I think this is the year the fans get what they want

We hope:D we really need a pass rusher in the early rounds. Why not get it out of the way at 16 if Barnett is there. I don't think any pass rusher beside garret, Thomas and Barnett is worth taking at 16. IMO I'd rather have Barnett more then Solomon Thomas and possibly Myles garret.

  2. I tried to keep redoing this mock but Derek Barnett keep making it to 16th so I guess it's meant to be. :D

I'd be happy with fournette at 16... ecstatic as a matter of fact, under one condition. We make a very honest effort to stack the offense around him and joe and don't run him into the ground before it's time to make a serious run at a ring.

stop insisting that Alex Lewis is set in stone at LG and get a dominant man blocker, stop searching for zone blockers and stop trying to force the inside zone which is an extremely difficult scheme to execute. Start utilizing pull blocks and pre snap motions with our TEs and H-backs(something cam Cameron actually did well and created a lot of production in the power run game).

If we got fournette at 16, first off, it's a total steal, but this team is not built right now to make a hefty investment in a workhorse RB, use a multi back system and don't force touches and destroy our prized back early in his career, once we beef up the front some more and maybe get a legit receiving threat, then we can start pounding the rock 25 times a game with fournette and another 10 times with Dixon.

With Greg Roman I think you'll get those pulling gaurds. I just didn't like some of Romans passing plays. We have to beef up our o line some how or some way no matter who's at RB. Imagine the possibilities with fournette behind a strong o line. IMO he has big potential of being a home run hitter. To be honest Id hate to face him twice a year too.

PFF is doing a live mock right now, and Fournette fell to pick 40.  No, the 0 is not a typo.  40 as in 2nd round.

Fournette wouldn't even make it past 16 because our FO would take him. Unless he has a video leak with a mask on.:P

  5. John Ross- we don't need an injury prone WR no matter how fast.

Ruben Foster- I just feel our FO has been successful finding gems with UDFA's to play ILB. We have a lot of other glaring holes.

Any O linemen- our FO has been good at finding talent in later rounds. This year the o line class is not too strong IMO. I would like an O linemen in the 2nd or even 3rd round though.

Any CB- CB draft class is crazy deep and can be had in the 2nd or 3rd rounds. Plus lattimore who's a top CB according to analyst is sort of injury prone.

I doubt it, but I'm still hoping there's a push and qb scare before us so some top talent falls.

1: Corey Davis- we need him and he will be there at 16 with the surgery and all.

2: Sidney Jones- best CB in the draft and the surgery went well, will play this year. Won't drop that far.

3: Tim Williams- hoping but I've seen mock draft experts with him dropping big time.

3: Jabrill Peppers.- has no real position. Can't keep up with fast players. Over rated. More of a kick off return guy. Needs time to develop.

    Huh?

    Love the first 4 picks.

Might have gone with a CB over Jackson if Howard Wilson, Corn Elder, Akhello Witherspoon, or Kazee were available.

    Like Conner a lot too.

And I'm intrigued by Griffin. Would prob prefer the above guys if one dropped... also like Treston Decoud a lot who should be available around this point -- but Griffin has size/length and tons of raw athleticism. Developmental project but that's expected at this point in the draft.

Overall id be pumped with this haul.

So maybe I should do another mock draft? Lol:)

  8. I'd be happy with this draft. If Barnett is not there at 16 I'd be happy with M Williams. He reminds me of a Dez Bryant type WR but with better hands. Lol. I like eflien pick, I'd hope he could be a day 1 starter though. I'm thinking Anderson won't be there in the 3rd, but if he is I'd be happy with that pick too. I'd rather have a better CB in the 3rd then a DT. Then another O linemen in the 4th. IMO :D

  9. I'm not sure how much cap space we got left but I hope we can sign Center Mangold if he's healthy. Then maybe our FO could draft pat elflein or Ethan pocic to learn behind mangold for a year or 2. I can't wait to see what our O line will look like come week 1 reg season. I hope it becomes our strength, because it only got weaker from what was already weak. Lol

  10. I like the possibilities our secondary has coming into 2017. I know our FO has confidence in our young D line but losing Lawrence Guy and Timmy Jernigan leaves us with just 1 starter from last years roster.  Expectations will be high for our run defense to put up the same type of stats we had last year, it's going to be another interesting season. Hope we can land a hungry young pass rusher in this draft!

The problem is that Mangold is on his last leg in his career and comes with injury concerns. Respectively, we probably won't get much of a boost from a healthy Zuttah to what Mangold will offer.

When healthy, there is no comparison.

Mangold's been to 7 pro bowls.

I wonder who's game ready plug and play from the draft? Pocic? Eiflien? I'm not sure that there is one. Yanda would be a big help for a top rookie prospect though.

I dont really care but how did I get a neg for that 1st question? Too many emotional people in here. Lol

  12. I liked timmys porential, but got frustrated with him for some of his dumb rpenalties. He probably would have done better being that this is his contract year. I just wish we got a 2nd round pick for him and our 3rd. Thst would have been pretty sweet

The 2nd round for me is the round where I don't see much value on the offensive line other than feeney if he drops or elflein - I see much better value for our picks in every other round including the first

I feel the complete opposite. I feel the O line class is kind of weak and that some of the 1st round talent would have a hard time being in the 1st round in most of the past years. So I think if some of them slide to the 2nd is where their value would be good. That's just me. I also feel that our FO has their eyes on couple O line guys that could slide or some sleepers in the mid rounds. Mainly because our FO always finds talent in the mid rounds.

I'm hoping a guy like Dawkins slides to us in the 2nd, may have to move up to get him but he's a protypical LG. One thing is for certain, were gonna draft a OL maybe even 2 in the first 4 rounds.

I like Dawkins and I think he might be there at 48 but I also like Dan freeny and pat eflien who both been dropping some. I also like Dorian Johnson as a guard. I've seen somewhere that Ethan pocic would be a nice fit a gaurd instead of center. Guess there's a lot of decent options out there. Just got to wait and see:rolleyes:
