  1. At this point in time, we might as well position ourselves for a high draft pick. With the injuries and our defensive coordinator, even if we did get on a run we would get killed in the playoffs

I don't think so we are lucky to get in; anyone face us in the wildcard round gonna be sweatin'....

No they wont. They will be torching our secondary

because our team as a whole always does terrible in the playoffs - /s

  2. coming out of my room to see if he is fired yet...no? ok, ill be back in about a month
  3. Other than Hill and Smith, our secondary is trash. Our receivers outside of SSS and occasionally Aiken are trash. Our O Line has been pretty bad, and injuries have killed us. I am looking forward to a top 10 pick for the first time in years so thats a plus. We need to start moving veterans around who are needed by legit teams and get whatever we can for them.
  4. No we WONT...
  5. Here is to being in position to draft Hargreaves or Treadwell

  6. Webb has got to go... Poor guy is done
  7. At onne time he was a stud, and to no fault of his own he got taken out by injuries. But Webb is done. He probably couldn't cover his mouth when he sneezes

I agree that Webb has been a huge disappointment since his big contract but I think at a certain point you have to accept that corners get beat. There are only a handful of "shutdowns" and the rest of them will have their ups and downs, some more than others.

@sflegend89 What bothers me is how uncontested completions against him are.He doesn't even have the confidence to actually contest passes anymore. When a QB throws at him it's not really a case of if the WR will complete the pass,it's how much yac will he get.

He was close to picking of Vick this Thursday if I remember correctly. Broke on a route pretty nicely, but his play in general leaves a lot to be desired these days.

  8. my heart cant handle this
  9. Dean Pees should be fired at halftime for all I care. We play 10 yds off receivers and just let them catch it and hope that we tackle them in the open field. We send weak blitzes, we dont spy vick, we dont press with Jimmy freaking Smith. He is the worst defensive coordinator I have ever seen. And what is up with our offensive line. This team makes me sick. Only players that seem to care about winning are Smith Sr. and Daryl Smith. There is no urgency on this team. Its pathetic to watch and frankly embarrassing. This team has the intensity of a 4yr old tee ball team. Put in some of the rookies or backups for all I care, maybe they will play with heart
  10. Pees needs to go, bottom line. He has always been conservative and he scares no offensive coordinator. I miss the days of a rex ryan where an opposing team would stay up at night trying to figure out what the defense will do and how to not turn it over to them. Now they see Pees and know that their receivers will have an 8 yard cushion and simple blitz packages. Im sure pagano will get another HC job somewhere, but if not...
  11. With Perriman out and SSS being our only reliable target I think we should look to trade for a WR. Who would you look at? I like Moncrief from the colts and patterson from the vikings
  12. Sit webbs a** on the bench, start Melvin, sit aiken on the bench, play terrence brooks in the secondary, give joe the keys to the offense, use a double tight end set

  13. Joe has 3 TDs and 0 Picks this week

Don't jinx Just say he will have time to throw the winning TD

      polynesian15

Also, he'll have to average 260 yards a game the remaining 15 games if he wants to reach that 4k yard marker.

Get your game face on Joe, there's no time like the present.

  16. So is Perriman playing week 1 or not?

    1. sflegend89

      sflegend89

No, he hasn't practiced at all this week. Probably won't see him until week 3 or week 4

    2. polynesian15

      polynesian15

Yeah, I'm thinking between week 4-8. Depends on when he's cleared for field work. You have to ease him back in, considering the severity of the injury and how long they've held him out thus far.

Can't wait for him to play!

  17. Lets hope this works out like the last time a HOFer announced his retirement
  18. Im actually surprised that I didn't see you give every pick an F! But seriously, I will make a prediction now and in a few years if I am wrong, you can save this post and I'll eat crow. By year 3, Perriman will be a pro bowler and a top 8 receiver in the league.
  19. Im saying in a draft of all the players to play in the NFL. Those two would be my first two picks regardless of position or player. And yes I am very bias haha
  20. honestly, I think Terrence Brooks will make a big leap forward and be our starting FS by next year opposite Will Hill

    1. stampedehero

      stampedehero

Monroe was a caualty and I hope he's the only one. First day and he breaks his leg. Wish him good luck

      757RavensFan

I like Brooks' potential but unfortunately, he's gonna be on the PUP for the 1st 6 games. Barring injury, it will probably be hard for him to unseat Lewis.

Sorry for the confusion everyone, I meat by the end of his 3rd year. Not next year.

  21. If im building a team, Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are the first two im picking
  22. Now chris simms says polamalu is better than E. Reed? What is wrong with these people

    1. DefensiveMind

      DefensiveMind

If you look at records held, pro bowls, interceptions, TDs, passes defended, All pro, Reed holds the advantage in everything. All polamalu has is sacks, tackles and FF. We are talking safeties not linebackers.

    2. Wildabeast88

      Wildabeast88

And Chris Simms sucked so his opinion means nothing to me. The real question is ow many times did Ed pick him off

    3. berad

      berad

Ridiculous part is that Simms never even played the Steelers - not that he played that much, anyways. The one game where he played the Ravens, the 2006 opener, he threw three picks and a healthy 30.5 QB rating... one pick to - that's right - Edward Reed. The others were to Haloti (his first game) and CMac. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200609100tam.htm
