sr. and Daryl Smith. There is no urgency on this team. Its pathetic to watch and frankly embarrassing. This team has the intensity of a 4yr old tee ball team. Put in some of the rookies or backups for all I care, maybe they will play with heart

  8. Pees needs to go, bottom line. He has always been conservative and he scares no offensive coordinator. I miss the days of a rex ryan where an opposing team would stay up at night trying to figure out what the defense will do and how to not turn it over to them. Now they see Pees and know that their receivers will have an 8 yard cushion and simple blitz packages. Im sure pagano will get another HC job somewhere, but if not...

  9. Im actually surprised that I didn't see you give every pick an F! But seriously, I will make a prediction now and in a few years if I am wrong, you can save this post and I'll eat crow. By year 3, Perriman will be a pro bowler and a top 8 receiver in the league.
